Hey Dr. Bud,
My females (finally) are growing well, and drinking water like mad. Having to water every day at the moment. Would I be better off planting the clones that are rooting now into 1 liter containers or sticking with the 20oz and just keeping their feet wet by adding an inch of water to the tray during this time of bud growth and extreme thirst?
Second question... At day 30 of flower now, and the lower leaves are starting to thin out and yellow. At what point do you suggest I trim off those lower fan leaves as they start to yellow and die off?

Hey Doc, excellent setup man! I've been setting my grow box up with a couple CFLs from SH.. its those OzoneBulbs or whatever. I'm only growing 4 plants at a time, just enough to keep me high you know what I mean? Going for the Lowryders so I can harvest every couple of months in my little box. Once it's all setup I'll post a thread about it to get some feedback as it will be my first indoor microgrow. My question for you is (and this may seem like a stupid question but I have to ask) do you cut holes at the bottom of your 20oz for drainage or do you water a certain amount, like just the right amount of water for the plant to use up, so that drainage holes arent necessary? just wondering and take it easy man!

All right Doc. I have a question for you. You've seen my SOG grow and you know I use two gallon res. for my plants. The problem I have is with my plants getting to three four feet when flowered at an inch (sativas anywase).
Now it has been discussed in earlier posts about keeping them in smaller containers to keep the height down (obviously). That’s fine and all but what I want is to keep the plants the same size as yours and still have in a larger container.
I think that if I start all my seedling in a small cup like you then transplant into 20oz soda bottle for the first two to three weeks of flower I could keep the height down and still be able to transplant them in larger containers ( 1 gallon). Right????? What do you think? I would be able to at least control crazy sativas this way. I ask because my new cab is going to be organic.

Here's my 2 girls and I wanted to know if you or anybody could tell me they will be getting any taller in the last 4-5 weeks of flowering. I started them at 2 inches and they are now 7 - 9 inches and look like I dipped them in sugar(no HID) too . Also whats the smallest a stem on a cutting can be to get a successful clone???

I just hope I can reveg these proper and make some moms out of them, my buddy that gifted me the clones said they are Alaskan Thunderfuck so I need to look into what strains are in it cuz I want a good sativa

alaskan thunkerfucks been around for awhile ..i have familiy thats from alaska and that was the weed they always brought back home with them..killer weed ..put your dick in the dirt for sure...nice tasting to ...i think it has indica in in tho..def not a full sativa tho..you can see this in your 2nd pic...

I know what I did wrong with these so next time they should look better..I don't think I should of topped them and I should have put them in as soon as they rooted that way ,, I could have put more in there with them closer together. oh yeah and less plant food for the smaller containers.

well after reading this whole who can piss the farthest thread and watching a old member being warned i almost didnt reply. cfl's can produce nice buds but i call BS on your 2-4 grams per watt cfl growing cfl's dont have the power to penertrate the canopy more then afew inchs. and you pack 72 plants in there cfl's work better when thier between 1-4inch from plants tops this achieves the densest nugs. you claim to pull better weight GPW with cfl's then most do with HID again i call BS

the things that drbud portrays are crazy BUT, in the 3 threads he has going he has also said alot of intelligent things that support his statements. you aren't the first to call BS and you won't be the last. i for one think its insane, BUT dude developed his own strain to do exactly what he wants.
i'm not buying into the 2-4 GPW usen cfls over HID and srry but i dissagree if i stuff 72 plants in my closet i'll need 3-4k in lighting. duders breaking all the so called rules his cfls start off what 1ft 1ft 1/2 from plants tops. i veg with 420w in mixed color cfls and i can say for fact when my cfls are 1ft above plants cfls dont penertrate down into canopy much. fact not fiction
i use 45w warm=150w@2900 3,000k lumens and 25w=100w daylight @1470 lumens 5,000k in each fixture 6 fixtures total

sog is about numbers and how many per sqft yes i know but rule of thumb is not to exceed 4 per sqft hes craming 16 per sqft. i would have to personally see this 2-4 grams per watt under cfl's before i believe it. now 2-4 gram wet weight i would believe after dry this would bring him into a beliveable world of .75-1 GPW usen cfls. i'll stand by what i know and i'll add this last final thought
theres ppl here on icmag thats been growen since candels where used indoors they mostly used 4-8ft floressent shop lights with either a warm or cool white bulb in the fixture. then HID was introduced they made the jump and havent looked back, sure some slowed down and even made the jump to T5 lighting. but all will admit nothing except the Sun compares with HID lighting, now if ppl could pull 2-4 grams per watt usen cfl's i think most usen HID would jump ship. think about it sensably for a minute can you pull 2-4 GPW usen HID let alone usen CFL's cfls are for nice smaller budget growers. i've seen ppl produce some mighty fine results like redgreenery for 1 and his spaceship lookn rubbermaid lol things wicked. he achieves 1 GPW usen it

Wow!!!! Another hater... what a shame.. I think it's jealousy, you say the buds were fluffy and not dense. Lou says it's produced the hardest nugs he's seen! I would say Lou has seen a lot of pot. As for the wet weight it was 82 grams wet 21 dry I don't know why you want to come in here and talk shit when Dr. Bud (who I've heard of out of the forums) is trying to help. I know my set up and what my girls look like has my buddy wanting to toss his 1000w hps cuz I can pull off the same if not more in 2 months in a cab like Dr Buds.. Until you make a box and run a few SOG's in it don't talk shit...

Well said bro !!!! I got the Doc's back cuz I will no longer have to wait on lazy dealers anymore to bring me my smokage.... I've seen more than 15 people in different threads produce nugs that look just as good as something done with HID so why not??? I'm sure there were dudes that were hating on HID's when they started using them like I can do way better with sunlight...

it's also not really fair to say cfls > hid because of the amount of plants your running 72 over 5.4 feet is 13.3 per square foot.
you get caught with 72 plants plus another 28 being cloned your going to jail for 7-20 years.

i'm not hater just staten fact not fiction he has no veg time and pulls 2 GPW usen CFL's when most cant even achieve 1 GPW usen HID. go head newbs believe GOD and when ya start askn why this n that you'll know BS when ya read it.
