have to agree 100%. not the most potent strain ever and i also agree it's not a 3+hour high by any means, i just don't think it's the slouch most people make it out to be. DEFINITELY an elite and for good reason. preliminary crosses to a haze hybrid have increased the duration so i'm guessing the duration is recessive. i do kinda feel the gc gets a bad rep because people juice the shit out of her leading to poor burning, poor tasting herb. genetically speaking, she's a real gem.

its great for commercial. Nice yields in a short time. A lot better than say top 44 or something with ruderialis in it. I think green crack is a skunk kush cross. The kush they used is prob a old school mazari or citralah. For personal smoke I prefer the 8 week blue haze, but she doesnt yield as good and is not as easy to grow.

if i'm not mistaken it's a super skunk X sweet leaf afghani. in thinking about why it gets such a bad rep, i also think flowering time comes into play, especially in regards to duration and intensity of the high. i would imagine the shorter duration may be in part due to earlyier picking. the crack seems to develop most of it's profile later in flowering than i see people letting it go. yes, 60-65 days will produce top quality, tight nuggets but it's not until 70+ that the real profile develops. just a few random thoughts for what it's worth.

^^I thought it was a skunk #1 x an unknown indica? I'm not trying to argue with you, b/c what you say the cross might be sounds exactly like it smells and tastes: sweet, skunky, and that afghan taste. I just had the pleasure of buying some of this variety last night (nuggies, not a clone) and IMHO the smell is very sweet and skunky, and the high is more of an up, clear headedness high, but also stupefying. IMO I don't think the taste is bland, I think is is full and flavorful, but I love, just love skunk#1 hyrbids, maybe people accociate the flavor of skunk with being generic or boring b/c it's been around so long. That's awesome it produces offspring of better quality, very nice trait.

i dont know the exact days in flower...i didnt countbut around 40/45 days i am guessing...i am going to let them run longer this round...i have two that look about how the last one did now, so i will try and wait another 20 days.,,

but will take sooner if i feel it is inevitable...i judge my plants by sight/smell when harvesting...i dont go by what packages/breeders say....i been doing this long enough i can tell by eyeballing...

I plan on doing a large seed grow of green crack maybe like 10-20 plants. Green crack is the best plant that you can have 45 days is great, 65 for that couchlock that so many look for.

I run my GC 56days on the average. She's ok at 46days in my environment but I love taking her longer. I've recently been smoking some 63day moonshine mix GC and oh has she been nice.

I think the smoke is better when taken the distance. To me when she is pulled at 45days the high just makes my eye lids heavy, without much else to the high. When taken at 56days, I feel the high has much more character to it. I feel the taste has had time to rippen up nicely as well.

It is Skunk #1 crossed with a random indica that was floating around. Female was Skunk #1, pollen came from the random indy.
