YO HAZY WOOT WOOT! Congrats on starting a nnew thread! My girl is right here whining for me to get the fuck off ICMAG lol. "Just gotta write a little more babe!"

Anyways what up with the cops?!?!? Did you seriously say that the guy they arrested was growing too???? Did you have connections???? I assume you didn't really because I would think you'd wanna lay low or something???? Sounds crazy if there were two growers on the same street and only one got busted, how lucky I guess!

Man by the sounds of the NYCD it makes me want her more than the SD!!! I remember some NYCD once that was seriously amazing, the calyxs were HUGE. Yo I am working with that sr71 PK now too! Got her about 4 weeks into flower, and then 3 more that I put into flower yesterday! So your running a 400 huh??? With 1 gallons, 20-25 plants per the 1 400???? That's awesome! I have less room than you, but I have more wattage, I should be able to stuff my cab full of plants. Alright I gotta go the girlfriend is becoming restless, haha, PEACE BRO!!!

Jack~ Crystal palace- Buck Owen's place?
Cali~ Gotta listen to the girlie. I have a sr71 pk that's getting close. Another week+. Always had a 400 hps, considered getting a second one, and I'd love to, but it makes enough buds for me, and spent all my extra cash on fans and filters.:biglaugh:

Hmmm, some Super Silver Haze nugs.

I took my coco outside today and put it on a screen and took the water hose to it. flushed it real good.

While it was draining I sat down to finish this doob of haze.

I thought this bird spent a little time on this dead tree. HA! He's up there all day. He looks kind of like a Costa's Hummingbird, but not quite. Can't find him in the books yet. He perches(unusual for hbirds) up there all day and looks around, then takes off either to the air or ground. Then comes right back. I think he's looking for bugs. The snag has no leaves to obstruct his view.
Watched a hbird eating a swarm of gnats once. pretty neat stuff.

damn bro, I look at your shots with amazement, how much different the landscape is from here. I do see loads of shots and footage on tv and stuff, but your shots make me stop and look at them

I have never been to a desert, unless you count the Arctic Tundra. I hope to get down there one year for the FBR open.. I will have to come check out your desert bud

The hummingbirds around here( and we have lots) always perch. I was complaining to teh gf that we had lazy hummingbirds, when they got to the feeder they would sit down and drink, I thought we were getting ripped off. lol
I get all the baseball birds around here too, Jays, Cardinals, Orioles, so that is always nice.

O btw, thanks on Che, I think he will do just fine, I am impressed with what I see.

Hey there Hazy, hummers in missouri perch all the time, until another one comes into sight then it is on.Males dominate the feeders all time here, and fight all the time with the males, females, and the weather here.

We have a brother sister pair of green naped lorikeets in the living room, and they are hellions. They are our kids...they have commands for us since they talk...come here, what ya doing?yum yum, pretty bird, preen preen, bath time is especially fun for us,loose birds like running water...shower time for us?He He ,we end up picking up wet very expensive birds off the shower floor and then they come cuddle with us playing with our fingers and eating pudding...then they go to the resort condo for birds and go to sleep in the loft bedrooms we have provided them.Spoiled...yes...cute factor...off the scale...nice pics buddy.

Living the life and loving it cd.

Jack~ A few more shots from the desert below.

This desert can seem pretty barren Dr Dog, and in some places it is, but stuff still grows here. Now the Arctic. That's barren desert.

I guess i just never noticed the hummingbirds stopping, they buzz around so fast. This guy, just sits up there, he must have great eyes.

This morning, I walked outside and a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird flew over right in front of me. I could have reached out and grabbed him. He looked at me for a few seconds and buzzed away. It was cool. I got such a good look at him.

That reminds me of another of my bird stories. A Hummingbird Story.
One day I noticed that a hummingbird had flown into my van, and was banging against the windows. So I went in and caught it ever so gently in my hands and carried it outside. When I opened my hands He fell over on his side, like he fainted or something. I was showing him to my wife, when he stood up and went BZZZZZ and flew away like a big bumble bee.

YeeHa!! Right on chubby, so glad you're back around. Sometimes it's tough to stave off that gloom.
Lost my groove lately, and haven't been able to sing. I sing when i'm alone at my computer, and have a great time doing it, but have been silent for a couple weeks. Got it back last night, and half way through the second song, I felt it droop over me. Shut me right up. Not letting it get me tonight.

