well the buds are streching a little so i think its because of heat dont reall know how to fix because room temps are 70-78 so i dont know light is only 2 and a half foot away from buds so maybe i need some kind of cool tube for my 1000 watter any suggestions or ideas?

Some sort of ventilation would be a great idea; either a cool tube or an air cooled hood and inline fan. I remember when I just let my 1kw run and the room got up to 90 degrees even with the central air running. Got it down to the 80's with the addition of window a/c on TOP iof the central air but all problems stopped completely when we bought a cool tube and ducting and vented everything in and out from a window.

Hey loco,
I try to keep my 1kw around 18" from the canopy...
I have an air cooled reflector...

I agree with Weedhound,
You'd do better with ventilation / exhaust.
In the meantime, keep that light raised.

Stretchy buds smoke a HELL of alot better than burnt buds...:joint:

also i am gonna try and change my room around a lot tonight, for better lighting and accessability. Also am switching to different res for all my ladies in flower i think this is best for lots of reasons. i have an air cooled hood in my veg that i dont even need but i dont know if my thousand watter will fit this hood. are they pretty universal? they look a bunch different but i will figure out hopefully. other hood is bigger and will be closer but the air cooloed should prevent any probs.
wish me luck lol

good luck loco81... i got my fingers crossed for you. air cooled hoods are always good. That allows you to get the light closer. I picked up a hydro farm 6 inch blower for right around 140 dollars.

We are runnin' a air cooled 1000w HPS on a light mover, vented in and out and some of the plants have been less than a foot away from the light w/ no ill effects...I'd get a inline duct fan, some flexible duct & try the air cooled hood from your veg room... Good Luck with that...

That is a real nice plant on the left in the first photo. Is that curling in your last photos a problem you have resolved?

Damn dude, I wont lie, those look like BEASTS! That seriously made me reconsider ScrOG in favor of a longer veg and sheer girth as a possibility. How long of a veg did you give them?

i am flushing that plant so their isnt any nutes to burn !! but those were there before. i had some problems in begining of grow and a little at end but all is corrected for future plants.
hopefully

i need a cheap filter system any ideas?

MR clean auto dry is what was recommended to me by other IC users. It seems to do the job well and can disassembled and reassembled using the internal parts to fit a multitude of possible installations. Keep up the good work!

bozo thanks for the help yea i finally got it figured out i think. i dont think you owuld quite consider mine dwc because i flood and drain but in buckets. it overflows from buckets back into res while on but thats only time it recircs. so i dont know exactly what to call it but there it is!!

Think there still colnsidered recirc buckets, that flood.

Are you still elevating res temps to over 75?
Are you still injecting CO2 into the res?????

I love your contrarianism but I might encourage new growers to search this site on those two subjects before making a decision; seems to be alot of contraindication out there on those two ! :2cents:

Some of theses plants look like they have a ph lock going. Injecting CO2 into the water should lower ph (as well as DO redox and other things that can harm plant development.) If they lock transpiration will diminish and the plant can no longer uptake water; essentially the die of thirst. Im not really familiar w/ these strains however, it can have a lot to do with it.

unless I missed it, I haven't really noticed any readings about how hot your running nutes or any issues related to CO2. From my undthat understanding, cannabis plants do not benefit from CO2 and root level; gas exchange for krebs occurs via stoma in the plant foliage specifically the leaves. There could be some benefit to the plant receiving CO2, but it would seem that the harm it can do in a res in this manner would offset any gain. It's been awhile since researching CO2 but this is what I seem to recall (i have been wrong before hehe).

Oh yeah one more thing...
using a central rez to recirc buckets w/ sat doms and ind doms can create a real pain the ass especially in late flower.

no for now i have stopped with the co2 because of a couple things but i couldnt find def answer on if it was good for them so i decided to withdraw till i have a couple more grows under my belt. and res temps are around 68

nutes during flower about 800 to 1500 towards end. all botanicare prodeucts pbp
