Hola buen chaman :)

Hope life is been treating you well. nice to see wet season is passing over and new seedlings are coming well. Ill place a chair somewhere in this place, hope it doesnt rain much here ;)

I am starting also some Nigeria/Congo as seeds are not well as you know. They germed and started with some lack of health but after initial weeks they are starting to go now. Lets see how they do and who finish them first hehe

Those Tie Dyes have got to be wearing out Bro time for some new ones ;) .

Here are some pictures; Two Perfections the rest Emerald City Girl, one Blueberry too. The E.C.G. is growing calyxs on the leaf stems, I tried to get some pics but it's hard to see.

The Perfection you have is an F2 of John Lee Pedimore's Perfection a cross of Balckberry and something else. I took my two best and made them you know "do it". :)

Charlie,

Your girls are doing wonderfull, if i'm lucky i'll post some new pics taken today at almost 2 months of life. jejejeje la congo x nigeria me parece hembra and the great thing is where you'd see the first sings of pistels next too the thin long beatifull greel pistel like on each side of the leaves next to where the branch is born, she is putting out new branches too, so 3 branches maybe to come from each node on a few sides, would be a very nice production plant. I remember the Congox Nigerian X Destroyer that went over my nieghbors roof was incredible. She looks more a Hybird, she carries the fattest leafs in my garden has a lime'ish green color, I hope to darken with some fresh fert i've given them. She is in a 5 gallon bucket, and too speed her up into flower i've planted several new seeds too that have born and all should start to root construct soon, and get her to hurry up and flower and not grow so much as the spert that she is in is very intense...almost grows before your eyes, but also was a dead start...not till she was almot 3 weeks old or more was she worth looking at compared to the rest of plants.

My First batch of Destroyer x Panamas are going to be 4 feet tall soon and are just starting to realy revert too lessor digits on her leafes, reached 9fingers, and has gone back to 5digits and is in oposite phylo. Estan muy guapas !!

Las mas joven del mismo grupo van en buen camino.

The Panama Striaght is looking better each time and I regret now that I hadn't started her in a 5 gallon. She is in a 3gal. Her leafes have a very different texture and color as the rest, but the Destroyer x Panama also shows a little but now others...so I know the dirt mix is ok, but maybe these are just more N hungry than the rest...but if I give it too them, jejej damn they are going too be monsters.

Electro,
Indicas are also good for muscle spasm I think...jeje na man they are a complement too all gardens, I do normaly have one around somewhere...normaly ill enjoy her while I wait for the rest to finish.

Space, jejje yeah man mmmin is real start'n too, but my kids have held up realy well as they don't wear them as much as I doo. As it faeds i've notices other patterns so its kinda cool too ejejje and i've not shrummed in a while....outa season and all jeje na just play'n but realy have seen some prety cool things going on in there...jejej kinda like the back of a $20 jeje green team go !!! lol....as I sit here high off my ass laugh'n people start'n to stare...jeje paranioa !! oh noooo jejeje na if they don't know i'm high off my ass all day every day after 10yrs work'n here they must be higher than I.

Those ladies doo look real nice, I do see waht you mean on the leaves, but might recomend next time to take a pic maybe just before lights are warming up, or right at lights out. The white of a flash on the green might show it better, with a dark background too, jeje would look prety sharp fe get it right.

Thanks for share the pics man, realy nice.

Bacchus !!!,
yeah...you know what realy sucks, I hate saprissa....jejeje I like the Liga more, my cousin is a die hard Saprissa fan and is why many of his purple plants go by el "monstro" or things or the sort if not different players jejejeje ....sick.

Realy great you stop'd by man, hope all is going well.

hey chaman , good to see u still going and growing strong in the tropics ..
we had a pretty crappy year here ,, few obsticles that we never really overcame and the yeild suffered terribly ...
was a really wet season here , huge downpours more than normal ,, but no cyclones to speak of and quite a bit of dry weather during the wet season ..
so the wet has already finished here , pretty early given its late start , and we look foward to sunny , but a cold winter ...
the next season will be better i hope , well at least im finally on my own out there ,, so if its a bad season ,, can only blame one guy , hehehhe ...

