well it's been a few years and my dozer skills were rusty...

got it flipped back upright but she needs a few quarts of oil now.

note to self, stick to the sour diesel before operating heavy equipment and save the double og chem for after work...

Glad you're ok, very useful equipment but also deadly. How did it end up flipping on its side?

Peace

it was cold here and the trailer had frost on it, was sitting on a slight sideways grade when the owner lifted the blade to back it off it just slid sideways off the side.

it was really easy to flip back on it's tracks with the excavator.

in the end it slowed things down enough for me to figure out a better place for the hoop that can be filled with truckloads of dirt from a big pile about a mile from me which is the new plan starting tomorrow.

going to dump enough fill behind my buildings to set it up about 30 feet from my door which will be dope AF.

about 20 tri axle loads pushed off the left of the grass down the hill and the hoop will sit front to back between the tree at the left and the big hemlock which will come down.

I'm a little jealous over here...... well..... envious hehe.. I want a little dozer like that for my property but man they are hard to find around here and the prices are insane. I need to do some landscaping and bush maintenance on my rear 1/2 acre and one of those D3C size machines would be exactly what I need plus a smaller backhoe unit.

anyways..... here are the fruits of my labor from greenhouse 2023. Some preservation work and some crosses. The second pic are my first attempts at using STS so I reversed the OGKB 2.0 and made a few selections.
Got lots to sift thru now ;)

Amazing array, if you desire a test of any of these, I would be more than obliged!

Did you find the sts to be any less effective on outdoor plants?

I too would love an excavator for home, but round here you could buy a home for cheaper than the excavator. I have to settle for leasing for a day or two. You'd be suprised how much brush and earth you can get shifted when the clock's ticking and you are determined to get your money's worth!!

Peace

yesterday we went to my logging landing and piled a bunch of soil to move to my greenhouse pad.
the hillside there is eating a shit ton of dirt. I love moving earth.

there are boulders so big the dozer and excavator can't even begin to move them that we started scraping the tops of here.

this one he barely managed to push...

waiting for them to get back here and start trucking it a few hundred yards at a time to fill my gaping hole...

hoping to turn a few of the big trees I have into lumber this summer and get started on a treehouse or tiny house...

my gaping hole is a little over 25 acres... and it's filled enough now to build my hoop.

27 times they repeated this, took another 4 hours.

now I have to finish emptying the old house and the next time they can knock that fukker down!!!
22 years I been dreaming about getting it burned and buried.

DSC_4497.JPG

48 years ago I was in a tiny plastic shack with 8 plants that a friend from school was growing, attached to the back of their chicken coop and I've been dreaming about growing in a greenhouse ever since.

make your weed dreams come true while you can...

my best xmas gift, a 30 yard roll off to empty the old house for tear down and to dispose of a couple decades of indoor grow equip that has been clogging up old rooms here.

yesterday I pulled apart a bunch of my 2 light room from back in the day...
2.0 rooom.jpg

this was the light trap I built over the window, worked great with a 12" carbon filter to the attic, I got a bunch of old 12" filters that I need help carrying downstairs now.

DSC_4504.JPG

so happy to get rid of a bunch of old grow shit. and have one window uncovered, 3 more to go in the big room... shit ton of old tents to carry out still.

I been over here quietly freaked out while I waited on a cancer biopsy but just found out it was negative.

I hope your treatment goes well Star, it's shitty to have it hanging over your head, wondering what's next...

trying to decide which flowers to trim up for valentines day, thinking Triangle Kush, Cherry Pie, Double Og Chem and ECSD.
