ya man u got i monster on ur hands. theres lots of bud sites, cant wait to see wat u can do with a good strain. ya if u switch out 3 of the 6 bulbs to 42w 2700k CFLs u will see a big difference in bud size an weight, also them bud should frost up a lot. just remember to keep the heat below 90F. anything above that will make the buds really fluffy an hert your yeild an strength of the buds.you could try the 40watters on that site link u posted they wont put out as much heat( very little difference but helpful)an put out the same lumens. good luck

I picked up 4 30W 2050 lumen Cool White CFLs tonight. I left two of the 23W daylight bulbs in place. The new bulbs are much more yellow/red in spectrum. Temps are holding steady at 77 degrees with the lights on. We'll give it a couple of days to see what happens.

Thanks Casual for the Pm, Im going to keep looking, while I complete some other aspects of my cabinet. Ive just acquired a wardrobe dresser, so Im thinking of just using my small dresser for clones and maybe bonsai moms if I can get that figured out and then use the wardrobe as my bud box.
Again thanks and ill keep looking for viable cfls.

hey CO, lets get an update....with pics.....please.hope everything is going good.

im glad you went with the 30 watts, i use four of those and one 42w for flowering myself, and 6 daylight bulbs equaling 132 watts. can't wait to see the update.

The change in light spectrum caused the flowers to go nuts nearly immediately. I changed the lights out midway through the light cycle a few nights ago and by the next light cycle the flowers were swelling and starting to produce trichomes. I expect that over the next couple of weeks we're going to have a fun show here. Here's a few fun pictures I took while watering tonight.

Thanks again for all of the help and encouragement along the way. You guys are great.

there we go, thats what we want to see you'll be :rasta: in no time from those babies. Mine are getting larger everyday, and are about 10 days from seed now...unfortunately one of the babies is drooping far too much...so we'll see what happens. im running the new cheese feminised seeds btw. should be interesting to see what the finished product of those will look like.

hows it going? did you get anymore improvement on the triches? she frost up at all?those 2700k should really help with that. that is one bad motha fer u got there, how tall is she?really cant tell from pics, how long are the buds? got some donkey dicks?

Replaced a couple more of the 23W with 30W 2050 lumen 2700Ks. Temps are still holding in the upper 70s so we're doing good. Took a couple of pics to give you guys an idea of what kind of size we're talking about here. Most of the buds are of this size. I think flowering time is going to be a bit longer since I just switched the lights over to the 2700Ks. There are definitely some trichomes starting to build up on the buds and leaves. I think I'm going to give the lower growth a haircut pretty soon. There's quite a bit of undergrowth that is starting to wilt due to not enough exposure to the light. There's a lot more to go in this show I have a feeling.

looking great, i also forgot that the 30w's that i run are an extra 50 lumens...good to know :bashhead: I may be mistaken, but are some of your hairs already turning orange/yellow? or is it a slight burn? or could it be....my poor eye sight? haha a little clarification would be nice, but they look so much happier with their new sun in the sky....this is going to be like a show you want to end really badly, but its going to take a bit :lurk: ill be watchin

No burn here. Some of the pistils are turning brown.

Today we're at day 40 of flower but I think things were slowed down significantly by the lack of proper spectrum lighting. We'll see how things go from here but I'm pretty much expecting an 80+ day flower.

I gave lower foliage a trim last night so that I'm not wasting plant energy on matter that isn't getting proper lighting anyway. Things look a bit cleaner now.
