What's new

Luv2Blaze and my new NGB cabinet

I saw in the begginnings of this thread you were considering selling these. I have to say it certainly is a good quality product, about the "tightest" cab I've seen besides other retail cabs such as "the fridge" etc.

Anyway, I notice you have built a DWC scrog module for it and couldnt help thinking that this on a timer would make the perfect medicine cabinet for those without the ability or knowledge to build something like this themselves.

Excellent work mate, I hope you get a chance to bring this to market, I think many people would benefit from such a purchase.

Wow thanks JamieShoes!

We build custom kitchens, bath vanities, radiator enclosures ecs.. for the projects we do (interior renovation & custom woodworking) so I figured why not try to get into the gardening cabinet business as there's a lack of good quality without heat issues cabinets out there at least ones that don't stick out like a sore thumb:2cents:

Nice work man, my dad is a custom cabinetmaker of 40+ years, I've had him working on a cab for me as well, out of cherry to match my TV stand for stealth. Looks like you've got everything sorted!!

Waiting for the smaller Super Sun reflector, but enjoy the pics!! had to make the screen about 1/4" smaller on each side. Also it's the same key for all doors.
I love it....

Damn! See, that's what ours was supposed to resemble! Great job.

Wow nice cab Blaze!!! What kind of hinges are those? I am going to make my doors flush like yours and was not sure what kind of hinges would work. I will be using tot loks with with no handles also.

Thanks brotha,

The hinges are made by Salice or Blum and they are 165 degree open swing instead of 90. Here's a link http://www.thehardwarehut.com/catalog-product.php?p_ref=190449 there's a 120 degree as well http://www.cabinetparts.com/shop_2008/item_details/?id=BH71T5680

So does this type of hinge need any routing of the wood on the end that attaches to the inside wall of the cab? Or is it just a few screws and you're done? I'd love to have hinges like these, but the ones I looked at seemed like they needed to be inset in the wood to work correctly.

K.J.,

Absolutely one side needs to be inserted a machine drills out the holes on the inside of the doors for a perfect fit. The other side of the hinge screws into the cabinet. Here's a better look at what I mean.

I put nice stainless steel and white rubber feet on instead of casters.

Well, maybe on our next cab then. I don't have a router right now (nor the skills probably to use one effectively). Man, I wish I had seen this before we started...you might just have had your first customer!
