Hey whats up everyone, I thought I'd say hi. Pops, thanks for your wealth of info as even the smaller points of your topics cover things most medical growers even scratch the surface of.

Here is an underage virgin since you requested Pops, sorry for the shitty HPS light photo.

SCF - glad you made your way here and found SDF worthy of sticky, k+'s
Desiderata & kmk - welcome! pleased to have such kind folks join the party... :)
GrowTech - dude, stop being so humble, lol, you are a brilliant "Tech"y and we want to hear more! :) and continue drooling over your edible creations!
bbing - please tell us more, about your experience with clinical trials, we need people like you in here, that's for sure!
Cannabean - damn homie, you got Dabney on lock!! that's the biggest I've ever seen her, literally, wow... I grew a miniature of her a while back and she yielded pretty good, but those colas are ridiculous, bravo!
slackerbri - lookin' forward to seein' that Cindy blow up, keep 'em comin' please!
Pops - wow, I am very impressed with the godfather of cannabinoids, Dr. Mechoulam's, work on the THC agonists! It's quite interesting that it has a sedative effect tho too, which I thought was the role of cb2 receptors, but I guess being 100-800 times as potent as THC will activate any and all cb receptors on an extreme level... I have a lot to learn still and will be doing some more pubmed searching and read "Science of Marijuana" by Iverson, and sharing what I learn with you & the crew... I also didn't know that synthetic analogs with HU in their name meant "Hebrew University" that's pretty cool, ya learn something new every day... In regards to your comments on the levels of chemicals (industrial and human waste from drugs), that's some scary shit for sure... makes me think twice about investing in an reverse osmosis machine, I think I'll go the distiller route instead - as RO filters can't possibly catch all this miniscule chemicals vs the complete breaking free of hydrogen/covalent/ionic bonding that boiling/distilling does...

And now some of my own virgins "in heat", lol...

Let us have a moment of silence for the beloved, late Dr. Jay. His legend continues in every page of this thread, and we will uphold this to our best!

I had the pleasure of having a little correspondence with Dr Jay. before he passed. Nothing earth shaking but a moment I'll always value. I continue to honor his memory by using his Black Out Bud Butter recipe for all my cannabutter.

:respect:

Dr. Jay Cavanaugh

ps... It looks like some of the stuff is outdated but there's still some really good info on the website for American Alliance for Medical Cannabis. AAMC is a group that Dr Jay was instrumental in starting.

Though I don't live in SD directly, I hope to be moving there soon with my son,so I can get him closer to doctors and hospitals. My participation here may be less due to the time that it will take to be his full time caregiver, as well as supply several med patients and do the research on CBD bearing strains. This old body can only be stretched so far.

For those in the SD area, we face special challenges. California is a MMJ state, but our particular area is one that has few med clubs left and local administration and law enforcement that refuses to honor the will of the people. It becomes endemic upon us to achieve the true spirit of Prop 215. We hear so much bitching about med clubs and the dirty profit-mongering growers who supply them. I am not too sure how folks expect to get meds without these growers, who are willing to risk loss of freedom and constitutional rights, whether for money or desire to help sick people. We have in this thread, many fine growers, some who grow for profit, some for personal use and some for love of the plant and love for patients. It has been an honor to share this thread with all of you.

My son is no longer able to grow, but wants to participate with me in the grow experience. It will be a joy to have him here with me again. I have not seen him since he contracted ALS and ,although he has warned me about how badly he has gone downhill, it is still a shock to see a once healthy son reduced to such a helpless state. I will still be checking in here on a regular basis and if there is anything I can do to help the SD brethren with "medical needs" or info, please don't hesitate to drop me a PM.

It was stated at the beginning of our country that "if we don't all hang together, we will all hang separately". I feel that is so true ,especially here in the SD area. Law enforcement and politicians who cater to the religious have banded together to make our lives dangerous and difficult. People like Dr. Jay are an inspiration to the rest of us. One person can make a difference, especially in the life of a sick person. A dozen of us banding together can make a difference in the lives of hundreds. A very popular TV show, Band of Brothers, showed how a group of men fought against enemies in WW2. I feel that here in SD, we have a Band of Brothers fighting an enemy that wishes to encarcerate us and end our activities. Fight on, San Diego!

Hey Sub,
I have a cross called Canadian Wonder. I know all the genetics are from Canada....but other than that I wonder what it is

Sub ( or anyone)...My P-91 is growing painfully slow and the leaves look a bit mutated / not supper healthy. I did spray a couple of times with neem which has caused some distortion on other strains in the past particularly when they were sprayed with new foliage emerging. Do we know if P-91 is prone to nutrient deficiency / sensitivity.

I'm having similar issues with my Sour Bubble baby. Both are surviving and have grown eough for me to take a single cut off but it just seems like they should be doing a little better.

My Hogsbreath is one that I actually expected to grow slower than it is. It was pretty slow at first but after it got big enough to take a cut...then it put out some very nice growth.

