Eating a fermented pickle.

Saltwater brine. No vinegar. Crispy and delicious. You can't buy these at the stores. Have to make them yourself which is fortunately extremely easy. Salt, water, and cucumbers is all you need. I added some garlic and fresh dill along with some horseradish leaf for the tannins to help keep them crunchy. This jar went fast. Have another one I just put in the refrigerator and starting another tomorrow.

baked a pork loin tonight. rubbed it down with extra virgin olive oil (it kinda stiffened up. is that normal? :D) then sprinkled it with garlic and onion salt, black pepper, and some brown sugar. 400 F for 10 minutes, then dropped it to 350 F for 45 minutes. had sweet taters with butter and brown sugar on the side, then made home-made vanilla ice cream with Grape Nuts cereal soaked in the milk beforehand to soften them up. outstanding!
