FloraNova really brings the pH down, would be worth a few bucks to get atleast a liquid tester. At full strength FNB will prolly be too low of a pH, unless your starting pH is really high. RO water and FNB will require pH up. Once u have it in the 5.8-6.0 range you can do add backs with diluted FNB to raise ppm and lower pH. You maybe able to pull it off without any meters, but in that small of a container do not be surprised if they run into problems. Once they start budding 8 girls will be very thirsty and if you do not know your levels things can get out of whack fast. That is not much water, you will have to keep a good eye on them. just make sure the rockwool does not stay soaked or get neoprene collar instead. Good luck!!
Well as far as the rw goes they are fully rooted into the cubes so I cant just rip them out and put them in a collar so I'll leave it be and see what happens.. and I don't have any ph issues from what I can tell but I'll get a liquid tester soon..

My pleasure, thanks for having me. Any suggestions on some genetics for the Doc's method. My preferences would be Thundrgoo and Chesaw since they are both hybrids that have been proven to suceed under the circumstances. But since they are not available to me I looking am looking to create something else that will work. What do you think about LA Woman for a test?

With SWC if you have too many plants for the space, stronger plants will over take weaker ones and therefore it might just be best to cut the numbers to begin with instead of them getting tangled.
Is that tube just blowing air or is it from a reservoir? Another issue with smaller SWC setups is the pH will be very sensitive at such a low volume of water. This could be easily avoided with a reservoir hydro setup and I wonder how it would work with 20oz bottles as their own hydro bottle.

No it's hooked up to a 5" air stone I basically just used my old bubble cloner cuz I had always wanted to leave some in there and feed them then flower it but I had 15 in the lid so it was way too many to do that with and I had these 8 clones layin around that I didn't plan on using in my 20oz soil grows so here we are...

The only difference I've seen between soil and hydro is the speed of growth. If you want to keep those Goo's at under 18" I'd chop them down to about an inch to two inches in height before flowering. You've done hydro before so you should know!
I'm definitely interested to see how this goes. I know you'll like the pH buffering of the Nova series of nutes. Sure makes a heck of a difference, especially when you're working in a small res like that.

I don't want to be a party pooper but I don't think this is gonna go good at all. As mentioned above, rockwool is gonna drown those puppies from always being soaked, and 8 is way too many especially for such a small container and it being see through. Plus trying to get 2 or 3 weeks veg is gonna make the roots fill that container and it will go dry in an hours time easily. I don't know man....I think you're pushing it way to far on this one but I'm definitely willing to watch and would love to be proven wrong. Pushing the boundaries is what it's all about.....hell, we grow marijuana forchrist'ssake! LOL :laugh:
Well I don't think they will drown as they aren't touching the water anymore and just the roots are, I made the res light proof with duct tape today and put them into flower!! So this should work out IMO and Hyrdo-Soil I've only done a DWC veg for a good 2 months or so till the plant got to tall well plants cuz I had 2 of them in 2" net pots in coco and I just used clones out of the bubble cloner and it worked pretty damn good I think I have pics around here somewhere I might not have had batteries at the time but I didn't care to share it anyway as I knew I wasn't flowering it but now that I'm not using my bubble cloners I have another pump I can use for it and just use coco in the net pots again and flower them we'll see

You're going to love hydro but, yeah, you're most likely going to run into issues with the root mass in that tiny thing.
Might want to pull a couple of them. Say cut it down to 4, two on each end or something?

Ok everybody so I have a update so you can see how things are looking so far.I can say the rw are going to be fine as they are just moist like they would be when cloning anyway and the roots are dangling in the water and growing fast!! Hydro-Soil no I'm not on new meds haha just lasy sometimes and I think this is going to be fine with 8 of them and the roots tangling isn't going to be a problem IMO

That's pretty sweet looking. Looking at it makes me visualize a lollypop with a stem where the stick would be and a nug where the candy would be!
Well I have a little update and we are down to 7 plants cuz I wasn't happy with the root system on one of them cuz it wasn't shooting roots all over the place, reaching for the water like the rest of them are. I'm shocked at how much faster the roots are growing since I taped up the res so thanks for making me do it....
