anyone else bothered by the inaccuracy of weeds?

FFS, it's a show on TV, a comedy show, it's a piece of entertainment designed to be escapism, you are supposed to suspend your disbelief and emerse yourself in the piece, not pick it apart like a fucking critic!

I see your point, but stop looking at people nitpicking minute incorrect aspects of a grow, but look at the wider picture.

Every type of media, from the press to comedy shows, influences people's world view and opinions. Fake nonsense can only serve to further demonize cannabis, the more public opinion changes, the more likely policy will as well. It all adds up in the grand scheme of things, I'm sure nobody on here would give a flying fuck how the show presented cannabis culture if weed was fully legal and accepted by everyone!

Having said all that though I mainly dislike the show because it's pretty fucking wack. Every 'comedy' relating to weed is invariably very unfunny.

Yes. Me moreso the her dealing aspect side of it. It bothered me enough to stop watching it after the first four episodes. I gave it more than a fighting chance.. it just couldnt hold me.

Because it keeps growing more of an underground thing. The show already probably encourages people to want to grow, but atleast it doesn't give away all the secrets to some wanna be commercial grower trying to be like Nancy.

I gave it a chance, but stopped watching when that one dealer milf cattily dumped a bunch of dime bags out on her SUV's hood to impress a bunch of punk ass kids. I know there's really no decently "accurate" weed shows/movies, but that level of retardation is just ridiculous. It's more like a damn WB drama that has sex, cussing, and weed to try and be edgy.

weeds

great show, very entertaining,

but when it comes to growing grossly inaccurate.

for example..

they often show flowering and vegging plants in same room

they seem to always be growing from seed and never mention cloning

carbon filters just sit in the corner with a fan on top... no realistic attempt at ventilation

so I watch and enjoy, but get bothered by the inaccuracies

also seems that advanced nutrients signed some kinda sponsorship as there posters are up and the actors make mention and use of the a lines...

so am I nuts? should I just not let it bother me? should the writers pick up a copy of indoor mj horitculture?

Not to be an ass but they talk about clones many times silas grows from clones. He kept them in a humidity dome too. When it comes to everything else though the show is very loose. Obviously its not like they are smoking real weed. When it comes down to it only a small % of people are bothered by the inaccuracies.

I couldn't care about the growing inaccuracies but what I really hate is someone making money from weed who doesn't even smoke herself. Unforgivable. Just in it for the money.
