Low RH problems

Low RH problems

Good to hear your road troubles didn't turn serious, shitake. I hate that shit.

Wanted to ask a favor of my DSW low rh expert friends. the 19% RH seems to be affecting my plants, especially since getting under the HID.

Gotta thread in the infirmary for details...

When I get my cab built I'm sure my temps come down but I wonder if the extra air movement will desiccate them even more, lol.

Thanks for any advice you have...

its never hurt mine bro.been in the desert all my life and never had a problem with low humidity, looks to me like a little to much nitrig. or a small cal mag def. what soil are you using? and did you feed them. I usally don't feed them anything for 1 to 2 weeks.

Hey, Joesy. Yeah, I haven't fed 'em anything. They started in Desert Winds Nursery seed starter soil in jiffy pots then into 4-inch pots with the nursery's organic soil mix. No additives, just PH'd water when pots get light, about every other day.

maybe when i finally get my cab finished and the temps are down a little it will be better...

well Im probably totaly wrong then about the high nitrig, unless you soil is that strong and I doubt that it is, try feeding it lightly , its probably needing some nitrig.

Hey de Toke- Man, gotta say the low RH hasn't really been a big issue for me. I keep my seedlings in a dome til they get their first set of leaves. But your plant looks like pH or cal/mag problem to me, but I only have limited experience with diagnostics. Keep us all posted and good luck with her, bro.

AZ! Good to see ya poppin in man. So heri is the next strain I gotta chase, huh? :D Good to hear she's doin ya right.

Thanks for the advice Shitake. You and Joesy are completely correct. Low humidity may be exasperating my prob, but is definitely not the cause of it. I just did a test with my water ph. I had been using a little distilled white vinegar to lower my tap water ph from about 8.2 to +-6.8-7. And then letting sit a day for the clorine to evap a bit.

But after Joesy had mentioned that low humidity was never a problem for him, I started thinking that maybe our rock-hard Colo riv water here in the Valley of the Sun wasn't staying low--and sure enough I retested the water right before watering this time and it was back to 8! lol.

That is obviously locking out a lot of key nutrients. I'm guessing if I find the sweet spot and can stabilized around 6.8 or so, my probs will be in the rear-view mirror.

Tred to take pics but the white balance of my camera under the CMH is washed out, so I'll have to try again.

Thanks again for the tips fellaz, they were muy ayudamente...:rasta:

Can I blame this one on the moon...?

Took a whole tray of clones of grape krush and 1 PTK (1 of each going to a friendly friend) and as I'm walking up the stairs with the full tray and dome, I somehow managed to drop it :bashhead:

It doesn't look too bad, I think most will survive, but come on, shitake!!!

Joes...that PTK is only a couple weeks in and she just WREAKS of lemon furniture polish/pine sol, so I've decided she'll be worthy on aroma alone. Prolly got about 5 weeks to taste, but damn...stinky and robust growth!

I hope Ya get there soon Joesy! NM looked beautyfull when we pased threw when we went to AZ. The pics posted on this very thread of NM are just fukkin awesome! There were plenty weekends when I went out walkin them drywashes in AZ lookin for where it looked like there might be some gold. My buddys were Ol Man Kenny the prospector and his partner Emmit the old bareback rider. He was 84 years old when I knew him and he could put ya on yer knees with his handshake if he wannet to. Sometimes when he met a rambuncious young bukk hed showem just how good a grip an 84 year old bareback rider had and droped him to his knees. For the most part they just blew up theyre mountains. They blewem up and rolled the rocks down to the truck and pick theyre choices of rocks, takem to the mill and havem crushed up, and take it home and work it threw theyre water wheel to get the gold out! I went up withem sometime. Shootin stars every night, and the sunsets were even beter then here in Cali sometimes! I shure do hope ya get to NM real soon Breth. Its not too bad rite here where Im at in Cali either! We'r in a crevas that runs north and south on the top of a mountain peak, between 2 lakes. We got some prety cool geology rite here too!