Hey Wally thats crazy man, seen that here rain season has started a month earlier. Was a wierd summer too, had a bunch of rians here and there....instead of that constant killer sun. I'm sorry to hear that man, do you think if maybe you had used an old seed line, back in the day land aclimated seeds the same wouldhave happened ?

jeje only your self to kick in the ass from now on huh...can be hard man, you are always your worst critic, jeje but I hear you, some things you just got to do on you own. No one has the same vibe, or needs.

here is a little update, jeje first is a pond i'm digging...guys if you ever want one...jeje pay some bunch of people to do it for you. I got sick beleave it or not, I over worked my self in 3 days the third the one where I prety much almost killed my self jejeje and not even half way through it !! jeje na man honeslty its been awesome, do it your self you make it how you imagine it better, and I'm prety proud so far. Friend of mine a special Rasta, Johnny Dread made the out line after an afternoon going to a near by water fall and then going back to my home for a few spliffs before dinner and we wanted to bring the waterfall home. jeje I'm gona have my own little mount Zion where my birth giving water will fall down it the pond, and i've already started save'n up for them fish...any one who knowes about Koi know they aren't cheap. But yeah, gona complete a feeling I was missing, jejejjejee but the point of all this was with this i'm gona finaly start play'n with agua ponics !!!!!! so siked, need to go home and dig...jejje few pipes and i'm going at it like old John Henry with his hammer jeje think that was the folk songs name.

then a pic of plants before i water them jejeje poor girls....

Harvesting....

Harvesting....

Hi all,

Great grow Chaman! Yesterday I had to harvest one of the Afghan and HinduKush plants, which reached already 150 cm hight, due tho the mold spot I found in the bud. The La Ninña weather pattern has brought us earlier than usual rains and it seems thath these indicas does not like be watered from above. The Hindu Kush plant gave an insane amount of buds. I spent yesterady for 4 hours in trimming it and the weighted amount I got is 1,300 g of trimmed fresh buds. Today I have to trim 2 Hindu kush and 2 afghans more. Mae, I do not know what to do with that amount of weed. I would like to give a way some for people in need (chemo treatment patient etc) but does not know how to reach them....

I have about 15 clones and they are reaching 1 feet already. As tehay are indica dominated varietes, expcept 5 thai haze x skunk, I'm afraid that they will not survive the rainy seasons mold attack. All my clones are in pure coco coire (coco molido) and they grow like crazy. I feed them with wormcast thee and localy sold fertilizers as needed.

The thai haze I have from the seed is flowering and looks like a christmas tree. It's now 2m high and is budding like crazy. It seems to take longer. Anyone knows how long it might take ? I have noticed that it likes not to be in direct sun, so I had it under a saran -screen.

I ahve also two unknown bagseed sativas which are flowering since the first week of february and no end at sight. Don't know what they are and they seem to be very low on thricomes compared to thaihaze. Must be some local stuff as I saw few weeks ago a pice of news where the local police officer commented on the sized plantation in the southern region stating that the local weed is not so potent and hence it is mixed with the colombian weed in order to puff up the potency...

Yesterday's trimming gave me a ball of 10 colones coin-size finger hash. Smoked some and got couched !!!

Well it's early mornig and got few more plants to do..will post some pictures later...

Keep up the good work!

Hey New RanDude look at it this way. Virginia is not so bad when you consider that you could have wound up in Cleveland.

And consider youself lucky to be in Virginia. I couldn't even get to first base with her.

Goodmorning, Blessings.
Just wanted to catch up a little while things are picking up here at work, jeje...kinda sucks not have'n internet at home, jejeje bet alot of you couldn't imagine a world with out internet in yoru very home, jeje what you get when you live out in bumfuck C.R, shit I can't even get cable tv...be damn'd to pay direct tv, in all honesty I don't watch much, but internet would be nice jeje...high off my ass you all might see.

Had vacations last week, was nice. Took the family to a near by beach for the week and finished it off on my birthday jejee started celebrate'n 4/20 on 4/19 jejeje and if that wasn't enough, spent the day with a good friend too. Thanks Tom, that pipe has had everyone in aww, but not just for the pipe man, for hang'n out with us and help us move around a bit....jejejejej realy hope you got that tire fixed was a real trip too see the back tire of a car your ride'n in speed up passed you race'n for its freedome. Just real greatfull nothing horrible happend jeje and like e you said jejee a few knocks with a rock and we where back on the road jeje. Hope your trip worked out for you too man.

New Ran jejeje man if it were back in the day i'd be able to hook you up, ejejej had dealer friends all over, after all a friend with weed is a friend in deed. Things down here are getting scarce...I cut in december and just got high all the time and kinda took for granted the larg harvest and rolled fatties all day jejejej and didn't start plants till mid feb. the present ones and as you might see there is about a month left before the first cut....jejej SUCKS!!! Ive still got 2 containers left, so just pipes from here on out, and jeje yeah i've got a few started already, wasnt gona make the same mistake twice.

