BurnOne quick question. I allready have espnma organic traditions all natural neutralizer Garden lime. "safer than hydrated lime" that I bought about a year ago. I was going to go get powder but then I put it in a coffee bean grinder and it turned it into powder. Can I use it, or do you recomend that I still get the powder instead?

A coffee grinder will work but a 5 dollar el cheapo blender works better. I have done it with countless items that come pelleted and I want powder.

It will work perfectly. And the Espoma lime is very good.

BurnOne nothing is easy to find here. They powder lime they had was hydrated. Then when I was looking I found crushed lime, but no powder. Is crushed what I am looking for? If not I am just going to travel on monday I know a place about an hour away will have it for sure. Thanks again

My wife just returned from the town she works in and they had this at a farmers market. Is this what I need?

crushed lime is more likely going to be "powdered" ... as for the hi-yeild stuff, im not sure.. does it say it contains dolimitic(or dolomite) lime on the back?

BurnOne finally got it, I know for sure because it says it on the bag. I ended getting a 50lb bag. All they had. I allready got all of my newts and my 6gal bucket bubbler set up. I am going to germ some cheese and strawberry diesel tonight, and taking cutting of some things I allready have going. I will start a new thread when the seeds sprout. Thanks again for your help.

You'll just have to learn your strain and learn how to "read" your plants. You're on the right path.
Thank you for reading.

You can do that. However, I have no idea how much. You'll have to try for yourself.
A great place to start is by using the directions on the product label.

hey burn1, I have some BS molasses and a product called Silica Blast laying around.. If I were to use the Neptune's Harvest fish along w/ LC's mix would you recommend using either? I'm thinking the BSM every other watering + whatever fish fert is needed at the time.. But I'm not really sure about the Silica Blast b/c I don't think it's organic.

random question.. I've been reading a lot in this forum recently and it seems that seaweed and black strap molasses basically serve the same purpose - to get the microherd working. Is this right? It seems like there is no point in using both besides for the extra P, Ca + whatever else is in the BSM.

The 2nd questions aren't really that important, I'm just trying to understand how organics work better. also thx to everyone who has helped burn1 answer questions in this thread.. I learned a lot from it.

You don't need silica blast. Seaweed is for potassium and micro/macro nutes. Molasses is for carbohydrates. Organic growing doesn't work "better". It's simply another way to grow.
