Dry Mouth - that is some fine looking hydro... With all the extra coloring I thought she was going to be soil grown. My Hindu never got that colored but maybe this time I will try a longer flush.

BirdBrain - This is another fine specimen of the PK. You did the strain justice. Lookin good.

thebandit777 - Rideon for the nice comments... yeah it was hard trimming these babies what with all these colors! Oh yeah, I forgot I had an extra 400W CMH on top of my 2 1000's I all ready had in the room... which by the way I think frosted them up harder!

GET MO - What it do... Low temps + low N feeding = pix's you see above! I think the color would've hit deeper if I had let her go longer, but the dam pm was getting to far spread on the canopy! I didn't want to treat them, what with them being all most done an all... lovin them Dc x goo pix's you posted... Now them shits looked it sick! I'm copin a few of them ladys for my next grow 32 of them on a 4x8 what...

kno3brock - Hey, rideon for the comments:joint:

have you been there first thing in the mornig to see a load of clones and mothers in two diffrent size pots and giant rockwool and huge clones compaird to the competetors? they cost more but the fan leafs are huge on most of the babies .

Alot of people DEPEND on this place to supply there every crop and most of the time with a lot of luck and a little experience you can MOST the time find sumthing pretty good, it may not be what you came for but with any club its hit and miss. the diffrence being most of the other places use vendors so the supply is almost day to day changing one day you may get a OG KUSH clone form HSIde and the next day go back and buy a diffrent PHENO of OGKUSH that hside got form a DIFFRENT vendor but still just labled and sold as og KUSH,......

bluesky sells diffents pheno all the time , they test strains from seed and end up with diffrent moms and clones of the same strain. We got candy shiva all phenos a b and c but at least labled that way they all were diffrent and suck all the same, the bubblegum was not all the same in a cube of six we got to phenos on that grew fat buds tight smelly bomb , one grew like a hedge then hermy all the way.

oddyssey had two phenos , a big fat buded plant with a slight oddyssey smell then a very small flowering stink bomb that had very yellowing fan leaves and turns purple on the inside of the flowers ten times better than the oddyssey that was last sold there.
same with the POT of GOLD, we got small mothers there that were tagged like this....
Pot of Gold/female sex simbol,#7...........and on the stalk we found bugs munchin so we tossed her outdoor sumwere i forgett wasnt worth an infestation

Hey Drymouth - If you have PM problems in your grow room let me tell you a little secret. (maybe not so secret) Buy a sulfur burner, it will eradicate all PM issues. I use mine the first week I get my clones, then when I flip into flower, then about the third week of flower. PM takes time to get a foot hold in your garden and if you burn sulfur as a preventative measure, you will not have any problems in the future. Plus, it leaves no taste on your flowers, unlike the sulfur sprays that have ruined crops. I live in the Bay Area, California and I used to get PM every single crop whether it be summer or winter. Since I got my burner about 2 years ago I have not had any visible PM on any of my crops. (knock on wood) I would recommend this to anybody that has PM issues. Hope this helps, Peace out.

TheBluntedOne - I can think of about 20 clubs that are way worse than Blue Sky. Where do you shop and please don't say Purple Heart. Purple Heart doesn't even deserve to be the toilet paper I wipe my ass with. Peace everybody.

the purple urkle, ogk, and gdp strains Ive gotten from purple heart have all been legit, purple urkle from there is the best purple as far as taste and smell and high.

i have gotton Grape Ape from there and it was legit also, they just not consisant on having them all the time like Bluesky, but seem to always have Purlpe Urkle seem to be there house strain.

Ah, don't you hate it when you have a huge post typed but then accidentally press the back key?

I have some Blue Sky Hindu Skunk, Bubblegum, White Widow, Querkle, and Purple Kush finishing up in a little bit. Before I'm allowed to post pics, I just wanted to chime in with a few of my thoughts on my experience raising them from clones. In general, the BS clones were barely rooted and some had cal/mag issues straight from the coffeeshop. But they were true to genes and once rooted, were very resilient to my noobish mistakes-- pH too low (5.2 in coco = lock outs), underfeeding, not enough ventilation. Once these problems on my end were fixed, the cuts responded very well to proper care and feeding. Underventilation during the rainy season led to PM in BG, HS, and Querkle, which was treated with a very very dilluted neem oil solution.