Breezy,
jejeje awesome ! realy glad you took the time too, wow jejej and got to admit lots of us here are old friends from back in the day at Overgrow.com....jejjee as I draw a trear...miss that site still ! If you have any questions feel free to ask, and if you like to share anything please do, honestly we all learn from each other in the end.

Jiva,
Afghan, Hindukush....jejeje names to make a mouth water, and knumb your sences jeje excelent ! please if you have time share a pick of some of those finished buds, hindukush and other kush plants have drawn my attention alot as they are indicas but with a diffreent bud and plant patern if you get me. jejej bet they are all just suger coated goo !

If you don't know how to properly store away a good part of that you could also turn it into hash to not have so much on your hands and in your home...jeje but you got to admit it was fun trim'n it and see'n all that on ya table, Sorry to hear about the mold and the forced harvest but still sounds like you got a great harvest. Water from above...jee only seen my sativas dance in the rain man, indicas with their fat leaves get all heavy and look sad when wet, but you can't controll everything in life jejeje learn that the hard way. Good pt about weather be'n off this yr too. VERY TRUE.

Charlie had once shared a Thai x Haze with me....jejeje man I had to cut it back 2 or 3 times...con machete en mano !! jejeje and even then it didn't give an honest finish, always somewhere there was rejuevenation. Still...jeje was a nice high and taste. 2m, jeje good luck with that, specialy if you got an on coming wet season.

I use saran to, but Tom made a good point, I used green because I figured it would through off the shape and color of my plants...but he remineded me what was so obvious and right before my eye...Plants are green becuase the refelect green light. If you put a green saran (shade screen) your take'n a valueble source of light away from them too, its best too use Black saran he siad...its logical, jeje felt like a dumbass too jejej "ta ta ra"

Sativas normaly won't add the trics till later on, don't cut those down yet I hope. Honestly i've found some great sats that didn't show so much trics but when I touched them it was almost like super glue and real realy oil like resin with a super stick jejej some of the more visual highs...can't remember if the high was long or short though.

jejej Wally you got lucky man....digg'n that was some hard work, but its done now. I need to find out about the best tarps I can find, even then though talk'n to Tom and an uncle of his they realy recomend use'n dobled chicken wire with cement. Said a good shell can hold an incredible amount of pressure and not rip my dogs go for a swim. I was think'n to put in some Tilapia, or some trout since where I live its cold too, but then they 'd be the only thing I d be able to have...as if I use the asian, koi, carp, gold fish, fan tails, lion heads ect, I can use many more types of fish and sizes, even small tropicals too so there would be moer diverce foods and craps jeje even ph for that mater so plants might benefit more. and I'd get to see more, but not eat any fish (koi and karp are just full of spines)

ya'll take care now ye hear,
Chaman

ive done a lot of swiming pools, ponds, waterfalls, and rivers in my days working with "theming".

if u want ur pond to last forever - there isnt really 2 ways around it - the fact is the high-quality pond tarps work realy well - but they can get pierced - even though the material is thick and strong.

my best tip to u is to use rebaring for the mainstructure, with chicken net on top, tied with metal wires, and all this with a good layer of cement and after coated in waterproof MORTAR. use mortar for water reservoirs or pools - also known as "mortero kola". basicly its silica-based mortars that are 100% water proof.

thinking of what might be easiest to find down in Costa Rica (i remember the hardware stores in cobano..) i would just go for the rebaring+chicken wire and cement - to finish it off - check if u can get the same mortero kola that is used in swimming pools.

really not much complications - but u got to decide if u want this pond to be there for ever - or only for certain time.

if u want to get rid of it - its definelty easier to get rid of a plastic tarp - than a solid cement and rebar slab.

anyway - im going to do a pond, river and waterfall setup wich finishes in our pool when time comes.. its not the same to do construction for ur self as for clients :D i think im going to let my imagination loose with this project - when i get time :D

basicly man. if u want just give me a shout if u have questions regarding this, pumps, pluming and other crap related to artificial structures and water. :D

Oye Bone ! thanks man, realy is kind of you.

Figured the first thing I need to do is think that out real well....forever or for now. Seen that after Tom showed me some land....dude think'n sell this almost 800square mts for a good sum, pay off my loan, jeje credit card and bro i'd have enough for like 2000x2 mts even more, plus make a new house of decent size...jeje dreams, go out there and farm, and only 30min away from Pharmacys where my wife could work too.

rebar huh, well hope not too thick a gage and the tie'n and all is easyenough, just wonder'n how far apart would you space the rebar ? basic frame work is logical then grid it out, but not sure of space'n. Also my cusin keeps telling me to put a drian in it. which would mean i'd have too well dig a whole lot more and figure out a natura decline... jeje or just pump it out instead of back in with the water fall, just hook up a whose and take it to the green house, garden, trees jeje you get the idea till I can get in there and do some cleanning or repairs if need be.

