Growing in an Aerogarden

After three weeks you can switch the lights to 12/12 and leave them there until harvest. You can also let them veg longer then 3 weeks and grow them bigger if you want really depends on your grow space.

so basically vegging is for size? the longer you veg the biggr the plant and the shorter the smaller. i have space but once the ones in the aero start growing bigger ill be looking to transplant again. if i switched it to 12/12 in a couple days will this have a negative effect on the plant besides size?

Kyle, Yes that is right but the size of the plant is also dependent on the size of the pot they are in. You are looking at a foot of growth per gallon. Switching the light now would stress them they did a little longer to recover (if it had been a soil to soil transplant it won't need the extra time but going from hydro to soil is a bigger adjustment).

alright thanks rose. ill definitly leave them for a little while longer so they dont get too stressed. im not sure what gallon the pot is though. it said 14" on it. .

so thats definitly big enough for root space correct? ill post pictures of updates with the new seeds in the aerogarden an the transplanted ones.

better pictures.

Rose, two of my seeds have germinated and grown into seedlings, just with their first set of leave. The other two have popped open but have not came out of the pods or grown much in the last two days. Do you think they are ok? I took them out and looked at them, they both have a small root that looks white and healthy. One of them is the feminized strawberry cough, could it just be taking longer? The other is one of the ak-48. Anyway, the AK-48 that has started growing is great looking, it has a dark reddish purplish color on the edges of the leave, ill try to get pics up soon. Thanks Rose!

Doug, It's probably nothing to worry about they dodn't always grow at the same rate. A lot of the times the ones who grow the fastest are males.

ok so this i my second grow as i am still new to it all, but is it me or is there something up with these two little ones? they look nothing like the third. and one of the seeds didnt even start to grow. here is probaly a stupid question but which way do you position the seed when first putting it in the aero/soil? thanks

Kyle, They look fine. Keep the domes off of them from here on out. You'll also want to make a collar for them take a thin piece of cardboard or something cut it in a circle cut a center hole and then cut a slit and carefully slide it onto the stem so that it covers the grow sponge you don't have to but you'll get algae if it don't.

small update. 19 days back in re veg. i think i may switch it back to 12/12 within the next couple of days.. . ?

Here are four Pure Afghan clones i gave to my friend to grow with the aero garden. He used the "herbs" nutes and yielded about an oz. Sticky and potent but small sized buds. i havent been following the forum, what strain do you use lowryder?
