Habibi's 08 Outdoor

hey everybody, its about that time of year again and i got a couple nice things going on, had to make a little compromise but still look to be golden.

looks like im gunna have 8-9 plants outdoors and a few in two dark room tents i have going to make some fun crosses and f2s. also had a nice 10x10 room built but i still havent equipped it yet so that should be some fun as well.

alright now for strains we got from rez (first time buying seeds by the way) dsd and snowdog. i popped all the sam skunkmans original skunky haze and thai haze x skunk freebies, gave a couple away so i hope i got at least 2 females of each 1 for an outdoor tree and one to cross with those strawberry diesel f2s. also got 2 dabney blues and 2 ogres. all the clones are going outdoors and the from seeds ill have a little of each outdoors

outdoors we got ourselves 30 gallon wood pots filled with FFOF and the good old ground cleared and dug out properly. in one tent im running a 600 watt lumatek, everythings in soil.

let the madness begin

Good to see you back around, Habibi! You had some impressive things last year, I'll be watching again. I'm a bit north of you, around 37, but can still have some fun outside. How many are you sticking in the ground? And what ones?

thanks everyone for checking out the thread

fisher15: ill be throwing all these outdoors. 3 dsd, 2 dabney blue, 2 ogres, and one of each of sam skunkmans original skunky haze and thai x skunk 1.

im good for 50 amps in a 10x10 room so shit should be quite interesting soon

Nice...so you're putting all those in the ground? What about the pots? And what are your thoughts on the differences between a large pot and in-ground? Last year I had some in 15 gals and one in-ground sourD that yielded by far the best and had the biggest nugs. Going to do six in-ground this year I think...

4 plants will be going in ground, the others in pots.

the in ground plants always seem to yield better if the ground is quality soil and you dug it out prior to planting. the pots are 30 gallon wood (wood is best outdoors as it actually breathes) and will be holding the dabney and ogre

remember the bigger the root mass the bigger the nugs

update

update

quick update for all of you following my grow.

i put the DSD's in a 12/12 tent to get em to show sex, once i find the 3 best looking females ill throw them out in the dirt and flower the rest indoors. im hoping to plant them in mid may

the closest tray to the camera contains the snowdogs which are all doing great, these arent going outdoors im gunna make more seeds out of them and hit a few indoor dsd females with the snowdog pollen. the second tray has a mix of sam skunkmans thunk and original skunky haze, once they sex one of each will go outdoors. the 4 plants in the big pots are dabney blues and ogres theyll be going out in the next week or 2

Sweet spread, love the tent idea... wish I had enough security to pull off the same...I cant wait to see how this turns out!

thanks everybody for checking out the thread.

heres the update, i added hydroclay as mulch to keep evaporation to a minimum in the containers. also starting to bend the inground plants for about 5 days a piece then giving them a day or 2 to straighten up. that will continue until they are good and bushy, i dont want them growing over that fence

i do have one more plant that will be going out, either an original skunky haze or a thai haze (sam skunkman freebies), im still trying to decide which i want to see outside, let me know which one you guys would like to see maybe that could help me to decide

both these dsd's have been bent and topped as well to see if any difference in yield

this one is only being bent no cutting will be done

the two ogres

the two dabneys

let me know what you guys think and if you have any suggestions on ways to improve.