Baseline: HS & BG vegged 4 weeks, Widow vegged 2 week, PKs and Querkle vegged 1 week under 400 w hps and 175 wt of CFLs, in US-made enclosure. All are done in 1 ga. square plastic containers, except for a few that I threw in 3 ga.

Hindu Skunk: Extremely bushy, comparable what I imagine the AK was like. Pruning is necessary in medium to tight quarters to avoid PM issues and to improve air flow. Keeping my lighting in mind, they are very heavy yielders and appear to be on track for 3/4 to 1 z per cut in 1 ga pots. Not bad! I had to tie several up as they stretch a lot and can get very top-heavy from the dominant cola. My advice is to tie them up early if you're not doing a SOG. Probably the least keefy of the bunch, but they have a nice spicy skunk smell.

Bubblegum: This one was a surprise, I didn't even know I got this strain from BS. BS threw a couple extra cuts in the first purchase I made because they looked a little iffy. Looks like I got a BG in there! This plant was nowhere near as resilient as the HS or Widow vs. pH and was much more sensitive to over-feeding. Although the single cut that survived my culling did turn out extremely resinous, chunky buds with a skunky bubblegum flavor, I never really feel like I figured this strain out right. Moderate PM issues but nothing like the HS. I'm probably just a n00b; this could be a very easy strain. It still turned out bomb!

Purple Kush: Everything that needs to be said about this dank medicine has already been said. At 63 days, deep black leaves and dark purple buds covered with a white coating of trichs. People mentioned that the PK can be a finicky feeder but I found that not to be the case; she seemed to take nutes very well. This is probably my favorite strain out of all of them, mostly due to the color and smell. As many have said, she is a moderate yielder if you veg her out-- but I didn't. Nevertheless, regardless of your lighting situation or container size, she will give you a satisfactory harvest of even-sized, dense nugs.

Querkle: PUrkle x (c99xrom) Surprisingly, few people have said much good about this strain, but I don't understand why. The Querkle is easily as keefy as the PK, and the trichs seem to be longer, bigger, and fluffier in the Querkle vs. the PK. It has a purple/berry smell, the latter likely from the c99/rom spectrum of the cross. I did find it to have a moderate PM issue, but that is more due to my noobish poor ventilation and the rainy season.

I have seen a lot of variation in this strain from the few people who posted about it in this thread. There seem to be 2 (or more!) phenotypes: a main-cola dominant, Purple Urkle-looking phenotype that doesn't turn purple and may be hermaphroditic, and a bushy, even-sized purple phenotype that has lots of stringier, Romulan/C99 looking small nugs. I have the latter- the medium-small nugs are very dense and chunky like some good Rom. My Querkle's leaves are practically black, and the buds are beginning to turn a little purple; however the buds are mainly green. Despite the instability, this strain clearly appears to be worthwhile to the novice grower.

White Widow: Again, I'm mystified why I don't hear that much about this strain. Perhaps it's because some say it just doesn't smoke that great; but I don't see how that could be the case. The Widow buds are by far the keefiest and perhaps as good yielding as the HS; these plants are 2.5 ft tall monster main cola buds with good side branching. But the trichs are where its at-- I have a hard time finding words expressing how white these turned out. They have a lemon-lime skunk smell and are so resinous that if you accidentally touch a fan or sugar leaf coated with trichs, your finger will stick to anything! These cuts are "bulletproof," are immune to PM, handle low light situations and pH fluctuations, and are very high yielding. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to novice growers.

Sorry for the essay. Toke on!

I saw the Casey Jones at Harborside last week. I haven't heard about Blue Sky having Casey Jones.

Very nice post, drboy. That level of detail is exactly what we need here. Thank you.

Blue Sky is what it is. I don't see the point in criticizing Blue Sky because they are exactly what they say they are, and they sell what everyone knows they sell.

Their smoke-ables are mids at best. Their clones offer you plenty of generic Dutch blah genes, plus one high-quality strain in the Purple Kush. It's located in a scruffy neighborhood where you don't want to be between 9 at night and 8 in the morning, but to get any quantity of the desired clones you have to get there at 6. Of course that's just when you do not want to be in that particular neighborhood.

I really don't see the point in even considering Blue Sky when a clean and safe place like Harborside has DJ Short clones and BOG clones and a ton of other great cuts. And you can get your clones at noon or whenever you want, because Harborside doesn't have Blue Sky's idiotic marketing setup. Get here at 6 or we can't guarentee you clones? That's just stupid.
