hey guys..this an awsome thread...and of course a very interesting plant..
Easyrasta!? you couldnt wait??lol.
Next week im cutting 5 trainwrecks im giving them 10 weeks...hope it´s enough for high quality smoke.
They are a bit strechey but resin production is amazing....mine didnt get very chunky cuz i only gave them a few days of veg,and i had some low temp. probs..But can say...amazing plant!and fantastic smoke!
A friend of mine harvested 100 grams just in the central bud!! :rasta:

hope 10 weeks is ok, huh silvrhaze (soil i presume)? TW is great smoke at 7 weeks! I mean, it's known for being early. I haven't taken it to 70 days ever, but i'd be a little worried about male flowers, as they usually pop out of buds as you go beyond 55 days. Here's one i just cut at 59 days (sealed/hydro). This is the first time I had no male nanners on TW, guess i did something right. FWIW, i have never seen pollen from the male flowers, but that's what i would be worried about if it went too long.

Vaped some fresh TW for the first time in ages yesterday...nothing else like it! So glad i revived this strain--had to reveg a clone off a fully flowering outdoor TW, but it worked perfectly.

Yeah thcv! soil indeed...but it´s true..i think i saw a little male pod somewhere..but only one i hope..i´ll be cutting it soon,so...
But thanks for the tip..i did not know the arcata was fast in the flowering stage.

oh hell yeah she's fast in the flowering stage. i guess the real issue is that she gets completely frosty and stinky within a month of flowering, and then fills in after that. But because of the early frost and smell, you can cut early and maintain bag appear, but with smaller buds. The high from an early cut TW is heart racing to the extreme, panic weed for many. So it's worth waiting 8 weeks for it to mellow out (some), but you could probably go 6 if you were in a hurry.

hiya guys

i got some pics from my trainwreck.they arent as fat as i would like, but there frosty.
like i sed before,i had low temp problems, and i guess i should´ve give more veg time to my clones,i think the root structure wasent that developed...so they are thin.
The central nugg is almost non existent, but the bottom nuggs are kinda normal.
They are at there 9th week, and turnung purpulish under the fan leaves, and trics are milky...
Better luck next time,right?

I got the e-32 from the creater himself so i know its legit.

I use to get Train Wreck over 14 years ago and it was bomb back then and its bomb now.

Im not sure when it was "created" but I would imagine its over 20 years old. Is the E-32 a train wreck hybrid? I cant imagine that the original breeders of train wreck are still working on the same strain over 20 years later.... but meh I guess odder things happen. :rasta:

My cut will throw nanas if I let it go late into flower as well. Unmistakable smell, ripens super fast, grows like a vine, cant keep a branch standing up without support, thin tasty leaves. :joint:

I just wanted to post that Trainwreck has always been known in humboldt as a premium product. When I was a kid, growing up, we'd get TW or what some people called 'Trainwreck 56'. It was always so strong that you'd trip. It was rumored that TW56 was pot+meth at one time, but I later came to understand that it wasn't.

Always amazingly potent, always a high energy smoke hitting you less than 2 minutes after you hit.

SilverHaze- i can definitivly say that is not trainwreck. Maybe a cross. It looks more like bubba kush. Wreck doesn't purple. And the OG wreck doesn't herm either- that's the other cut. The e-32 is the original cut dating back to circa 1981--82. Maintained through seed stock. 42-56 days max. Nice work y'all.

I'm a huge Trainwreck fan and was so happy to find this thread! 32 pages of history and bud porn. I just chopped my first TW and can't wait to try her!

Slightly off-topic, but when you guys cure for over a month, how do you keep your nugs from getting too dry? Mine seem to turn to bud dust after being in a jar for a month.

The climate when you first hang the plants helps alot. The right climate you can hang plants in a shed or whatever for over a month and they will still be dank.

Try to slow the cure down. Make sure when you hang them its a very cool and dark place. If they are crisping out to fast then put them in jars and burp them.

Maybe your letting them get to dry before you jar it, or there just drying to fast to much.

Practice makes perfect^^

Im usually the opposite, keep it to dank and start to worry that I smell a hint of mold

very pretty OG... prolly came down before anyone else out there too eh :) lovely cut that twa :) shake it ez :bongsmi:

Would LOVE to take the Arcata cut outdoor. Such a miraculous plant. There is a great article out there in the WWW from a PhD outlining all the history and medical benefits of Trainwreck. I know it works wonders for me as a chronic back pain reliever, pleasantly tailored with a great day smoke. Been in CA for 30 years now from what i understand. I think the Arcata cut is clone-only.

9-10 weeks

9-10 weeks

Trainwreck can flower for 9-10 weeks... no problem... she keeps drinking... and beefing up... tossing many bananas out... all sterile though... no seeds!
