I used to frequent the Ra shop in Mandeville. Have known the owner, his brother and their father for a good while..... I grew up in the same area as them.

He has done very well with that business in the last few years, with recent openings in Hammond and Metarie, along with the Baton Rouge and Slidell stores, plus the original Ra shop in Mandeville.....

Yeah... I'd say he's doing alright.

He's saying the same thing... ridin' in the Hummer blowin' a Fatty.


As far as smoke in the B.R. area.....
Im near there, and have several friends that live there.

Only thing they can find is schwag....

I always have much better smoke than they find on the street, but I do my own thing, and hopefully I'll never have to pay for overpriced garbage ever again.

Being self sufficient when it comes to herb is where it's at!

really? hell after katrina I was seeing shitloads of bud. had my choice of all different strains and qualities. it was all over. a year later and it was dry as hell though. I had to quit growing when katrina relocated me. (got roomates and it ain't my place) but with all the good weed I was thinking hell this won't be so bad. a year later when you couldn't even find red brick I regreted that statement.

lol. ya think I'm kiddin? dealers were sellin me pot in MRE (meals ready to eat) bags from the soldiers givin them away. by the next summer though. all the good herb was gone.





BR has a lil bit of herb in it. there is some trainwreck there now, and some beaster. but mostly schwag. bad schwag too

I don't like the Ra shop though. I try to avoid it whenever possible. we call it the RApe shop because of the crazy marked up prices. not to mention louis or whatever his name is has screwed over a few of my friends over nonsense. (refusing to pay for work they did), and he used to chase 16yr old girls around too. He's older now and I don't know if he still does. but when he was doing it he was still WAY too old to be messin with sophomores in highschool.

I hear his brother with "go big" skate shop is a pretty stand up dude. but alot of people I've known worked at the Ra, or worked for him, and just stories around about him were never any positive stories. I only go there if I need a pack of screens or something.

Since people seem to think highly of his brother but not him I figured the stories were more than just gossip.

yeah the scwhag going around is what i posted. They had some I guess you would call them commercial knuggs going around wasn't that strong had a little bit of crystals tasted great got you high for a little bit, but earlier in the week there was some sour-diesel haze going around that shit was fire. It went just as fast as it showed up. Kinda funny had 2 different friends tell me about this bud they had, one friend tells me it's sour diesel the other friend tells me it's haze I smoke with them both (two separate occasions about a day apart from each other)they have the same thing. I go online look at some pictures I see Sour-diesel x Haze it looks exactly like the bud we smoked.


No comment on the Ra Shop other then I will agree with the marked up prices.

After the Katrina was the shit for me though. I was making ALLOT of money from that schwag because it was so dry around here. 100 for an oz. It was. I was doing that also putting Oz's of schwag in those bags. I couldn't find good bud anywhere because my Vietnamese friend moved to Texas where they were getting all this awesome bud.

Also Ra Shop I had a couple friends work there and would just trade bud for glass. Give them like a half oz for like a 300$ bong. It was awesome wish it was still like that but allot of them quit from there and moved on.

As of BR some commercial bud should be flowing through there from someone lol.

As for Louie.... I'll just say that I stopped patrionizing the place after I overheard (from an employee) how much they mark up everything. When I calculated how much money I had been screwed out of... Haven't been back. They do have some pretty glass...though.

I found some bud over at a friend's that he said was Shark Shock. Nice dense buds, but they looked like someone had rubbed em with some 60 grit sandpaper!
When you broke it open you could see the crystals....but the outside looked like shit. It's not worth the money they want for it.

Don't trust all people what they say bud is. The only way I know my bud is legit because it's only coming through 2 people. First one is my dealer the guy above him gets it straight from the Cali grower. Sometimes it comes from Canada, but its not that often. Very rarely it every comes from Oregon or New York.

I wish, I'm a little further down the food chain. That's a main reason I'm trying to grow. Just skip everyone all together and have my own stuff maybe even sell a little, prolly just end up smoking it all though....

Samehere. If I had my own house I would make a room and split it in half.
One side for flower and one side for veg. And get a qp a month and thats all I need for me and the gf. I wouldn't sell anything at all. Maybe just maybe to some close friends but other then that keep it all to myself. But the reason why I'm growing just because I like to watch my plants to grow. If I had enough space to provide for my gf and me. I wouldn't be paying for herb. Which I hate doing.

unless you grow more than you could smoke in quite a few months, you will smoke it all. trust me on this, i hoard my buds soo bad haha. good bud is addicting. you get that fully flushed, meticulously grown taste in your mouth for the first time and you can never go back to mersh. mmmmm delicious.

Man, don't I know it. I'm looking into methods for continual growing (like not as much but get crops sooner), Sog, Scrog, ... I start a new job soon so I won't be just sitting around all the time smoking, that will definitely help.

If anyone is ever in Down Town Baton Rouge and wants some pizza and beer come check out Schlittz and Gigglzes on Florida and 3rd, I think. They should be open within the next 2 weeks. Might be for a bit younger crowd though for you older folks. It's owned by the same people who own Walk-Ons, Roux House and Happy's Irish Pub. Walk-ons during LSU games pulls in the most money out of any restaurant in Baton Rouge flat out. That place is a madhouse.

Was that the god bud? If so did you make a diary because when I get my seeds I wanna get a cola that big.

sure is and ya i have a diary, you've commented in it haha. you can surely get colas this big, just keep it simple. dont overfeed, it isn't necessary for bulkier buds. using Botanicare keeps it real simple for me. i didnt keep a close pic log though because my access to a cam was sporadic. i have a cam now so updates will be more frequent. i have some Budosia (G13/Knight Templar) 11/13 from seed in there now, i guess at about 40 days or so now i think. dont think ill do 11/13 from seed again, i have enough height to veg about a week and yield would be better. more Budosia and Godbud seeds in the paper towels too. cant wait to try this Godbud though!
