Calling the Big Boys Out Of Hiding!! - Trimmer Machine

allthesethings, I have this second machine you're looking for...hoo-ah!

Seriously though, that Centurion looks bad-ass.

I'm amazed theres an industry this diverse, dedicated to trimming. I've seen a couple trimmers in magazines, but this thread is tantamount to understanding how big this growing business is; That enough people require them that several companies manufacture models almost tailor made for cola processing. Crazy!

What else could i use my huge-ass trimmer for? Hypothetically speaking, I don't actually own one I still use my "ye olde timey god-fearing" scissors.

we have trimmer machines here. they go for around 15 grand. we were able to do around 40 one pound plants in two days.they strip the trichs pretty good. the half pounds have an average of 2 ounces of shake in the bottom.

I dont even have one yet, and can already call bullshit on that...Sorry..

Theres no fuckin way that the machines knock off 2 Oz's of tric's per half Lb trimmed...

The barell trimmers are no worse than the table trimmers on bud abuse, and my friend my trimpro does not strip the tricombs bad at all.

not trichs man....shake in the bottom of the half pounds....lol
dont be so hasty on the bullshit ....

What?.....Shake on the bottom of what? The machine sucks all the shake into thelarge filter bag?...Nothing but trimmed nuggets come out:confused:..
If yer bagged up halfers are shaky,,thats not the machines fault...The bud is too dry...

Oh dear, I feel weve had a little misunderstanding here..

you use a different machine is suppose. with ours, the buds are all a bit shaky after processing. we process the buds right off the plant so its not dry weed. the buds are just not as clean...not like hand trimmed weed. we dry them on screens. i call the machine the trichrome harvester because the plants are literally brushed through the machine. the bagged leavings do make superior hash. i just wasnt impressed with the quality of the finished product using the machine, but it does allow a couple of guys the ability to process a 96 plant garden in a few days.

Sorry, don't want to wade through 9 pages replies, so I'll just skip to the point and tell you of the one I know, sorry if it's a repost.
I think the rollingthunder is an overkill. I've used one similar to that which NuggyBuds posted. They're cheap, portable and works very well. The basic design is a table with fan blade enclosed and a grill on top, large enough for the leaves to pass through but not the bud. You just slide your buds back and forth on the grill it won't even touch the grill, the leaves is pass into a bag underneath and you can use it to make hash. You can get the machine for under $1000 and it's very portable, fits in a bag.

Interested in what you come up with this year on trimmers. Outdoor harvest is stressful enough without worrying about sketchy trim partners (not for me). I did 10 elbows last year and a very shitty job at that and I was seriously stressed out.

So if I had the weight I would consider a trimmer because the end product cannot be a shitty as one paranoid outdoor grower knocking of 10 elbows by himself. I mean your not curing it for 2 months in a glass jar or anything that’s not the purpose here.

I love my trimpro! I am by no means a "big timer"... but that doesn't mean I don't value my time. The Trimpro saves me so much time. I am completing my harvests in 25% of the time it used to take me. And no trim crew drama - exactly allthesethings.

I crack up when I see/hear "you'r stripping your bud of resin & trichs" using those machines.... BECAUSE YOU CAN FUCK UP YOUR BUDS USING SCISSORS TOO!!! :bashhead:

I'll pull off all the fan leaves, run the buds over the grate, then follow up with the fiskars to give the buds a finished touch before hanging.

Hello again Fast_Pine,

Yes, i do have a few days experience with the automatix. I feel it still has some design flaws to be worked out. In addition to what i've mentioned above, the buds bounce around really hard in there. It almost gives the "ruins the buds" crowd a leg to stand on. When they land on the grill stem side down, a 1 gram bud gets further bucked down, so it becomes a 3/4 gram bud with a stem hanging down to be ripped to shreds, & a 1/4 gram bud. The machine eats up a shitload of these smaller buds, they fall through the grill only to be reclaimed by hash. While your waiting for that one bud to get finished in there, everything else gets smaller & smaller as well. I just can't recommend this machine.

The black grill is standard on the regular trimpro & the automatix. The stainless grill is standard on the trimpro workstation. The difference is night & day. The stainless grill is about 1/4(?) the thickness of the old black ones & provide for a much tighter trim. No further touching up is required. In addition the gaps are closer together giving one the confidence to do the smaller more tedious work without loosing a finger.

The technique used will make all of the difference when doing smaller buds on the workstation. I work with about 10 inches of branch for grillwork, then buck it all down (take it off the stick) @ the end of each day. Bucking it all down first & rolling them around with your hands is not where its at in my opinion.

I noticed on the trimpro website they have a few different options on grlls including some that have mutiple grill widths. Is there an advantage to getting a combo grill? Do the larger gaps work better with fan leaves?

Aloha everybody! I finished my dry and the 600g is all gone. Bye bye

So how does the bud look after getting cut by the Trimbox?
Here's buds after getting harvested.

Here's buds after they've been dried

Here's the buds finished

Some of you may think its a little jagged - that's fine. I like my buds with this cut fine and dandy. The only complaints I get are "what do you mean its all gone?" :muahaha:

Hope this helps...
Good luck and happy harvesting everybody.

Just wondering if someone had these machines for rent, would you rent or not due to security issues? And if you would rent what would be a fair price? I run a rental business of other items and just based on the cost I'd say the 20k trimmers would be in the 500 a day range. especially since most of the year it would not be used. I think the security issues could be overcome but would 500 a day be reasonable?

This would probably only work in Cali where it is allowed to some extent.

purchasing is much easier than renting. Renting = a return trip, ID, deposit etc. Not something someone needing a trimmer wants to do.

But $500/day sounds fair. I personally would not rent one though for the security issues. If I had a " safe friend" like a "safe address" tthen maybe I would let them do it.

I dont work for the company. I just want as many people to use trimming machines as possible. We have a serious problem here with bad people coming into the communities to trim weed and now we are having home invasion robberies and lots of bad criminals in the area. I have seen how these machines can make peoples lives safer and growers should use them. The video does not lie. I dont care what machine you use I just want to clean up my community and make my neighborhood safe for my kids and nighbors.
