Never see Ca/Mg deficiencies in veg? Most of mine show during veg, and some Mg defs in flower... w/o supplementing with extra Ca/Mg (using Botanicare's Cal-Mag+ for now, but gonna try samples of the Organicare CalPlex which doesn't have additional N).

I don't think slips got it from the expo (he said he was too lazy to go :D). But you're probably right.

one of those things....

one of those things....

:bashhead:
Epsom Salts are a much cheaper way to fix your cal/mag ratios.
and they add sulphur.
and they make for a wonderful soak for sore muscles.
and you can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink
:beat-dead:

Slips' background ppm in his water is so high I doubt it's a calcium content issue. Last time we talked he confirmed it was a non-issue for him.
Not that I'd ever take the words out of his mouth.
What's that cut up top, Slips?

I recently started up again using Technaflora products using Pure Vida grow and Bloom using the agressive 2 part formula along with Sugar Daddy seems to be working pretty well I almost lost these ladies in a toxic Sun Hut I got them out just in time and they are coming back nicely.

Hey All and Slips, I had a question for you about PURA VIDA. I am starting under 4800 watts with two 8 by 4 ebb and flow trays in coir and perlite. The reso's are 100 gallons but I fill them to 60-70 each with a 366PPM water out of the tap. It is filtered well water. I can't use an ro at this persons house or else I would. So I added PURA VIDA grow and superthrive to this 366PPM water and now PPM is 550 for first week all grape ape so far adding in the cough this week as well. Is there anything I should be looking to add to this mix that will make it better for aggressive vegg growth?? The timers for the trays feed them for 6 minutes every 12 hours.Ther PH is at 6 right now. Any help appreciated!!

Yes I have checked the EC don't go over ec 1 or 900ppm ... thats where problems arise ... feed more times with less nutes ... you can add some thrive alive b1 to help out in vegg ....

Pura Vida--in 100% Coco

Pura Vida--in 100% Coco

I like the high P levels when compared to Botanicare base nutes.
Got my best TW yield ever with it last run--and that was with heat issues.

I veg with Botanicare. But just switched the entire crop to Pura Vida for transition.
I'm using Calplex, Sweet, and Fulvex (1% Mg) for cal/mag, as Pura Vida has none.

Here's the mix I'm trying--per gallon 0 ppm source water:

Pura Vida - 10ml
Calplex - 10 ml *will ramp down after transition
Sweet - 7.5 ml *boosts Mg & Sulfur
Fulvex - 7.5 ml *contains 1% Mg
Grotek's Pro-Silcate - 3.5 ml *K boost--will be ramped down early flower along with Ca ramp down
Nitrex - 2.5 ml *will ramp down after transition

Profile:
N 115 *will be ramped down after transition
P 80
K 178
Su 42
Mg 66
Ca 110 *will ramped down after transition

I'll be sure to post the results

I went with 10 ml/gal of Calplex expecting OMRI Calcium carbonate to be slower. Not so. I recognized the imbalance swiftly, and acted accordingly. I also changed the mix--per gallon 0 ppm source water:

Pura Vida - 11.3 ml
Calplex - 5 ml
Sweet - 7.5 ml
Fulvex - 7.5 ml
Pro Silicate - 3.5 ml
Nitrex - 2.5 ml

New Profile:

N 123
P 91 <----I cannot get there with PBP
K 198
Mg 68
Su 42
Ca 55

Been on that mix for 2 days

I foliar fed Cindy just before this shot--her "hair is frazzled"

For microbial actvity and nutrient conversion...

...I fertigate that mix daily...

...with minimal runoff
