Capo's First Coco Run/Nirvana Afghani*/Mazar-I-Sharif**

Here are the pics I took last night. Day 10 of 12/12. So far the tallest Mazar pheno has shown it's sex of female. I'm assuming the other 9 will show sex within the next 3-4 days. Upon inspection early this morning (Day 11 12/12) before the lights went off, I did not see any other plants showing any signs of sex.

Group Shot of the three Mazars and two Afghans:

Clone of "The Black" (I was mistaken when i said earlier that "the Black" single plant was a female...We are not sure yet...but we will find out as soon as it shows sex. I hope it's a female...nothing like pacific northwest bud:joint:

lookin pretty sweet man. I can't wait to see how your afghani's turn out! I am jealous of that GDP mom you lucky dog. keep it up.

check your PM's

Hey bud:wave:, My first coco run will be godberry, mississippi mud, & a couple bagseed.
I'm stoked & ready to go, just got a new tent Dr120, upgrade in lights, from a 400-1000wt. :woohoo: . I have high expectations, hope i don't get let down.
I've read soooo much on coco, i think i'm ready, for me being a lurker:lurk:
i tend to read to much {if thats possible}.
good luck on the rest of your grow, i'll be watching & learning.

There's no such thing as reading to much when it comes to doing research on cannabis cultivation. I'm jealous of the Dr120...I wish I had the room for something like that right now:wallbash: I think you are really going to like coco! This is the first time I've used it...and I can tell you that I won't be growing with anything else but Botanicare CocoGro for a long time! If you've taken the time to do your research you will achieve those high expectations that you have.

As far as changes go, I increased the dose of Open Sesame from 1/8tsp/gal to 1/4tsp/gal. Open Sesame is given every other day (e.o.d.) and when I give them the Open Sesame, I lower my regular nutrient dose of Micro/2ml/gal, Grow/2ml/gal, Bloom/2ml/gal to Micro/2ml/gal, Grow/1.5ml/gal, Bloom/1ml/gal. This is because O.S. is high in Phosforus, (I know that's not the right spelling) so I don't want to burn them.

So tonight the feeding schedule looks like this:

1/4tsp/gal Open Sesame

1/2tsp/gal Myco Madness

Micro/2ml/gal, Grow/1.5ml/gal, Bloom/1ml/gal

Questions/Comments welcome.

-Peace

Yo Capo what nutes you using? and are you just doing 2/2/2 for the tranasition to flower? can you let me in a bit more on your feeding solution?[/QUOTE]

Basically, When I feed them the Open Sesame,(which is every other day) I reduce the dose of the base-nutrients (which would be the Humboldt Grow, Micro, and Bloom) because the Open Sesame is quite strong with the Phosphorus, so It's really just a pre caution for not burning the plants. However, I have noticed a slight amount of burning when just using the micro grow bloom by itself at 2ml/gal,2ml/gal,2ml/gal so I'm going with Micro2ml/gal, Grow1.5ml/gal, and as of last night I've substituted my Humboldt bloom for my Fox Farms Big Bloom with a first feed of 1/2Cup/gal, then 4Tbs/gal there after.

Hey capo your GDP look sweet. I usually smoke satiyas as i like the energizing high, and walking thru the mountains but...I smoked some of my GDP that i grew this summer, after taking a few week break from it, and it knocked me on my ass. Serious body numbing high. I slept better than i had in weeks. Good stuff indeed. Its the one on the right...godbud on left pulled early for that uphigh

picture.php

Yes I love GDP for it's "tranquilizer" effect...I always sleep very deep after a night of tokin the GDP.

so pretty much you are using micro and big bloom? is this the first time you use this combination? i have organic big bloom and if you have good results with it, id like to maybe use it the last few weeks of flowering. Maybe i can get more flavor. i have never done a coco run before this one dont know what to expect taste wise using the gh nutes. anyway those plants look good, cant wait till they all start showing some nug. it looks like most of them will have huge top colas, cant wait to see the gdp fillers either. great shit man keep us posted!!

