Lovely @xtshoa pleasure to meet your Thai Chiang Mai girls in flowering!
If you have the hance, would love to know more about each female, resins, terps, flowering times, etc ..
I will make sure to document the flowering times and will be able to determine the resin visually. The terps however are more difficult. I won't be doing any lab testing. I'll do my best to identify anything that is prominent though. I will have a few friends give me their impressions as well. Everyone wants some of the Thai when it's done. I should not have told them I was growing it.
Now I have to share it.There is not much smell right now and it's going to be at least 6 - 8 weeks before the plants are done. Due to the colder growing environment they probably won't be putting out any significant smell for another 4 weeks.
I have it so the temperature doesn't drop below 18°C / 65°F. But there was a week that it was cold 9°C / 48°F. I'm sure that slowed things down. Probably stunted the plants but that might have been a good thing considering I'm growing in a 4 x 4 tent and don't have room for large plants.
In the back of my mind I'm thinking of Epigenetics. I pollinated the reproduction plant during the cold period. I wonder if the environment will have any effect on producing a more cold tolerant Thai strain.
Would the environment during the pollination effect the flowering time for the plants that grow from the seed?
Can you slowly turn a long flowering strain into a short flowering strain by modification of the environment during the reproductive phase of the plant?
I have more questions than answers.

Hi @xtsho you can adapt a line by selecting the specimens that perform best in the new environment, that's what has been proved so far, nature can also do it after long periods of time.
One thing is how environment affects the genotype => phenotype.
But epigenetics (something over genetics that changes genetics) is fiction for science at this time.

I'm happy to say I received my Thai (Ace) and Kerala Chellakutti (Khalifa) seeds a few days ago and can't wait to start the new outdoor 2024 season Both strains are too long flowering for my climate, but I want to cross them to my Zamaldelica / Kullu crosses to see what comes out, hopefully something with November harvest. This season I'm planning to grow a few small plants to make hybrid seeds indoors and then reveg to hopefully harvest some immature sinsemilla outdoors in the autumn. Will post photos of the Thai here!

Congrats on your Thai Chiang Mai harvest @El Timbo such green expressions of resinous, big calyxes usually carry later very nice psychoactivity: bright and energetic without ceiling, and without heavy body effect or heavy landing.
I don't remember a late autumn-early winter so hot and dry in our area! And you are right, the wind has been terrible and constant for weeks. Next time i would recommend you to transplant to slightly bigger pot after early flowering is over. Tropical plants (and this works for all photoperiod outdoor plants grown in pots) finish in that way much more green and healthy, producing higher yield and better quality flowers. Light contamination is also always a handicap, and most times is unavoidable in terrace grows of urban areas.

Start them at 12/12 and pretty quickly flip them to 11/13. Mine are stretching like absolute mad right now, even at 10.5/13.5.
I keep trimming tips and bending/tying them down and they keep throwing me the finger and racing towards the lights.

I got cocky and put 7 of them into flower. There’s zero space left in there now and it basically has become a giant scrog of super unplanned insanity.

Haha sounds like unpredictable adventure. Ive never done a scrog before but im guessing this strain calls for it. Please keep me updated. Id love to see how yours turn out. You too Keif Cake
3 gallon will produce a nice sized plant for sure.
These Thai x DCT certainly didn't start in 3 gallon pots, and arent now. Maybe 2 gallons of soil each, with room to uppot in same pot other than the orange pot and it has a 4 foot plant
