Im working on getting the pictures of my current girls up, I have to get my camera from a friends house. Most likely today though.

Update: today is 2 days into the new aero grow. i put my akxdiesel auto flowers in the aero. WHAT should the lighting time be for the autoflowers??

also today is the second day since i transplanted the other non AF's. here are some pictures please let me know if they look good or bad or whatever! i just dont know what to look for this is all new for me. THANKS :joint:

Doug, They are looking nice and frosty. It is pretty easy to start them in the aero and transplant them into soil. You don't want to give them nutes until they start to show growth in the soil. Be sure to mix in perlite into your soil I use the saucer from my 8" pots that I place inside the 3g pots I use so that the water drains slower. I mix the soil with water first in a bucket with a little super thrive to a soupy consistancy I then hold the plant in the pot while I gently scoop the soil mix from the bucket into the pot a little at a time. If you have the break away pots in your aero then you should remove them if you don't then leave them on until harvest.
Kyle, Don't worry if they wilt a little bit they should come back just fine just a little shock from the transplant..

new seeds in the aero, are they upside down? oh yea and sorry fo the HORRIBLE quality.

I'm pretty sure that the one in the first picture is upside down. I cant tell in the second picture. I had one of mine upside down the first time and I just carefully took it out of the sponge and flipped it around and set it back in the sponge gently.

Rose, how many days before harvest should I flush the plants? I read somewhere a week and flushed them yesterday, today they looked terrible so I fed them. I dont know what to do. I am using FoxFarms big bloom and thats it. Do I even need to flush them if thats what Im using? Thanks a lot for your help!

yea i looked into the sponge and i think they were upside down cause now the white root is facing down. which is correct i believe? by the way nice plants dougi. im also going to be going away for a little while. hopefully the girls stay alive for a week. they shuld if i water right before i go right? and the ones in the aero will be little. cant wait.

You transplanted them into soil right? If you did I am sure they will be fine for a while if you just watered before you leave. Mine in the aerogarden use an incredible amount of water, so I don't think I could leave them very long on there. But just the little seelings should be pretty much fine too.

Kyle, Doug is right just gently pull them out and right them again. I have had that happen to mine its no big deal. The seedlings should be fine while you are gone they don't start to really drink until there second or third week. As long as it isn't too warm or dry your potted ones should be fine if you water them before you leave. Depending on their size and the conditions you can put a saucer under them with an inch or two of water.

Doug, Personally I don't flush the aero's grows listen to your plants they clearly didn't like it(G)

Rose,
I have just gotten my new seeds. I have:
1X - Feminized Strawberry Cough
1X - Feminized Red Dragon
2x - AK-48
My original plan was to plant them all together in the Aerogarden. When they got large enough, transplant the two feminized plants to soil and keep them as mothers. I wanted to try cloning with the aerogarden. Do you think this is a good idea? I was also considering making the AK-48 a mother if possible and if I get a female.
Anyways, my main concern is for the 2 feminized seeds. I really want them to germinate and grow. Do you think the aerogarden is the best/safest way to go for starting them and then transplanting to soil? Of should I just germinate them the old fashioned way and plant them directly into soil?

dougi from my experience with the aero, they germinate really good. my new seeds had the white tail coming out in legit 2 days. and your plants will grow. i am heading back to my plants in like 3 days. hopefully the ones in soil will still be good to go. and the new ones in the aero should be fine too.

Doug, I like to germinate with the aero myself but go with what you feel the most comfortable with. Cloning with the aero works great but you'll still want to rig up some kind of glass or plastic covering so that you can keep the humidity up so the leaves can feed the clones until the roots develop. I use wide mouth Ball canning jars

Doug, I love them you can take a one or two liter plastic bottle cut off the top and use them as domes but while cheaper they are too lite IMHO and can fall over too easily.

update: they survived. this is day 12 of re-vegging them. they look alright?

Kyle, They are looking good and recovering from the transplant they easily double in size over the next 3 weeks.

alright so i should keep them in veg for about another 3 weeks? then how long will i have to leave them in 12/12 again? or i dont have to switch again?