Peace

Moby Dick (Sativa Pheno)

The most well-known variety of our catalogue, is also most powerful, and sativa. It is the turn out to cross the 2 better clones of our bank of mothers, one sativa and the other East Indian. The Moby Dick is the plant more psychoactive than we produce until now, with a concentration of THC of up to 21% and presence of THCV, an originating compound of equatorial sativas and that it takes place in answer to the solar ultra-violet rayses, that power the effect of the THC until the end of which with pierced 2 or 3, the effect is or powerful. The low concentration of CBD helps to that the effect, in addition to cerebral and psychoactively intense, is very lasting; it produces physical and mental sudden acceleration, and the slope is long, slightly physical, and notable. It produces much appetite, and dry the mouth of extreme way, reason why it is recommended to eat and to drink well to resist his effects. For that same reason, the increase of the appetite, very is adapted to treat the indirect effect about the chemotherapy, or for the anorexy. Two phenotypes in this crossing, the one dominant that tends to sativa, with 65% of the plants, and rest exist that tend to be faster and small. In the sativa feno it dominates to the aroma to wood and pine with incense notes, and in the East Indian feno he is sweeter and less sativo.
So that Moby Dick is developed totally, it is necessary to give much light him, up to 800 watts by square meter, and a very high EC, between 1,50 and 2,00 EC, because it eats more than most of the varieties. It is important to watch ph, so that not it arrives to raise of ph 6.5, because otherwise it is possible that it shows iron deficiency in form of ferric clorosis, that consists of the progressive amarilleamiento of the intervenal spaces of the beam of the leaves, and the wrinkling of the ends of the foliolos. Although this deficiency does not jeopardize the health of the plant, can limit the harvest if very it is accused.
In outside, plenary session sun, much earth, much water, and abundant space, 3 meters of plant to plant, guarantees trees of 3 meters of height, and productions of up to 1500 grams in optimal conditions. To emphasize the speed of flowering, 60 – 70 days in interior, 15 of October in outside, and the resistance to the inherited mould of the sativa.
Days of flowering to 12 hours: 60-70.
Harvest in outside: From the 10 to the 25 of October.
THC: Very high (16% - 20%)
CBD: Low.
Production: Very high.
Height in outside: 3.5 meters.
Composition: Sativa – Indica with sativa dominancia.
Genotype: Haze x White Widow.

Royal Haze

The sativas of quality, are those that produce clear psychoactive effects, without the body notices dream or slowness sensation. The THCV presence, a compound that power the stimulating effect of the THC, and the absence of CBD, are the people in charge of which in addition the effect is very long, being able to last many hours, and that sensation of fatigue or lethargy are not. It is not easy that besides to produce that effect, a plant of this quality is a good producer, and normally they are of low yield. The Royale Haze fulfills both requirements: it is of very sativa effect, and produces like a beast, for which there is to give very many light him, much fertilizing, enough water, and only 70 days. The 10%-20% of the plants even arrives at the 75 and 80 days, but the majority is ready with 70.
The aroma very is especiado, with a slight rich and complex, flavorful sweet tone of skunk in some of them. It is possible to be cultivated without problems in the outside in zones you even cold or of mountain, because it is harvested relatively soon, for last of October. Of the 3 sativas that we have produced, this is the best commitment between extreme power, sativa quality and high production. Very it is adapted for SCROG.
Days of flowering to 12 hours: 65-75.
Harvest in outside: From the 20 to the 30 of October.
THC: Very high (16% - 20%).
CBD: Very low.
Production: Very high.
Height in outside: Up to 4.5 meters.
Composition: Sativa with 15% Indica.
Genotype: Haze x (Skunk x Northern Lights).

Dutch Passion
Jorges Diamonds (2 Phenos)

We are pleased to work together with Jorge Cervantes in our mutual project: “Jorge’s Diamonds”.
The many grow books, DVDs and articles Jorge Cervantes has published in the past 25 years in 9 languages have helped growers worldwide to cultivate some of the best marijuana in the world.
Now growers can grow Jorge’s Diamonds #1 and take full advantage of the fruits of Jorge’s collaboration with his old friends at Dutch Passion Seeds.
The genetics of the strain were selected by Jorge from the 25 year old “Research Gene Pool” of Dutch Passion.

Jorge's Diamond is a unique resin-packed indica-dominant strain that is potent, sweet, flavourful and incredibly smooth smoking.
The rare indica-dominant genes are mixed with just the right amount of sativa to give the smoke a very strong soaring long-lasting high. The exceptional taste and aroma are fruity and sweet.
The insatiable taste is sweet and similar to wild honey smothered in raspberries.
The strain is almost maintenance free, also spider mites and other pests know to leave Jorge’s Diamonds #1 alone.
Medical note: By Thin Layer Chromatography the THC percentage was calculated at 16 to 18%, while the strain (medical note) is high in THCV, CBD and CBN.
