Social sites suck. It's like having Big Brother riding your jock strap.

I'm slightly reclusive. I like my privacy and my "alone time".. In person, phone, email and postal mail is enough for me. Then I still change my email and phone # every few years or less.

This is a social site! I can be reclusive myself...but I have to interact with ppl to learn.....and I try to learn daily something. It is good for the mind to constantly seek knowledge and education empowers the mind.

Good subject for the Womens Forum...but I think I pissed off the toker women here and am talking to men there now...but pops is cool...

Actually she is highly accomplished cardiac RN /Charge Nurse and will be 43 soon. But she has many friends around the world from her stint in the Navy during Desert Storm. She communicates with ppl still from the Azzore Islands even...And she has a teaching degree from UT before she switched to nursing. But thank God I only have one daughter because raising her was difficult as actually we are too much alike. She is the spitting image of me and of course hates that....te he.... Had 4 sons though...

She actually did her thesis on MMJ and is an advocate although she no longer tokes per her career goals....but she like me looks forward to retirement and toking again.

I only had one kid who ended up being a so called "loser" and he died in a Texas prison from being a crack addict. Armed robbery for crack....he was once a nurse also and I raised his 2 daughter after he went to prison and had to inform them of his death....CRACK IS WHACK....FO SHO and I try to educate the young about our personal family tragedy.

But I still REALLY don't consider him a loser and will love him till I die. Moms do that you know....we ALL have our crosses to bear. I consider that he was ill as drug addiction is an illness. When he was very...very small he had a teen mother with a 9th grade education and a father involved in one of the worst battles in Nam in 65.....

I grew up without a mom....hid dad grew up without a dad....So I am sure WE DID make mistakes with our children along the way.

But all my other kids are high achievers and very educated and one son is even very wealthy and even bought me my condo here....Of course I am his granny nanny so I don't get off scott free....

4 outta 5 ain't bad these days and good luck raising your kids. It was the hardest....yet most satisfying job of my life.

If i was tweeting right now, i'd inform you that i am procrastinating, drinking coffee, and hitting my bong... who cares about that shit?!?!?! no one! so why write it publicly like people care? Facebook is at least a form of networking (i hate facebook also) and serves somewhat of a purpose. Twitter, a sad excuse to try and get human contact in my book.

Well it definately is not for me as I don't like to live chat. But Hillary...Demi...and Pelosi are twittering....so I had to find out for myself....but some of us olders are disabled and twittering might help us communicate. ALL of my family is still in Texas except my nuclear family is here.

But I already forgot my password and they will mail me another. But prolly not gonna be for me. My daughter is also active in Cubano anti-Castro politics and her husbands only access to communicate sometimes with his father a university prof there in Cuba is online. He has not seen his parents in 10 years. Things we Americans take for granted is talking daily to family.

I am oldretiredrn.....but I need to find WTF I did with my password.

That is Candy Barr America's first PORN QUEEN and Jack Ruby's muse before he killed Oswald...She got 2 dogs as a gift from him when she got out of prison 2 weeks before Kennedy was killed..
Lots of people don't know the Candy Barr connection.

But Dallas was a very narrow minded area in the 60's and Juanita was the one who paid the price as she was controvercial.. But while imprisoned at GOREE in Texas she would perform in the prison rodeo yearly & she could sing beautifully. She was a poet also and published a beautiful book of poems about her prison stay. Very deep and also early enlightened and never hurt anybody really...OH well she did shoot her husband BUT he deserved it..te he


But Juanita loved her weed and Bing Crosby's son was quoted as saying....she really knew how to treat a man.. got to see her perform only once at the Carousel Club in 68 and she was singing Please Realease Me Let me Go and brought down the house. She was quite beautiful until she died a few years ago in Texas in seclusion...but most Texansdo mourn her loss really. But she was an early weed advocate with balls to defy! Google her as she DOES still have quitea following and is a legend in prudish Texas.

Possibly as Juanita was the first....Juanita was born early in the 20th Century. I lived a lot in Dallas back in the day and she was truly famous in that area. But there is a book on her life now and she did make a movie, Some say she looked like Debbie Reynolds. But she was truly a tragic figure and was sacrificed for her notoriety. But still a beauty when I saw her once at the club singing. But google her weed fight and how she paid dearly for her love of weed. We better stay on subject as I am on the KG shitlist now!

But I will start a new thread later with one of her sad poems. A true leader in the early weed movement ...