Yea I'm using Micro, Grow, and Big Bloom. I've just always had nothing but good experiences with big bloom (as well as big grow) and at the same time it's nothing but worm castings, bat guano, seabird guano, and a few other things...pure organic. It's also very hard to burn your plants with big bloom. The NPK ratio of BB is 0.01-0.3-0.7...compare that to Humboldt Bloom at
0-6-5...That's a huge difference. Regarding taste...I won't be the only one to tell you that you cannot beat the taste of organically grown cannabis, to that of chemical-synthetically grown cannabis. Plus, I feel you just can't go wrong with organics...they are also very more forgiving then chem fertilizers...at least that's my :2cents: Yea I can't wait to see the buds start to form.

so capo basically its like a general nute profile with the micro/grow like 5-5-5 or something like that and then the big bloom to supply the extra p-k it needs. sounds pretty smart, is this the first time you run this recipe in coco?? if you got proven track record with it i might start it up soon.

Yea sounds like you got it  This is actually the first time I've ever grown in coco, but I've given them three feedings with the big bloom and so far so good.

I'm going to PM you when I get the chance about the clone collective deal.

hey man i really like your grow. It's my first time with coco too(canna coco) and i'm finding ut difficult to understand coco. My plants are about four weeks old and the tips of all the leaves are brown, still looks healthy but there all stunted and shit. Was wondering if I should hold off on nutes or give them more(might be a defficiency). I was only giving them really small amounts. I'm really sorry if this looks like im hijacking your thread but I just want the best for my girls. Thanks a lot

Hey capo, here's a shot of my Mazar-I-Sharifs at day 8 of flower, a little behind yours.

Did you find any phenos that where stretchier than the others? I did:

No worries dude your not hijacking at all. Leaf tip curling is [usually] either over watering, too much nutes, and few other that I'm not 100% on so I don't want to post them if they are not correct. Check out the Cannabis Infirmary.

Look nice dude. Yah I have a super tall pheno (about 4-5 inches away from the light), an average pheno, and a pheno that's short and has a lot of side shoots. Although my tallest one is in a 5'' square container...yours are in keg cups!

I apologize for the lack of updates guys/gals, but i started a new job and my work days are 10+hours 4 days per week so y'all will have to forgive me If I'm not updating all the time. It's not cause I'm just stoned and don't want to move haha :rasta: I'm just tired as shit. I will Pic update tonight though.

ozgrower90, follow the directions on the bottle. You should feed every time you water with coco. How mature are your plants? What nutes are you using? We need this info to diagnose the problem.

Capo dei Capi, looking good man, mine get flipped this week, I'm on the search for a keeper. Did yours show preflower?

The nutes are from a hydro shop which they mix themselves and therefore it doesn't have the NPK number on it, it sucks. Don't have the money for new nutes either but they were actually working fine. The new growth is green but has black tips. Some of the lower fan leaves are a pale yellow and the lowest leave was pale yellow and it shriveled up(that might just be coz it wasn't getting enough light). This plant hasnt grown one bit for about two weeks now and its pissing me off. Its killing me to know if its a defficiency or nute burn...
Thanks a lot guys

Hey thanks BR! How ya doin? Nope mine did not show any pre-flowers. With a little over 4 weeks of veg I was kinda expecting them to pre flower.

yo capo i guess i cant send or recieve pm's yet. you got any idea how many posts i need to enable this?

I think you are in the clear with 60 posts...

Yeah but I water twice a day...

True. I water once per day but lately it seems as if I'm gonna need to step up to twice per day. Thanks for stopping bye.

Props to the grow show! Just started some mazar babies.

Thanks bro! Good luck with the Mazars. May you be luck enough to get the purple pheno.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys/gals how ya doin? It's official...I have a total of six(6) females, and five(5) males. Males are getting the chop tonight, and the females will be getting moved to some 1gal pots for the remainder of flowering. I'm gonna go take some pics so I'll be back shortly.

-peace

EDIT: 2/3 mazars are females. 3/7 afghans are female. And the small "Black" clone is female as well.

Sorry guys/gals...My wireless internet didn't want to work so here are the pics I took last night @ Day 17 of 12/12:

I notice one is a lot taller than the rest. I had one like that, but I through it out cause it started busting out nut sacks everywhere, yet at first I thought I saw some pistols before clusters of balls started appearing. In fact, 4 out of the 5 so far are male :joint:

That's a real bummer :wallbash: I'm going to keep an eye out for any possible ball sacks that may attempt to appear.

nice plants, turns out my plants had a nute defficiency and first I thought it was a nute burn so I wasn't feeding them for like two weeks and just made things worse. Oh well i started out pretty small with nutes, reckon I shouldve given them a lot right away
thanks guys
the day after I put in the nutes they were looking so much better already:woohoo:
