any cellar dwellers up north! my night temps are 55f, using the laser on the nugs. plants are healthy, but slow. I have some propogation mats, large ones (dont want the roots too warm though). or an electric space heater/fan (not my favorite option, more electric)

should i "T" into my furnace, and vent into basement? sounds like it may get stinky.

my lights on temps are so nice, wish i had those all summer

How big of a space you talkin anyway?

haha...i dont think the daylight will warm the basement... i have the same issue and just use the small electric area heater when lights out. the fans and exhaust are on the same timer as the lights, so the small room is easily kept in the mid 60's with the little 750w heater fan, and it only cycles on every 10 minutes for a minute or less... just keep the humidity down so the cooler temps dont cause mold:2cents:

i have a full basement w 2 partitoned areas. 4x8x7 and 6x8x7. i wanted to warm the basement and let the warm air go through my passives. rather than heat the confined space which i thought, since its small, the temp swings might get a little drastic. my veg i can run 24 to keep within reason. yes my night is day, and day is night, always been that way.

my freshly heated air will then be sucked right out the old stink pipe

night time temps @55, no proplem, if they go below 45 maybe use some heat. the lower night temps will bring out purples in some strains

How big an area man ?
I ran a heat run / duct from the furnace to my room because it cost so damn much to run an electric heater . But I was tryin to heat a 10 x 12 x 7 ft. room .

Don't vent your furnace exhaust into your basement; a very bad concept for all sorts of reasons. But you could run a duct from your furnace into your room. Or you could run a duct that is going to another room through your grow room and let the heat coming off the duct pipe provide some warmth. You could move your grow close to your furnace or hot water heater and capture some of the heat in those areas. Maybe use a thermometer to scout already existing areas before moving anything. The downside to all of this is if you warm it up at night you'll also be warming it up during the day and it might be hard to hold your lights on temps down. I heat with wood and have a very warm basement to where I must pipe in cold air to keep grow room temps down. I also try to time my flower lights to be on and heating when I'm making less furnace heat.

electric space heater. I run one on the lowest settings 24 hr/day, only when the weather gets real cold. I found one kicking around grandma's basement (free)

bought a 6" heat duct, damper

bought a 6" heat duct, damper

i will start using furnace heat this weekend. (not furnace exhaust) 55f at night isnt harming them, and purple all over the place. its just slow.

the duct is combined heat/AC. so this summer, i may use it for cooling if necc.

Sounds stinky. How you gonna control warm stinky air you pump into the room? You are going to lose negative pressure from the sounds of it
Can you draw warm air from house while lights are off and pump it back into living area through carbon filter? I use a small space heater much easyer than a new venting system just for night time

i will warm the basement, not my enclosed grow spaces. the pre-warmed air will then draw thruogh my passive intakes, get filtered...

i am a little concerned about the odor still, i think it should work. in the summer i dont have odor leaks in my house, so thats a good sign

Sounds good. If your basement is insulated you won't lose any heat, it will eventually gravity up through the house. Be sure to have some sort of damper on the duct or final grate so you can regulate your airflow.
Your warm air isn't going to cause odor. If you're talking about weed smell, that's something you should address sooner rather than later. You never know when some basement appliance is going to crap out and need a repairman.
