Hello friends,
I just came in from watering today and all the girls are happy. I took some pictures just random buds here and there.

Hello again friends,
While the above post from my Baglung female isn't a frost monster as some judge quality of cannabis, unfortunately. I prefer to wait until after curing and sampling a few grams stirred into a cup of yogurt.

Myself am not impressed with a single bud shot and placing the value of a body of work by one bud shot. I prefer whole plant shots because there is no hiding from the information a whole plant picture can share if you are looking.

There's no hiding plant structure, node separation and overall plant production when you show the whole plant. I don't sell seeds but I like the accountability of proving what I say about my plants isn't a bunch of smoke and mirrors.

Looking great! Thanks for the budshots! Plants are purpling up, has it been cool at all lately or is that just genetic expression? Would stay moderated in the greenhouse I'm sure if not too cold. A little bit of seed in some of those early ones, but there will be plenty of seedless to go around I'm sure. Plants have reached the top of the greenhouse, hope the condensation doesn't mess with you. Could you just lean the plants over a little bit after you water to get them to not touch the ceiling?

I like what you said about getting whole plant shots and not just going off a budshot, because the plant shows a lot the genetic background, growth and development, vigor, and traits that could be linked.

Hey all please celebrate with me. I raised enough money to purchase 5 Cold Caps from Paxman the cancer treatment manufacturer. When I told them of my charities work to support their companies product as a gift for women with breast cancer.

They wrote back and said they would pay for all the treatments of the next five women with breast cancer at our local hospital. All I can say is Praise God Thank you Jesus!!!
Thank you Paxman !

Thank you all, I have had several wonderful people stop by this thread recently. I'm greatly humbled that you find what I do interesting and some have said important.

@shiva82 I make a special shout out to. Some people do good things when they know people are watching. It's a very special person when they do a good thing and don't seek credit or proclaim their deed from a soapbox seeking accolades.

Shiva82 is certainly a person of integrity and great character, it's my true honor to call him my friend.

Hello friends,
This morning the girls had Strawberry, Cherry and Blueberry smoothies before their watering . Only two to three weeks of flowering time available. Some will be done before then but I might let them go for the sake of seed maturation.

The Purpura Regina male x Blue Thai females have put on some weight in the last few days, another 14 day with decent weather will help them greatly.
Here is some pictures from today. I used Sea-90 with Humic and Fulvic Acids, strawberries, blueberries and cherries.

I will start defoliating the plants that are doing to get harvested. If I was doing a partial plant harvest I wouldn't defoliate and just take the upper buds. One Auto Zamaldelica is looking good top to bottom. So I will defoliate the entire plant outside of buds just to speed up initial drying. While the plant is still standing. It will hang in a heated ventilated drying room while initial moisture content is purged.

I haven't decided which plants will be used for hash yet, but I know for sure the Baglung is getting jar cured and set aside for friends. That one is special and I can't wait to smell burning. My lungs can't take the smoke but I might have to endure a cough fest anyways.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

Hello Ace family,
My goodness did I enjoy coffee with the girls. I looked over several buds on each plant and every site observed had very nice trichome production and coverage.

I don't think outdoor greenhouse plants are the varietals of genetics that you see in some bud only pictures taken in darkness with a flash for that perfect moment. That said if Syd was taking my pictures for me , they would stand up very well to kind scrutiny.

Many seed pods look like tiny hail stones. Some seed pods are splitting and the seeds are beautifully mature and mottled. Removing the male from the greenhouse early and collecting pollen was certainly the right move.

Having thousands of under developed seeds in your buds is a pain in the ass and pointless. I put orange zip ties on the branches I seeded later with pollen. I will get a pack or two of seeds from those plants.
Have a wonderful upcoming week my friends.

Hey mate,
Love your thread, been lurking on here for years but only signed up fairly recently.

Im a soil grower myself, and the smoothie method seems like a fantastic varied treat for the microbes.
How often do they receive this sweet nectar?

Also, forgive my ignorance, do you use this on your indoor plants as well as your outdoor/greenhouse?

I’m thinking of something similar for my indoor ladies…

Many thanks, and have a great day!!

Getting close to finish, but still a couple weeks to go. Is there some type of food you could feed the fungus that has some nitrogen? Leaves on some plants are yellowing and it would be good to minimize any deficiencies. I would think legumes would be high in nitrogen. Grind up some green beans or any type of bean pods in the mixture and strain it before application.

May help keep the plants fed without disrupting the experiment with top dressing. It may be too late to matter now though. Its about harvest time.

I only pollinate until about a week into August to minimize the impact to the flowers. They still produce a lot of seedless flower when you do that. If you pollinate too late, it almost stops new flower production to focus on ripening the seed.

Looking forward to the hybrids next year! Are you going to feed the fungal repositories again next year for the plants? :smoke:

GreenestBastard,
Thank you so much for dropping by and posting.

