Hey Bongosaurus - I could get more space by measuring and building to fit in my closet. I picked this one up on impulse and it is a bit narrow.

On the other hand, I think I paid $59 and definately could not build it for that price including door hardware.

In my future plans, I want to make a false back on the cabinet and build a better air intake/light baffle so I don't have to hang the ducting out the back.

On e-conolight they have a 150w hps for under $40.00 anyone know if there is something wrong with the light that would keep me from replicating your results red?

they have some for cheaper than that too! I picked up two of the $20 "vapor tight " 150w hps. Besides an extension cord and some electrical tape, i used parts of the whole thing to make my remote ballasts.

Just read through the first 5 pages of this, and I have to say, Red you are one clever guy. Really learned a lot in a short space of time. Credit to your grow box, its tight mate, and I'm sure that you enjoyed working with it.

I've started a grow with 2 toy boxes lid to lid to veg my babies up, then putting them into a gas canister box, which is around 24x16x32... so not as high as yours, but I figure I'll have about 16" to 20" of grow room, but they are Northern Lights and the packet said they only reach 50cm... if thats true, I'm cool with that!

I have been using 2 x 80mm fans (one in, one out) on my toy boxes, and will move to 120mm on the cabinet (I'm thinking of LSTing and scrogging the 3 plants I'll have to leave in the toy box). The cab will have 150w HPS so if it gets hot I can either put in a vent in the bottom and blow in cold air, or, as in your design, use a glass sheet, which is way shit 'ot me thinks.... :D

I'll get my grow online once I get some batteries on my camera to transfer to my PC... lol

Hi redgreenry.

Just been reading your ventilation guide.Really opened my eyes - thanks.

Sorry to butt into your thread here but i'm too 'young' to send PM's and like any impetuous youth i need answers now darnit!

I'm planning a Dr.Bud style Micro SOG in a small cab.
I would really appreciate if you would take the time to read over my plans and perhaps point me in the right direction airflow/ventilation wise - i plan on making a similar carbon scrubber to the one used in your R2D2 and also i'd like to seperate the lights from the plants as you suggest in that thread(i recall?).I hope to use 12v axials for minimum noise - i'll be sleeping in the same room as the cab.

Here's the link to my thread http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=131624

Once again - Sorry to start rambling in your thread, poor etiquette i know - i just wanted to go direct to the source of the knowledge.

Thanks

DC
