A little growhouse in the arctic v2.0

so... i like this spot, i think ill make it my new home. ever since icmag 2.0 ive been feeling i should mark that occation somehow. i have made some updates to my room, cba explaining all about it, check out my other thread, "a hydro room is born" .. in the signature !

so in trend with icmag 2.0, i present to you ... the arctic house v2.0 :woohoo:


in short this room we will be following mostly in this thread is a 1600w room with 2 resirculating hydro systems in it. plus DWC bubblebuckets, and some soil plants. they pop in and out of teh room all the time. i run 2x600w hps and 1x400w hpi.

strains in the room atm that i intend to show pics of is:

AK48, 2 different phenos, nirvana seed co.
Love Potion #1, G13 pheno, reeferman seed co.
skywalker, blueberry pheno, dutch passion seed co.
Dutch Mans Trap, a local elite indica clone, see the hydro room is born thread.
strawberry smile, dutch quality seeds (uk)
Monster, eva's seeds (uk)



all the plants are of varying sizes but they are all in veg stage as of now. some are friggin huge like the ak48's, but the eva's monsters are very small, ironically

hell yeah, im first to check in!

everything looks good. i agree the new version of icmag is growing on me too... obviously theres still a lot of tweeking to do but it sure is faster and maybe even more handy when you get to know everything...

i myself am still struggling to find a place that i could grow again! damn this can be frustrating! it's not like i'm running out of weed, went through my stash yesterday and it'll still last like 4 months with my current needs :D BUT DAMN, i wanna get growing again, feel so useless if not...

anyways, great to have you back man!

hey man, nice grow, I grew 1pheno of Ak48 last year and It was very good weed but the pheno was a little fluffy, 1 of the best yielder ive found, excluding the white russian im growing right now. I would love to try that love potion :)

hey there guys, unfortiunately no pictures for you all today.

thanks all for showing up, i just wanted to say that i have officially switched the room to 12/12 as of today.

ill count 01.02.09 as start of flowering.

they are thirsty as fuck, drinking about 1-2 liters of water pr plant pr day, EC atm is 1,1. im using canna AQUA VEGA 2-part veg nutes for the veg stage up until now.

i could use some bud blood or some early flowering additives for the first 2 weeks of flowering. but ill make do with sensi one powder nutes from advanced nutrients. its quite an easy product to work with, i tend to like the powder nute products because it leaves for less of a mess.

im quite pleased with sensi one from AN. but also the canna products seems to work for me, i dont like the PK13/14 which i think has somewhat if a strange combination of nute percentages.



on a sidenote i could mention that the water here is very soft, meaning it contains much less magnesium and salts. its very clean water in other words. producers such as GHE seems to have adjusted their products to city water or hard water conditions, so it seems GHE products has less magnesium in it then AN products. AN is canadian, i guess they have softer water there.

ill reccomend GHE if you live in a big city and have hard water, and AN if you have soft water.

anyone agree/disagree? this is just my personal oppinion, i cant back it up with anything except for subjective experiences.


ill be back with some pics n stuff, dont want to fill the albums with stuff that is already in my old gallery.

dont know if i said this already, i went out on a boat in the barents sea the day before the sun returned to us here, there were some amazing colors in the sky. i took like 800 pics. ill upload.

was thinking id make more of a detailed description of my plants aswell, with pics n stuff. all in good time tho.


anyway, thanks again for showing up all, well met. more interresting stuff inc now that i have switched the lights :D

first picture is the sea eagle that lives in the mountains behind my house. the picture is taken from my front door, you can see the roof, they are quite commonly hovering right over my house on the updraft there. sometimes they come diving down infront of my windows, quite spectacular.



rest of the pictures are from a trip we made to the outer islands, some are of the fjords, just random pictures from a boat trip we made. we went out to the outer islands to salvage some materials that had been lost by a cargo boat during a storm early in january.



not a bad days worth, if you see that there is very little snow on some pictures it is because the wind is relentless out there on the outer islands, it blows it all away. the coast is ice-free because of the gulf stream.


also it is worth mentioning these pictures are taken 3 days before the return of the sun. for those that dont know, because of the tilt in the earths axis, we have no sun at all for 2 full months in the winter. and opposite in the summer, then the sun stays up all day and nite 24/7 for 2 full months. so these pictures are from the so-called dark season, when we have 5-6 hours of daylight but no sun at all.​
