 Yeah, What he said!!

Was reading a few pages back about panda film walls. Here's a ghetto DIY thing that I do...

I call it the shower curtain light saver:
I hang a line/rope lengthwise (up high around the ceiling) from one end of the table to the other...then head to wally world and get some shower curtain hangers (79 cent for 20) and a couple of WHITE shower curtains. Hang the curtains on your line and boom...you have just recovered many otherwise lost lumens...You'll also have easy access to any section of that area without a lot of hassle. I hang em on both sides to kind of "box in" my grow.
I'm sure it doesn't reflect as well as panda but it's damn sure easy, cheap and makes a difference!

Happy belated 420 everybody!

SOG maintenence time

SOG maintenence time

HI Stoney,

Just an amazing grow Stoney. It's got to be the best SOG I've seen especially for the size of your grow. :respect:

I haven't been by for a while being real busy with my 1st grow, which is going into havest now. I got my Satori's up in veg for 18 days and looking good. There's some photos in my grow diary the links below.

My cousin and I are going to set up his house with me running the grow.

I like everything about SOG and especially your setup. I would like to do what you've done in his place, but I'm really concerned time and maintanence involved. If space wasn't an issue would set up SOG again? . I'm curious how much time is needed a day? It seems to me that you spend a tremendous amount of time and energy on clones etc.. Just curious as I need to start designing my new layout.

Thanks and hope all's well, KB

Kilbud, I cant speak for Stoney but I can tell you my experience. I run perpetual with 3 tables, so one table harvests every 3 weeks. One week is real busy, trimming the harvest, cutting clones etc. The other two weeks are very easy. I check PH etc and spend about 10 minutes a morning. Some mornings I spend a little more as I do 2 res changes per cycle when changing nute solutions and additives. While the rez is pumping out and filling back up, I usually lollipop the newest batch.

To me SOG is less work than Scrog as you dont have to tend to the plants every day

great thread. very well done. with your a/c i guess you don't need a chiller for you rez's? any idea what you rez temps max are? i have tried AN 3 part and triflex. i would recommend anything GH instead - flora, floranova, maxi. i can imagine all the work that entails with 1000 blooming plants and all the clones and mothers. transplating, rez changes, manicuring, etc. im sure the hard work pays off! thanks stoney.

it takes a ton of work in this place it's a full time job but i belive in a lot of preventive matenice i change reses every week on each table i sweep mop wash pots a lot of different stuff but it's all the same stuff week after week and i wouldn't do anything but a sog grow my self but anybody thinking of doing a big sog should get a flip switch they are the shit worth every penny

nice inspiring work stoney,
would love to pull 3lb with my two 600w lumatek and movers but I guess still have to work things out.
I was wondering if you could tell me how far does the mover travel.
I would also like to know how far apart are the two 600w and whats the distance from the plants to the lights?
grow safe,
peace

the best way i found to get 3-4 lbs of a 2 600s is a 4x8 ft table but just remember them white tables are 4 1/2 ft X 8 1/2 ft on the out side so set your room up with tat in mind and i'll get ya sum # on where the lights set

the lights are 32" inches apart
ok here is what i did i started with a 8ft 1"x1" squre piece of alluinem cut it to 6ft long drilled a hole at one inch for the eye hook for the light drilled a hole at 14" for the add a lamp pully another hole for light at 20" another hole for light at 52" a hole for the mover at 56" and a last hole at 71" for the light
ok (edit) i would not cut the squre tube down just leave it 8ft start your hole at 25" and add 24" to everything or you cad use a peice of wood if you like
