Do guns kill people? Or do people kill people with weapons?

The Mentally Ill mass murder people using guns made for war. The USA has plenty of Guns.. It's the laws that prevent us from using them to protect self/others when needed. The bad guys don't care about laws, they carry them as they wish. Only those that follow the law are at a disadvantage.

The world watches the crazy out of control Democrat run cities go up in flames. This is not a country wide problem but an urban problem. What do you expect of people that have been on welfare for 6 generations? it's all gimme an takiy.

They are still dead by guns !
i'm just trying to show you the bigger picture:
More guns = more gun deaths

You seem to just want to harness this tragic problem to perpetuate the usual culture wars right/left urban/rural .. and whilst you continue to do that people will continue to get shot and killed.

and how's that working out for the USA ?
Theres the way it should be and there's the way it is. You need to remember this isnt Britian. Much bigger country, much more poverty. Much different demographics, gangs, meth freaks and all that fancy shit. Almost everyone i know has had their home burglarized at some point, myself included. It puts an uneasy feeling in you that never really goes away, especially if you were raising kids. Dont get me wrong i believe in gun control, within reason, but as far as this pipedream about gun laws fixing the crime problem well were way past that over here. The cats out of the bag and nobody's going to give up their arms, especially the criminals

Guns are not going anywhere ,people continue to complain about them is pointless . Two things would happen if the government managed to remove all guns from registered owners (never going to happen) the criminals would go wild ... their would be no stopping them , they dont care about laws they dont care about prison they dont care about dieing . #2 people would import guns and manufacturer them in basements . Yes I know people will respond well my country doesn't have guns well u are not the usa , we will always have guns it's in our culture ,we do t give a chit about what's illegal vs legal as soon as people start obeying all laws we could end up like European countries or Canada . They arrest people for words on the internet they use cameras to send people traffic tickets the laws and rules they have are ridicules, the lockdowns during covid it's almost like communist rules and the people support it and from the outside looking in ITS FREAKING NUTS . I think people just pick out things to bash the states out of jealously guns/ health insurance, I've never understood the health insurance arguments from other countries. I've never paid over $150 month for insurance and if a job loss occurs the government offers free health coverage/food stamps /money even the homeless on the street get monthly checks , ever try getting professional homeless person to a shelter or take a job ... they wont take it and why would they ... free food free money for drugs free shelter if needed free health care if needed . We have a spoiled rotten self entitled mental health issue in the states not a gun problem. People in the USA with mental health issues would just stab/ poison/make bombs to replace the guns removed from legal registered owners because we are a nation of spoiled brats that just dont give a chit so the gun arguments are a waste of time .

And if they didn't have guns then what would they use? That's a pretty stupid argument. People been commixing suicides since people.

Just more attempted shaming right? Never mind the Progressive Canadian government sponsors suicides and is begging people to off themselves.

Look at this, Chicago Black on Black shootings for the week.....

And if they didn't have guns what would they use? It's not the guns that sits there and says use me on yourself. WTF how ignorant can you be??????

So it's rural suicides. So it's hand gun suicides.

Why the suicides?

@RobFromTX i agree that the cat is out of the bag and that its hard to see where you go from here.... but i think the point that
more guns = more people getting shot
is a solid one and that is the bottom line. Ive been chatting with Americans about this for years and it's clear that it's a big part of you guys' psyche and culture... probably take generations to sort out.

And yes, its true that inequality is greater in the states than UK but we are catching up lol. inequality is a major factor for sure... but there just isn't the gun culture/normalisation here so the kind of people who would carry guns tend to carry knives instead and a lot fewer people die because its much harder to kill someone with a knife.. you have to have the guts to physically fight them rather than just stand at a distance ....

You singled out suicides and said they 'shouldn't count' !

Its perfectly logical to me that someone who MAY commit suicide is much more likely to do so if they had the speed and convenience of a handgun right there... so the fact that the statistics show exactly that is unsurprising to me :
from the link -
"“Our findings confirm what virtually every study that has investigated this question over the last 30 years has concluded: Ready access to a gun is a major risk factor for suicide,”

It's not the whole culture. In fact I have read that 90% of voters want gun laws improved. It's the other 10% doing all the complaining. Coincidentally it's the same crowd that prefers driving gigantic trucks with big exhaust and has no worries about the environment or other people's quality of life. Just as long as they can be oblivious super consumers. If your gonna choose to remain dumb you sure as hell better have enough guns to protect your way of life.

Think about it. If you wanted to live in a society based on lies and consumption whole disregarding science and others. You would want more guns too.

That's your take.

Why the suicides? Would they stop if guns aren't around? Is it really your business? Is not the government partially to blame with their policies? Should we regulate government? /S

LOL they are taking the guns away from Canadians and helping them with suicide.

Those are not the trucks I was referring too. I understand the difference between getting a job done and compensating for something.
