I've recently gotten into several debates with family members about the "dangers of weed" and everytime this came up:
"you never know what the dealers put in there...it's never just weed..."
Yes...Yes it is just weed, it's always just weed. It sells itself. It needs no help. no dealer on earth is lacing their weed. Not only would it have to be a substance that could be smoked, but what other drug is cheap enough that you could afford to lace your weed and still turn a profit? And i know exactly what is in my weed cuz i put it there. Of course i can't tell them that.
to my family...you are ill informed and possibly retarded.
Dumb questions, comments, and advice i've recieved:
"after you cut the plant down for harvest, leave it under the HPS for 1 more light cycle...that allows it to produce more resin."
No it doesn't...light degrades THC, that's why you dry and cure in the dark...and have you ever tried to trim a wilted plant? fucking retarded.
"hang it upside down so gravity can pull THC and Resin to the buds"
No...it doesn't work like that. Hanging is just easy...that's it.
"i let my PPM get up to 500 and the plants burned right up"
I doubt it, mine run at 1600 and i rarely go beyond tip burn. Check your pH and raise your lights.
"I don't know if i'd put that Odor Neutralizing Agent in the grow room...the plants will smell like that shit."
No...they wont. that doesn't even make sense.
"it's such a temperamental plant, everything has to be perfect for it to grow"
hardly. Just provide a few basics: Light, Air, and food. even if you do nothing else, you'll at least get something.
I also hear "what STRAND is this" a lot. Drives me crazy.

I looked at him and asked him if he was serious. He's like, "yeah, chop at the stem and hang upside down so all the resin drains in the buds from the roots". I told him he's a dumbass, because if you chop the plant there is no root system attached anymore, therefore nothing can drain. I told him he's gotta hang the whole plant upside down including pot. if it's grown outdoors, he's shit outa luck.
Man, he actually had a serious conversation about that with me. At the end he told me that he didn't want to tell me how to grow, cause i am obviously successful. Wow, what a friend i am!

Have you ever tried it?
I know that back in school, we placed white flowers into solution with dye, and the flowers would suck up the color and the petals would turn color... I don't think he is that far off... if grape juice will do... i don't know... but it's deff. possible to alter a plants color using some sort of liquid dye.
someone should do a mythbuster type of thread regarding the issue about food colouring and smells like banana being added through root-feeding.