Thanks T. Yep, just sitting around on the garden bench, smoking a reefer. Maybe play a little checkers.
I'll get a pic of some of the little furry guys someday.

Hey old soul.
Here's whereI got the filter. Lower price than most, plain brown box, and a business like return addy. None of that "HYDROFARM" in big fucking red lettters like some othrer outfit.
http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/index.php

When are they going to leave, I can't get across town with one of the old fuckers turning left from the right lane, or slowing to a crawl to make that turn into the post office.

they have commands for us since they talk...come here, what ya doing?yum yum, pretty bird, preen preen,

Demanding little birds eh outame.

I've been smoking the shit outta this Super Silver haze. High ceiling, no tolerance build-up yet, good weed.

Great flics man. What is the plant in the very last pic? Did you top that succulent or does it naturally get those holes in the ends? Looks exactly like how you are supposed to top cacti. I need to do that to my san pedro and peruvian torches.

Damn help me make a decision Hazy. I have been thinkin of letting the C99 go......The reason-prone to mold. At least easier than my other plants. I guess I have a lot of humidity at night, and the C99 always molded because she was the FATTEST....Now does it seem like I am tryin to get rid of her cuz I can't get my environment controlled, or am I justified cuz she gets so big that she is first to mold in my room.....?

My bro just ran my green ice, and C99 in a closet, hydro with reservoirs in the same room and the main fan shut off at night, so you know he has high humidity. Well the GI nugs almost grew larger than the C99, and the C99 still molded first and none of the GI did at 48 days flowering.......

Should I get rid of this strain because she molds a tad bit too easy??? The smoke is good, but is it worth it???? Let me know your opinion since your the only other person on IC with the cut pretty much ;) PEACE BRO

I went out with a joint of NYCD this morning. A beautiful Saturday morning it was too. Set a lawn chair in the shade and man I gotta tell ya, this is fine smoke.:joint: It's got a pretty decent cure now, and that seems to make it better than smoking it all before it cures. I don't know what the lineage of diesel is and maybe no one knows, but I love the stuff. Had enough body high to keep me sitting, or maybe I just knew I was too high to walk. Smoked a little over half the doob, and could have stopped at a quarter way and been plenty high. Spent an hour there just watching all my critters, great and small, running around doing critter things.
Got busy today on the cab and I think I've got my ventilation all figured out. Up in the top corner of my veg space is a bathroom type fan. I plugged it in and put a new carbon fiber filter over it.(i had it unplugged while checking out how the 4" Vortex worked.) I used a thin carbon fiber filter from home depot that's for AC filters, cut to fit. it's a bitch getting up there to that sucker.
The vortex is sitting in the veg space right now, (till i hook up the cool tube, then it'll be down below by the light,) it has a 4" carbon fiber filter hooked to it and ducts outside.
The big change is my intake. I put a HEPA filter on my other Vortex and am blowing through a 4" duct into the flower chamber. I used to have a rectangular hole with a fucked up light trap that did not work, with my ballast sitting on top of it. I still have to caulk around the wires and duct, but it'll be completely light proof when I do.

EDIT: this setup below did not work and i went back to a passive intake later. Smell did get out.
And,,,,, more importantly, no smell can get out.

Had the main exhaust fan off for a bit to move the duct out of the way to get to the veg exhaust. The house stunk up a little. My wife was pissed cause she could smell it when she came in the house after work this evening. Had her check again after the changes, and she says there's finally no smell.
No smell out side, and now no smell inside. Hot damn.

I chopped 6 plants today, a PK, 2 GAKs, a SD, a StrawD, and a NYCD.
Big fuck up on the PK though.:spank::bat::bashhead: It wasn't on the chopping block for another 2+ weeks. Accidentally whacked it instead of a GAK. Well, what do you do? Really was hoping to get a little color going.

Chubby~ Let me get you a pic of the whole cactus. What you're seeing in the pic, is the fruit of 5' tall cholla cactus. The holes in the ends are where the blooms fell off.

cali said:

cali~ I agree that the C99 is prone to mold. You talking mold or powdery mildew? I have to watch like a hawk, it'll get white fuzzy shit down at the base of the bud leaves. That and the GAK.
I say, yeah, you're justified getting rid of it if you can't get it to stop the molding. Any thoughts on getting that environment right?
I'm hoping the ventilation changes I made help.
I still need to pull everything out and spray the closet down with bleach and sm90. Shame to get rid of such a nice fat yielder, that's got such a great high.
I wonder if I were to get rid of the cindy and gak, if there would be enough less spores floating around, so that I could actually control it.
I'd rather get rid of the pm.

