c99 now in Flower-day 13--Profile Corrections--New Bloom Profile

c99 now in Flower-day 13--Profile Corrections--New Bloom Profile

I just discovered my profile numbers cited previously were off. I'd mistakenly entered 1% Ca into the calculator for Pura Vida--which inflated the Ca ppm's (corrected & updated now--previousposts and respective Ca profiles edited  )

Folks, we're in Bloom Phase now...

I have been foliar feeding regularly which has lead to some burned tips. But I also have tip burns from Nitrex (OMRI Nitrogen)--time to ramp down

Turn off the light--Top

Full body Shot

New mix for Flower Phase--per gallon 0 ppm source water:

Pura Vida - 12.5 ml
Calplex - 5 ml
Sweet - 7.5 ml
Fulvex - 7.5 ml
Pro Silicate - 1.3 ml
Nitrex - 1.3 ml

Profile:

N 104
P 100 <----I cannot get there with PBP
K 200
Mg 70
Su 42
Ca 55

I fertigate daily with little to no runoff.--A handwater topside capillary
I do this by alternating the solution volume

Thought I'd throw in a shot of Legends Mountain Mix
Love this plant--taken at day 10

Day 17--Bloom Mix--so far so good

Day 17--Bloom Mix--so far so good

Every time I make a change--I want to follow up with a quick update. Plants react to bad mixes in pure coco rather quickly! So after a few days we'll get changes documented with pictures. Gonna roll with this mix for another week or so...

Temps low 70's
RH% controlled at 55% lights on, 45% lights off
No Co2
1Kw HPS/Hortilux

New mix results--Day 17:

The Legends Mountain Mix

Some Day 46 Pics

Some Day 46 Pics

I ended up increasing pro-silicate and ramping down calplex earlier. After week 4 (or 5?--I documented it in another thread--forgot exactly when)

I subsequently went to Tap Water, Sweet, and Pura Vida, and dropped the silicate--for late flower. I don't use meters, so I cannot provide any readings. I have to use pH down to get the liquid yellow.

slips--didn't mean to disrespect your thread by deleting pics--but I wanted to put them all in an organized Album. I've got most of them uploaded to my wallyduck Album. Make sure you compare Albums--look at the GN F2 album PBP/DWC pics. Not as Fat...but taller....and dank. The day 38 sample tastes good.
I remember slips telling me he tasted the Silica Blast in my last c99--so after week 4 (or 5) I eliminated pro-silicate from the program....

Again, sorry for the missing pics. It's the buds that matter anyways--they're getting dense--and fox tailing now...

Dam vt no disrespect at all man to my thread ... that herb looks dank ... it's nice to see someone else using organics that i can compare to I was having allot of issues ,,,but seem to have solved everything with my new schedule ... check it out in the coco thread ... the issues i had previously with pure videa i believe was to me allowing the coco to dry out occasionally and not treating it like a hydro medium. Live and learn.

I laughed at the new add for this stuff that says something to the effect of:
Use what "OG" growers have already known for years

Some of these adds are off the chain.

I dont like the fact that there is no Ca mentioned on the lable. Then when I ask, the rep says that I can supliment with MagiCal if I need extra. hmmm.

"I veg with Botanicare. But just switched the entire crop to Pura Vida for transition.
I'm using Calplex, Sweet, and Fulvex (1% Mg) for cal/mag, as Pura Vida has none."

pretty sure the Calplex has Magnesium (mg) also;
plus the Fulvex mg & Pure Vida (has .5% mg) sounds like Mg
on 3 fronts

No calcium in PV.

Slips the grow is looking good. The E&F tables
reminded me of how much dirt they collect in the grooves.
I'm not fond of that (algae home for gnats)
but
your lights could use some adjusting from the pic.
try to keep them level (lots o light hitting the wall, check pic)
& parrallel for overlapping light.

the bulb end ((Not base end) should face that wall for increased light.

I've used this stuff for a while now and know a little bit about it. Maybe I can shed some light...

On the calcium issue...There is calcium in PVO, however it is less than 1% so it isn't on the label. The reason I was told that calcium is so low is that when they tried to bolster the calcium content by adding more certified calcium...there was lockout, fallout, precipitate, whatever you want to call it. <<- Makes sense :)There is a reason every nute mfr makes a separate calcium product. It's because you can only have so much calcium in a one part before it chemically shuts everything down and the product doesn't work right. So...they told me they left the calcium where it was, with intentions of releasing the organic mag/cal to compliment the PVO soon after. <<--i haven't seen the organic mag/cal yet though...

I personally would rather have something that was more thought out, and less complete...than to have something that looks complete on the label, but wasn't thought out properly and doesn't work in the end.

Either way...I don't mind using a non organic source of calcium or magnesium. I've grown with 100% organics and 100% mineral salts, and once you figure both out, they both give fantastic results. I still tend to gravitate towards organics, I guess that's why I am using PVO... but there isn't any reason to be soo picky that you couldn't use a calmag+ or magical to bump mag and cal levels in your nutrient solution.

what are some organic cal-mag supplements. I am attempting to replace calmag+ with a 100% organic solution. So far i have come up with Molasses and epsom salts. I am in coco and usually have plants hungry for cal and mag.

organicare and cutting edge solutions both have separate organic cal and mag.

Slips...my main man! What's happenin? I've got the perfect hood for you. Look into the Magnum XXL's from Sunlight Supply. I've seen a few of these running and they are worth every penny. I've seen EVERY reflector lit with bulbs...from hydrofarm to sunlight to hydrotek to all the off brands, and I have never seen a reflector that spread as evenly as this one does. You can get the lens within 6 inches from the tops and you would still have even light coverage on the edges of your 4x4 table.

Go lite ... use less cal mag and pk than with pure blend ... does great with mollasses at 15ml a gallon ... only con is it costs allitle more ... I love it

really slips? Use less Calmag? The plants i was just running in Pura showed some calcium def. spotting around 4 weeks in. I was using RO water with ml. pura and 5 ml calmag.
I thought it was a lack of calmag but i ain't doubting you. Maybe i'll try less next time instead of more.

im sorry to say...but any product that smells like molasses..even just a little..is a gimmick to me. and Pura Vida surely smells like you know what..haha

Lily is very correct, it has just a little bit of cal mag in it..not really much considering its PURELY organic base...i forget does PBP have cal mag in it...dont think so if im not mistaken, when using organis, usuually you must amend with cal/mag on the side., especially when using R/O..i cannot stress this enough...remember cal mag makes a great buffer to prevent ph swings in your medium, i like to add a tad when i feed each time.

anyways, it is taking twice as much solution to raise the PPM's than what the bottle states..either that or its weak as piss...i paid 27.50 for a liter....yes i regret it, never again. FloraNova all the way for me! carry on!