Yes I did this indoors one season and immediately it showed me the potential for this style of growing. I went to my bank and said I needed money for a home improvement project. She said that's to much paperwork here's a personal loan do what you want. Big smiles, thank you I will. A phoncall to Farmtek and a 12' x 20' tunnel was on the way with a nice propane furnace that never was installed.

Moral of the story is be careful what what you ask for. You might end up spending a chunk of change to peer into this rabbit hole.
Peace brother 🙏

Yes Pipeline I will do the same thing each season. As you look at the plants and the chlorophyll pigmented values it's a little deceiving as the Lebanese x Malawi genetics have two distinct phenotypes. One is a lime green and one is a dark green expression.

The plants have been on a similar feeding routine. The Malawi genetics and the Lebanese genetics are both relatively light feeders. They have actually been being fed a little on the heavy side. The Purpura Regina male x Blue Thai is a heavy feeder and is just now fading along with the dark pigmented Lebanese x Malawi f1's. The Baglung Nepalese is a medium feeding plant and the Anthocyanins in all three expressions are showing. Even the Lime green Lebanese has a slight purpleing of the chlorophyll depleted leaves.

Those leaves that are yellow and drooping in the morning are pulled. The yellow leaves that are still rigid/praying pointing upward are kept. They're still serving a purpose in the plants chemical and phenotypic expressions, I don't know exactly what these purposes are. I do believe that they add to the overall quality of the salves, tinctures, oils , hash and buds that I harvest. I'll show pictures in the next two posts.

Hello Ace family,
Here's pictures from this morning. The first two pictures are of the lime phenotype of the Lebanese. I did increase their Sea-90 Ocean Minerals for a feeding that is in three day increments as the volume of my 65 gallon tank that I water from. I premix then add to the tank and mix thoroughly again.

This helps me stay consistent with my feeding schedule. I also add to the Fungal Repositories feedings as I'm making them to tailor specifically for each bags needs. A one size fits all feeding regiment as in commercial grows is a very poor option going back to automation and taking things for granted.

Just because something is easier doesn't mean it is always better.

Hello friends,
Things sure start moving along. I'm finishing upgrades on my 1895 washing/Hash machine. I sealed the inside with flex seal and it will get a second coat tomorrow. All but four of the bags will be getting banana smoothies tomorrow the four bags will be getting harvested. One Baglung Nepalese, two Lebanese x Malawi and one Mother of Pearl will come down tomorrow.

I won't water those four bags and after the others get smoothies I will remove all leaves from the four to help start the drying. These four plants are mostly cloudy trichomes and the Baglung Nepalese I found one amber trichome while looking over the buds today.

All the pistils are dying back and there isn't any new growth. I will have one dairy barn heater going in the drying room just to keep the humidity down below outside humidity. I'm so excited for curing and giving out Christmas gifts again.

Now that I can use, I will certainly have plenty on hand for a personal stash. Have a wonderful week my friends, happy harvesting.

Hello friends,
Very overcast and raining through the end of the week. I won't move harvested plants to the drying room in this weather so they will just stay growing in their bags.

This isn't ideal weather for harvest and certainly won't help drying. I'm not worried about mold at all as everything has great ventilation, air movement is the great equalizer.

I do have the Mother of Pearl female to bring in yet, she won't get any water until she is harvested. I will continue to defoliate the harvested plants in the drying room.

What’s your plan? keeping some flowers and then hashing the rest? ✌️
I'm trying to dry one of each as they come ready to harvest. I want to find the best smoke first and give some buds out to friends. The Blue Thai x Purpura Regina is coming on strong but I'm not expecting sunshine until Tuesday and Wednesday. It might be to little to late? She/they certainly are not ready to come down yet so the Chess match continues.

I brought the top 3' of the Baglung Nepalese inside to dry in a more controlled environment. I might bring in the rest depending how these go through tomorrow afternoon. If I can get them ready for Mason jars within a day or two I will be happy.

My friends aren't strangers to the curing process and everybody has a personal preference. I think 3 months is just getting started and others have empty jars by then. The extended forecast is for 3 more days of rain.

I won't move plants in the rain, but I don't have anything that will be ready to harvest by then anyways. The Blue Thai buds are filling out quickly and feel pretty dense. They're about 50/50 Blue Thai and Purpura Regina. The Purpura Regina is about 30% Thai Genetics and the Blue Thai is 50% Thai genetics. This doesn't make 80% this gives you a good 40% or 4 out of 10 plants. The three I have are very homogeneous in structure and expression.

My hash machine will get one more coat of Flex-Seal tomorrow and it will be ready to go. I'm anxious to try the Mother of Pearl. I should have brought in the top couple feet of that plant as well. I have several deer out eating corn I just put out. All the mommas bring their babies down to my place as it has been a nursery for over a decade for the little ones. They are safe from bow and gun hunters here.

I will post more soon.