Heck, you might have a replacement with the sourwreck cindy.

DOn't really listen to much country, but I might give this guy a chance.

Cool ass cactus. Are the fruit edible? Yeah man if the gak gets the powdery from some other plant it will like the gak. Two prone strains might be bad to have in the same cab. The sr71 is very resistant. The gak is just hard to get rid of cause it finishes so fast.

Thanks Core, it was a good chop day, cept for taking the pk early by mistake. My yields are notoriously low, but it looks like a couple ozs, anyway. I'm experimenting with a couple plants in 2 gallon pots. Also one in a small hempy bucket. Hoping to be able to run less plants and have more yield.

Hey FirstTracks, your welcome to tag along. Thanks for the Hag youtube vid. He mentioned Hillary inhaling on Willie's bus. haha. Here's a good song by the hag
Of course, a honky tonk song like this, may not be fully appreciated unless you've had your heart broke, so grab a double shot of bourbon and a joint and enjoy.
'the bottle let me down' on you tube

I'm not a big country fan, but i went through a bit of a country phase a ways back. there's a group of guys loosely referred to as outlaws.
Johnny Cash - check him out doing Hurt by NiN.
Waylon jennings
Wille Nelson
Hank Williams Jr. - he rocks, try 'whiskey bent and hell bound'
and Merle Haggard. Got the connedservative crowd pissed for an anti-iraq-war song recently.
edit: I can't list outlaw country singers without mentioning David Allen Coe. Take a listen to 'She Ran off With A ****** someday if you want a good laugh.

I'll take these guys and maybe some George Jones, but I just can't take much Toby Kieth you-guys-go-kick-them-osama-yo-mama's-ass-songs, and the slick Nashville stuff going on. Trying to appeal to the bigger crowd by being more rock n roll. whatever.

Chubby~ Those fruits might be edible, but don't get red or purple and don't look very tasty, and would be hard to peel the thorns off, because of their funny shape. Here's another shot of this Cholla doing that chain fruit thing.( a real chain-fruit cholla has chains of fruit one or two feet long, big clusters of them. I'll go find one and get a pic someday.)

The good ones for eating are prickly pear types. I'll be having some pics of them as they mature. They're very tasty too. Here's a pic of a Cowboy Red-Whiskers prickly pear. It's one mean mofo. Lots of little stickers. it's just put out the first two flowers of the season. there's lots of them too. i should make some cactus jelly when they're ripe.

I dig what you're saying about hard to get rid of a fast finishing strain. It's nice to have a few quick ones in the room. If i let it go, it'll be after i secure another 45 day girl. Like a Green Ice or Green Crack.

Oh, and just to keep it cannabis related, since this is a grow diary, I planted this SSH clone today. Badass roots. Check out the stem where it looks kinda funny. It got squished under the rim of the cloner lid for a couple days. I put it back in right, and bam! mega roots.

lol on the little clone there, I did the same thing to some clones the other day in my dome, dropped one half of the dome on some of the girls but they alright.

So on the C99 I was talking about MOLD! I forgot you had some pm issues, luckily I haven't had PM even though I am close to the ocean....I'm really getting lucky with not having PM I think. But my fan stays on at night now a days, so I am really hoping the last C99 I grew was just already molding before I switched my fans schedule to always on. But I hate the thought of gettin rid of C99 too! I am smoking her right now and she is seriously dank, love the after taste and the smell is great. Huge nugs too, so I hate to think that it is my environment giving me the ok to toss her!!! Hmm I'll have to think about it, she is so dense too!

The sourwreck cindy actually has a wonderful pineapple smell, more so than the C99 clone we got. I honestly don't smell much pineapple in the C99 anymore.....I just had a friend arrive, but I wanna talk more about the NYCD! PEACE BRO

caligreen~Sounds like the SWC may be a good replacement for the c99 if it's more mold resistant. Better smell. must get that from the diesel. the smell being stronger i mean.
My pm issues aren't as bad now with my increased ventilation. I changed the fan setup yet again.
I would think the smell was gone, then later started noticing it in the house. I think blowing in built up pressure and forced the smell into the house. Anyway.
Now i have one vortex in the veg pulling through a filter and ducted out the ceiling. The other vortex is in the flower space and will someday blow through a cooltube, if i ever hook it up. it pulls through a filter and also is ducted out the ceiling.
