10 GRAND, 10 LIGHTS, NO TIME!

Nice setup bro! Are those 1000w Lumatek's? Can you tell us a bit more about the setup? I'm building a 6-light room right now (see link in my sig), looks like you're a bit ahead of me.

I love the use of rigid ducting in between the hoods. I plan on doing the same, although it will be a little more difficult to raise/lower the hoods than usual. Worst case, I'll compromise w/ the semi-rigid ducting.

they are 600's. I like 600's for flowering anything with a 2-4 wk veg cycle. They are on movers also if u can see. i have 1 3.5 intelli drive on each row of 4 600's. The rigid ducting does make it difficult to raise and lower lights, but if your a good grower, you can make your crops homogenous so all the lights should be likewise, therefore eliminating the need to raise/lower individual lights. I used chains first, and then just went and bought the light yo-yo's. They make this type of setup much easier to raise/lower all the lights at once. hope that helped..

Yeah I noticed the LR3.5's. I almost asked about it but thought I'd wait a little bit and see. Are you using 3 Add-A-Light's per LR3.5 motor (1 master trolley, 3 slaves)?

I do plan on mono-cropping but what I meant is that unless you have them all mounted on the same bar, it's hard to raise them more than 1-2 inches at a time w/o messing up the ductwork. Those light yo-yo's are neat, but this time around I'll pass on them.

So you're running 4800w? How many plants? Sealed or open room? What are you using for cooling besides the inline fans? What type of A/C, dehumidifier, etc?

Thanks pops. Why don't you go deliver this speech elsewhere? Nice thing is that I'll likely be doing far less time (i.e., none) growing 96 plants under 6000w than you'll do with a bagseed microgrow.

So its been some time and i bet you guys thought this was one of those "CONCEPTUAL" grows.

You said it, not me. :D

Looks good. Just keep an eye on those tables for proper drainage. Once you start filling with plants, water, medium, etc, they will settle from the weight

If anyone know yamaha does. I recomend you read his thread its one that will not only show the trial and tribulations associated with a big grow but addresses just about any issue that should arise. Also note Yamahas note about table. Make sure you have a secure table that will drain efficiantly if not your left with a massive headache.

since when is 4200 watts huge? just don't pull a bonehead move and you will be just fine. if you are a bonehead, then you already know it and its only a matter of time. we don't know, and its not fair for anyone to assume. only you know, so be true to yourself. trust your instincts, and don't get caught up with greed. quitting while you are ahead is not quitting, its winning. can always play again

4200 watts? hell, thats a house with 2 or 3 kids, wife doing laundry, watching 2 or three different tv's at once, dishwasher/stove ect....

be more worried about appearances, living there is key. not living there adds so much more risk, but to each his/her own. thats the beauty of life. whats for someone isn't always for someone else

keep your security tight, and don't slack. don't let the haters get you down. if it weren't for people like this guy setting up shop, the haters wouldn't have any buds to smoke. some people just naturally have bigger balls

big balls also mean, not bragging about your cool setup too. you start telling people, you are done. do it right, no worries. start tripping up and have fun sleeping at night. loose lips brother. stay smart

those tables are 14 ft long, perfectly in square, sloped @ 5 degrees and have numerous legs at various points to stabilize them. Im just hoping the ebb and flow fittings can fit between the bc plywood. I will be lining the tables with grates since the flat tables have no drain channels. The bags can create a dam once settled and effect drainage if this isnt done. you just put the bag on the grate which is elevated about 1 inch off the bottom of the plywood and walah, perfect drainage! My worry right now is wondering when those tables are full of bags of coco and h20, will they cave in the floor? and i have two 100 gal res tanks that are in the next room i am wondering the same thing about.. And i need to have another master 200gal in the same room as my feed tanks so when the 100 gals are empty i can jus fill em up real quick without missing any drip times instead of waiting a day for the r/o to fill em up. Will 400 gal of h20 in a large size bathroom cave in the floor? will two 14ft wood built tables with at least 20 bags of coco on each cave in my floor? Its a lot of weight! this is what im gonna apply btw....

A gallon of water is about 8.2 pounds. so 400 gallons in a bathroom is 3280 pounds or about the weight of a car.

Here is something I googled using "building load per square foot" try some variations on it.

http://books.google.com/books?id=0C...a=X&oi=book_result&resnum=7&ct=result#PPA6,M1

This basically indicates a load of 40 pounds per square foot spread over the whole floor. So that would be spread over 82 square feet.

I have no idea how this relates to your situation though and I did not sleep in a holiday inn last night

Gonna get flamed, but I gotta say it, I really dislike commercial growers.

It ruins it to me when people start applying capitalism to stuff.

That's my rant, and I am sorry if I hurt feelings, I was a commercial grower before I fell in love with this special special plant.

Thanks for pitching in. Now STFU and "chime in" on another thread where people care. If you don't like it, don't buy it. No one's forcing you to buy "commercial weed".

I make medicine for sick people. Im such a bad person for wanting help multiple people instead of just a few. Nobody gets hurt or ripped off in the process of distribution to my patients. Its clean from the plant to the pipe. So keep the negative vibes to yourself please.

Thx for the link yamaha. i guess im good to go with the 100gal 2x4 foot rez's.

Thats your decision, not mine. I just pointed you to some info I found :D I dont want to be blamed when all that comes crashing through the house. Ty-Stick knew alot about this type of stuff, too bad hes gone.

Hey oooga boooga.....drop the attitude.....no reason to be a dick.....also why not try some flex duct.....it is much better than the round pipe you are using.....
