Things are looking pretty good. Even with temps in the 90s the soil is staying cool once you get about 4 inches down.

Ive got clones rooting now to replace any that are lagging or missing. Waiting till the swamp starts growing a bit before i put any more trashcans out. Another couple rains and those trashcans should be surrounded by lush vegetation

Bring on the rain!!

The bags are the big $7 bags of Jungle Growth soil from Lowes...

Took 2 bags to fill each one.

Gonna have to run the water hoses out again tonight to water em.

Yo bro, lookin' good!! Do about 4-6"'s of mulch right up to the lower leaves, this will cut your trips some. And do add some screening I had one w/o, as I left it at base camp and they were munched up, lol. I bought 100 feet of 7 foot wide deer netting, nice and light to carry in and is tuff tuff nylon. It has very small gaps so even smaller critters are put off. What ferts are you usin'? I am doin Age Old Organics with TP, Mycor, Lac B and loads of polymer as I am in a very dry region. Good luck to ya!!

yah bro this is a good thread. i am doing something similar but not trash cans, rather those carboard cylinder / pillar forms they use for forming concrete pillars. also i got some 7' deer netting too to keep those sons of bitches at bay for some of my plots. hate em.

what nutes u using?? im thinking of just using some Advanced nutrients heavy harvest 3 phase time release in there cause i dont fancy mixing and setting up a big guerrilla reservoir to mix nutes in. was going to use organics but some of my tubes are not going to be protected by deer fence so i dont wanna risk critters getting attracted to bone and blood meals

Yeah ive been thinking about the mulch on the top. It really wood help.

I put some time release ferts i got from lowes in there. Need to find a good top dressing fert for em. Might even use some Floranova once the rains start.

really looking forward to watching this. also doing the swamp thing myself this year, slightly different, but same idea. hope to get a thread going soon, little behind though. the start of the season is always tough when growing in swamps, hauling all that stuff through knee-deep water and tangled brush so thick even the deer can't get through....looks like you got that taken care of though and are getting to the fun part already. mad props and best of luck.

Thanks man! Yeah those stems are nice! Sucks about the watering though. I checked the 7 day forcast and nothing but sunshine so i had to water em. Now, 2 days later, its raining balls outside and looks like rain for the next 5 days. This fcking weather people look out the window like everyone else. Doppler 5000 my ass...
