For a grower whos got 25 30 plus grows under the proverbial belt n can look at a few decent photos of a flowered plant....let alone a thread of em from day one.... n know what the plant or a multiple of them are going to yield likity split........its easy to tell whose lookin ..beggin for validation n whose got their shit together aka self confidence enough to tell it like it is......
BUt for the vast majority of growers breezin these threads.... it aint so easy....n so they give a lota these guys posting grows with fantasy yields the benefit of the doubt when they post the outlandish numbers we see so often........

Just to get my garden caught up, I pulled around 8oz (my lucky number apparently) from the aero. What I learned is to stick with the NLxBB for yield in my setup. The 6x Mandala #1 were a total of 3oz while the 2x NLxBB was 4oz. Im going to maximize the NLxBB pheno.
The NFT has proven that it can grow plants. I will post some pics when I buy some batteries. Clone selection and good roots are key for this pheno. Probably key with any pheno?

beautiful plant .. congratualtions on the grow....... Buut.. sittin here lookin at some OG laying next to some pretty spectacular NL cross buds.... I got $5 that says if ya get some OG Kush .. throw 3 of em in a 3 gal container n weave em together during veg...... you'll never grow another NL cross again..LOL

I dunno. Ive been very happy with the overall results of this genetic. Ive grown out numerous strains, including a couple Mandala strains and they just don't measure up. Kush probably isnt a great strain selection for mersh grows outside of Cali. Long flower times, lots of stretch, relatively low yields, etc. A heavy yielding, solid potency plant is better suited for my system I think.
Speaking of which, in a couple weeks Ill be starting a new monocrop grow as Neptune suggested. Ive avoided posting much while I get the NFT totally dialed in and I know exactly how to treat these NLxBB for max yield. It's gonna be pretty damn impressive! Stay tuned!

I feel ya on that....once ya got a strain dialed in ..its a lot more fun growing...... looking at your posts... i found that YOU and I have grown a lota the same strains.....INcluding NL? BB........
NL..theres just so many positives about that strain and as a foundation for building great hybrids...its hard to beat NL... probably MOst of the top yielding AAA hybrids out today have a NL in their heritage..........
BUut ya may wanna re think again on the KUsh .... the points ya made are true about SOme of the store bought kushes... BUT there are some Clone cuts out there that break all the sterotypes you mentioned .....
Take OG? for example... I got the TAhoe cut ..so this may not be so with other OG clones or Og from seed.. but .growing it outside ..we weave three of em together in a 4 gal pot....n throw em outside in the winter Florida sun after veggin indoors under 24/7.... pulling Very decent yields off ..if you can tell by the photos... unbeatable weed.....
The bubba is another improved strain...... the clone i have is straight outta Humbolt .iand ts another contender thats NOthing like what many people have experienced for years when growing Bubba...
... She takes about 3 minutes to trim.... Dank spicy yielder...8 weeker.... AAA.. that grows itself.... cured for a 4 weeks ..she will hold her own next to any hybrid out there.... Except of course....OG ... LOL....
check out the gallery n you'llsee what imean.. got a shot of some AAA dank .. set next to some OG... tells the whole story.

Well you and Neptune asked for it so YOU GOT IT! What we have brewing now is 27 NLxBB under 1800w HPS at close range. Here's some pics to get yall back into following my grows. Btw, they were taken with a camcorder so no flash = HPS coloring.
Holy Transplant Shock Batman! This strain/pheno always suffers from really ugly transplant shock. If I hadn't grown it a bunch of times I would think the plant is dead lol
But its not! 2 days later. Ive figured out how to avoid such bad shock next run so hopefully this won't happen anymore...or at least not as bad.
I installed the clones in the big topfeed/NFT hybrid first then installed more clones in the smaller aero a few days later. The hybrid system plants got a week of veg and the aero got 4 days. Here's the spread two weeks ago right right after it was filled and still in veg.
They have been in flower for about 11 days and here's the spread as of today. Most of the plants have had the bottom 4 nodes removed but not topped.
Here's one I topped (1 of 4 total) for experimentation purposes. Due to height restrictions Im hoping I can keep them a little shorter with topping. Never know till ya try right?
Overall, Ive gotten the systems dialed in to near growing perfection! Stay tuned b/c Ill try to update more often. Be safe all!

blackone - Yeah that shock is pretty nasty at first but it can be avoided if I make sure the clones are watered as soon as they are installed. That one went about 4 hours without water while I filled up the system. The spacing is so that I can grow larger, bushy plants or taller slimmer plants. There wont be any light loss once they are bigger.

250 - yes get a 600w! I started out messing with a 400w and the difference is amazing.

Some pics from today, Day 21 of flower. The buds are poppin up real nice.
The taller ones are about 20 inches. The canopy is a bit uneven in spots but nothing that concerns me much.
Here's the topped plant from earlier pictures. Im thinking Im going to top them all next run. It keeps the stretch manageable and brings up the lowers nicely. That's why we should always experiment!
Budshot. Ive been using a product called Bud Start (from Holland Secret) and its GREAT! Its got some sorta hormone in it. Add it to the res at start of budding and 5 days later:
The aero side. My only real gripe about fence posts is the roots grow so well they have already grown into the res. So far no problems but Im watching them...
For anyone curious, I run Floranova Grow and Bloom, Hydroguard, Hygrozyme, fulvic acid, Liquid Karma (during veg), and Cal-Mag. 900ppm and proper ph range. Be safe all

Hey yall! My camera broke so no pics, sorry. This current run has taught me SO MUCH! I think Ive finally "got it". However, Ive also learned that I still have some room dialing in to do before the next run before I can officially claim "dialed in". Im going to put the lights on lifters, relocate the Vortex, pick up a small AC, etc. Ill keep updating toward the end of this grow, hopefully with some pics next time.

Hey all! Hope everyone had a happy and stoned 4/20. I know mine was lol. OK so its time for an update. Many changes have been made to my room. Most you won't notice from pics but Ive added a 5000btu AC, put the Cooltubes on lifters, moved the fence posts closer together, big 28gal res, etc. Ive finally got everything truly dialed in!! 
The biggest change, I think, is that Ive decided to ignore the NFT portion of the NFT system and stick solely with the top feed manifold. The growth rate has been impressive so might as well stick with what's easy and what works. The last crop yielded about 1.5 pounds which was ok but I had some issues (fixed now) so it wasn't as successful as it could have been. So here's another round of my reliable NLxBB clones on Day 14 of flower. 28 plants.
18 or 19 inches tall. Vegged one week from 5" clones.
From the top. Budsites are starting to come in. Ill hit them with a bud booster in a few days.
Taken right before lights on.
Here's the aero side of things (top two white posts). They were vegged 4 days from 5" clones.
Morning sunrise Time to wakey up ladies.
Couple individual plant shots.
Things are coming along splendidly! They are going to be quite large. Since I got a working camera again Ill update more as things progress. Be safe all
