Strains with that Electric High

I have heard of a high that certain old school sativa strains offer that is described as electric. Can anyone describe this type of high? And what strains would you say has this effect?

Electric effects can range from low voltage- pleasant waves of stimulation coursing through your body- to high amperage whitelighnin' sizzling you right out of your skin...

Check Ace Congo, Banji. DJ Short Flo and F-13 also- more pleasant buzz...

Just look for a mostly sativa that's had good reports for this type of high,strains like Kali Mist,SSH,jack herrer are some of the better indoor sativa vars.Pure sativas especially original haze and landrace sativas can be a right bastard to grow,even on a flowering cycle from the start they can take a plant 3-4 months before it pre-flowers and shows its sex then it can take another 5-6 months for it to be ready for harvest.
If you do get some pure sativas veg them until you know there sex then take as many clones as you need from the females and as soon as they root flower them and they'll flower alot faster and be ready quicker .

old school strains: Kona Gold, Kauai Electric,Durban Poison and Purple Haze are all good
My favorite was Santa Marta Gold in the 70's the price was $400 - $600 a pound very up eurporohic and energetic body high,unlike any stain available today.

In the late 70's the U.S. paid Columbia, and Mexico to Spray Paraquat dangerous herbicide. Effectively leading to lung damage to those that smoked "paraquat weed" worse yet the extinction of SMG .

The more common ones have already been mentioned (Super Silver Haze, Jack Herer and Kali Mist)

Some further recommendations to the list that you may want to look at are Zamal found in the Gyspy Nirvana Collection (renowned as exceptionally intense), Mr Nice's Neville's Haze if you can get a hold of it, Oldtimer's Haze by Ace Seeds, Mr Nice's Neville's Haze x Mango and Amnesia Haze by Soma.

Kariba Surprise from African Seeds (was supposed to taste pretty rank) was also renowned for having an exceptionally intense electric high but I'm not sure if it's available anywhere since they closed down some years ago.

The last time I smoked a strain with an electric high, my foot ended up in my hand and I don't even know how it happened. Had to let someone else drive, HA...

I would like to happen on one again though but you guys are just dropping too many names for me. Probably can't go wrong with the Mist/Winds or SSH though huh?

kalimist is alright, i would look at some spanish breeders ace, cannabiogen or delicatesse sedds- they have some pure mexicana and it can be pretty electric,
but alot depends on set and setting

the best for electric high is some thai landrace

At one time I was lying in bed and I felt my whole body being energy and waves going through it. I saw auras and colours around objects and had psychedelic sensations when I closed my eyes.
These effects are holy grail-type to me. You might want to choose a pure (landrace?) sativa instead of a hybrid IMO. Growing it outdoors may help as well.

I have been around long enough to have witnessed the huge change...like a switch being thrown...from the Sativic plants of Mexico and South America (and Asia) to the Indica plants. Huge difference in highs.

It was, I'm sure, a business decision Crank up the production, turn the plants around quicker, get it out on the street faster make more money. Consequently, a whole generation or two grew up thinking that the cannabis high was narcotic. Hence, the best cannabis would be the one that produced couch lock.

Nothing against couch lock...nor narcotic pain relief. It's just great to see people who realize that there is a whole 'nother type of high out there. It will be wonderful to see greater diversisty in breeding and gene stock. Hotcha! Myself? Give me the Sat dom or closest I can get to pure sativa everytime.

I just ordered Destroyer by Canna BioGen cuz I'm looking for that Thai high. It was 1976 the last time I had any really exceptional Thai and I'll never forget it. It was more like smoking some kind of chemical. A buddy who was in the Merchant Marines brought it back from Thailand. They were little skinny green sticks. Best Thai I ever smoked. Ive been smoking Original Haze x SK#1. I let it go 104 days accidentally and it is a very strong yet motivational strain when you let the majority of trichs go to amber. I just smoked some that I only flowered for 90 days and it is alot cleaner high. Also though, the 104 day stuff was cured for 3 mo and the 90 day stuff just dried with only a 10 day cure. It'll go back in the closet for a couple of months and hopfully it'll be alittle more slam bang as well as electric. Point being, that alot of it, depending on which strain and which pheno found within, depends on just when you harvest and how long you cure it and. I know its a well known fact, but lots of folks are so anxious after waiting 85 to 112 days that they just harvest it and forget about all the really important stuff. Dont just go by the harvest date and you'll be able to better dial in your high. Grow 2 or 3 of them from cuts, side by side and harvest them at differant times. Then you'll know which works best for you. hope this helps. Grunt
