Why? Was it funny? I have heard growers down here say that Skunk and Haze both stay in veg until the middle of August. Give it two or three months to finish from there. It shouldn't need any supplemental irrigation until at least October. So, what's the problem? You get a ten pound yield unless you get hit by a hurricane like the last monster sativa grower here got slammed by Hurricane Charlie. He should have chopped it the day before, it was still in veg, but it would have made him enough Cannabutter to stay in a non-stop stoned stupor for months, maybe years. I would have even offered to buy the leaves from him.

Tropical, no, the comment on this hazexskunk was not funny, it was more like "uh-oh". If this thing keeps growing at this rate for another 4-5 months, ill be in serious trouble. I have some pretty high/dense jungle growth behind my house but another 2-3 ft of growth and this Sative will be the tallest thing out there.
You think I could possible do some subtle LST on it?
My buddy puts his clones out in october 'cause (i'm guessing) the rain season is over and doesnt have to worry about mold
I have a bice flower bed up against the back of my house tha i'm gonna fill with 20 clones, 10 w'widow and 10 ak47. What month do you suggest would the ideal for them to be put in the ground without worry about mold?

I would have started the LST earlier, but it will still help control the height.
I asked about October because that is only the start of the dry season, why doesn't he use the rest of it?
I would try putting out a few clones in September, but I would put out a bunch every month thereafter until early April. Then, I would switch to sativa for mold resistance. If you like the SOG style flower beds, then go with an early sativa, like Early Durban from the Flying Dutchmen. The clones that go out in September will start to get fat in October, so there is some risk of mold depending on the weather. Some years we get a lot of rain in October, other years, not so much. Sweet Tooth #3 would get moldy for sure, but maybe not ak47.
The good thing about moms not flowering well is that you shouldn't have much trouble with mold. If you don't get any decent buds, then run the whole plant through the bubble bags. Then, take the same plant matter and make Cannabutter out of it. You will still have good potency if you use about half as much butter as usual for that weight of trim that hasn't been through the bags.

Anybody here having to deal with red ants? I have a Hashberry outside in a pot of coco and it seems that no matter where i move the pot to those fuckin red ants are in the coco. Funny thing is, i have 2 ak47 outside in pots in coco and the ants arent messing with them. WTF?
The (hashberry)plant is growing nicely so i dont think the fact that red ants have made a home in the coco is doing any harm but...
Any thoughts on the subject?

i use to have a shed burning and during the summer i always got red ants in there, i started putting some of that red ant/fire ant killer stuff (powder) from home depot around the pots and it seemed to rid them all. I dont know if they ever made a home in the b'cuzz hydro mix but they where around and walking on the walls of my pots

1 arrested in beachside grow house sting

One man is being held at the Brevard County jail this afternoon after Brevard County Sheriff's Office agents armed with search warrants uncovered four grow houses on Merritt Island, Satellite Beach and Indialantic.
Sheriff's spokesman Andrew Walters said David Tobias, age and address unavailable, was charged early today after search warrants were served on three suspected grow houses. Walters said the investigation stemmed from a resident's complaint about a week ago of suspicious activity at one of the homes involved.
The grow houses were at 11200 South Tropical Trail on Merritt Island, 225 Sunrise Ave. and 403 Lighthouse Landing, both on Satellite Beach.
In the course of the investigation, sheriff's agents found there was another grow house Tobias is accused of operating in Indialantic. The home at 370 Rio Lane is owned by owned by Stephen Blythe, who is a candidate for a congressional seat held by Rep. Dave Weldon, who is not seeking re-election.
Contacted this afternoon by FLORIDA TODAY, Blythe said he was surprised, and had not heard from authorities.
Walters said the investigation is ongoing and other arrests are pending. No charges are pending against Blythe, but others may be charged in the course of the investigation.
Blythe said he was renting the property out to a James McJunkin. It doesn't appear McJunkin lives in the home, authorities said. Walters said the layout is consistent with the other grow houses with the equipment and materials involved.
"I guess anybody can get caught up in this," Blythe said. "Anybody who has a rental property."
Blythe also said the guy he rented to came with good references from a Melbourne Realtor.
Walters said all four houses netted about 500 marijuana plants and 100 pounds of harvested marijuana, averaging about $4,000 per pound. Walters described it as a significant but not elaborate grow house operation -- meaning the equipment involved was not as sophisticated as other grow houses recently raided by sheriff's agents.
Agents seized several vehicles, including a Chevey Chevelle registered to Tobias parked in the garage of the home owned by Blythe. Agents could possibly seize Blythe's house for forfeiture.

One of this guys grow houses in the article was right around the corner from where i work. I thought i smelled some dank at 4 in the morning but then i thought, nah, just swamp gas.
Wonder what they're gonna do with the Chevelle?

Trop, i got 'em in 2 gallon pots. (If you meant do the pots look alittle small), supposedly in coco pot size isnt too much of an issue, within reason. These 3 plants are kinda an experiment into coco, outdoors. I'm doing some indoors as well but i'm trying to see how far i can push some outdoors plants in coco. I plan on doing a pretty big outdoor run come this fall with all the used coco i'm gonna have. Most likely it'll be w'widow and ak47. At least 50 clones, maybe more depending on how much used coco i'll have.
How'r your outdoor plants doing down there in the MIA? We've been getting hit with some furious storms every afternoon over here. I'm talkin plants gettin blown across the yard storms.

Newby from the Treasure Coast wanted to thank you for all the great info...I'm new to the area and new to growing Ive recently started some new plants and I am hoping someone can tell me when it would be best to put these outside ....I currently am growing PowerPlant, Belladonna, G13, Hash Plant, and Nebula strains from seed and they are all about 40 inches tall in coco in the veg and I'm not sure when would be best to put these outside ( I know this is the rainy season) and which ones will do best or what the yields I can hope for ...can anyone help? I realize I have to get them use to the sun over say a week ....they look healthy now but If I go to dirt will there be any problems and what is the best dirt mix for florida..... any help would be appreciated.

If it wasn't for the rainy the rainy season then you could put the plants outside now. I'm "experimenting" with my plants so thats why i put them outside now. The problem with the rainy season is (of coarse) mold.
That said, sept/oct, imo, would be the right time of the year to put clones outside.
Tropical knows his shit about when to put plants outdoors so you may wanna ask him his opinion.
Those are some pretty nice strains you got there, by the way.
Personally, i'd try to keep them in coco when you put them outdoor. (You might wanna try asking this ? in the Coco forum)