Need to figure out how many gall's it will be to find the proper pump, if its got a good enough water fall it wouldn't need extra airation would it ? figured if so a few power heads here and there could even make a week current inside while given better air.

I've made it so I've got 3 good "shelfs" at 3 diff depths for dif size fish and stages of life, the deepest the biggest. Plan on putting in real nice landscape and cement benches and even thouse solar powered garden lights and a few colored lights here and there maybe a few lights in the pound for smoke'n at night drink'n some wine with me wife too...torches go out man, wind can be a bitch jejejejej need fish that can take the cold, or spend alot on heating jejeje so I can snorkel around at night too lol sorry got high agian....well hey, reay awesome you can give me some tips. Please give Bud our best bro too.

cool & calm
Chaman

a nice waterfall with lots of movement does aireate as much as pumps i think.

rebar - a bout a foot (30cm) between each is enough - i mean the soil beneath is packed and will act as suport from beneath - the rebaring will be just to keep the basin intakt. a rebar with the diameter of 1cm is more than enough. make sure its in the midle of the concrete or cement layer.

i really like the idea with the lights :D

i thought of ages ago of having fish ponds too - its a nice idea with natural hydroponics using the pond water to filter thru sand and gravel that u can grow pot or what ever in :D

one idea i got for my "river" design for my setup - is to have a few deep basins that u can use as "whirlpools" or mini jacuzzi's - just adding tubes for the air and a nice air-pump.

let the cement/concrete settle well before u start putting on the water-tight layer of mortar - that way u can let the eventual cracks develop during the drying and the fill them up while u can see them.

(here the heat and sun makes it almost impossible to dry concrete nicelly in summer - u have to constantly hose it down for a week or more, cloudy cooler days are the best - quick drying makes cracks)

anyway - its a hard job - all that cement etc :D take it easy mate :D

peace

did some home work, was check'n dem liners man they can come out prety exp, for example this one thats 25'x25' at $240 was like wow...and that seemed small too me, so looked around some more and found this formula.

(Length + (2xdepth)) +10%
(width + (2xdepth)) +10%

and then read'n more that sand isn't enough, ya be need'n a Pond Underlay too taht protects agianst roots and underneath rocks and such. This too comes out exp.

Not to mention a roll EPDM at 3ft spare will wiegh about a pound something....25x25 could come out too be a few hundred pounds and shipping that here jejeje damn.

So gona go home and measure this out. Gona then try to get an estimate of how much rebar and what dimensions the chicken wire comes in and try and estimate the metal, of and the wire to tie it all together. Once I know the size i'll see about how much cement i'll need, what i'm still not 100% sure about is the mix, how much sand to how many shovels of cement per wheel barrel and will it all set together in one peace even though I mixed them seprate and layed them down at dif times or would I be need'n...read'n about the Motter too and keep'n it wet, i'll ask around here too see how much a black latex or cement sealent will cost...sure a 5 gall bucket will cost a good deal, but the good thing is i'll have a chance to ask to see what size rocks they can sell me, need alot of huge big bolders jejeje then smaller rock to fill in walk way and around benches, my favorite stop is far from now, but its gona be the nursery and the fishstore !! jejeje long ways from now...least the whole is done.

Filters are exp. WOW, so def gona have to be spend'n some time clean'n it then pump'n out half the water and refilling every other month, jejej unless I can telaport my greenhouse over it, set up my hydro tables and let my plants filter it 24/7 on an NFT system I made jejeje pump'n water under ground all the way there and back would be a wallet and back killer indeed, but a pump to a whose and a freshly rolled fattie jeje i'll be water'n happily....just wonder how long a 1" pvc fully opened with real good strong water pressure mostly at night would fill this thing jeejejeje

Gona have plenty of shade to reduce water evaporation, but gona need to be skimming for leaves alot to avoid nitrate build up specialy with out a true active mech/biological filter.

Realy looking forward to this project, jeje just hope I can aford it....doing it by parts would suck

Cool & Calm
Chaman

B

bonecarver_OG

sometimes doing things in parts is the most economic way :D but yeah its frustrating for sure.

maybe u can use it as a pool untill u get the fishes ;)

if u are going to mix cement - u can use 1:3:3

1 part cement, 3 parts sand, and 3 parts gravel

peace mate :D
