Chasing The Present
Gambodian?
Correct; in process is

Gambodian x Gambian (done)

Gambodian x Cambodian / Laos (close to done)

Gonna hit each Cambodian too with the Cambodian / Laos pollen shared with me, and also with the beautiful Cambodian 2 x Vientiane 3 male as well, thus creating a few iterations of 66.7% Cambodian Regular beans, or fairly regular - this is SE Asia after all, the Laotians Laredo brought back are nothing to scoff at either…. Just wild AF, need a Lion tamer yo…

Good thing I know one ;)

Couple weird traits this clone has...
Keeps yellow leaves throughout flower, wont drop them but won't green up either. have tried this plant in multiple runs and if i feed it more N it will burn, some calyces on this clone will turn brown before the plant is fully mature. When at peak ripeness some (maybe 5%) of the trichome stalks and a few heads will turn dark red (not purple)
I will try to take a macro if it happens this time.
Dead calyces make the flower have no bag appeal but it has such a different effect, i keep it as a novelty.
Gave some to a friend who is a well seasoned smoker and grower of sativas and he found the effect to be frightening. Basically pure anxiety weed but once you get past that can be kinda psychedelic in a twisted sort of a way. Sort of stimulating but in an "I've been awake for a week and cant get to sleep" schizophrenic kind of a way

Edit: one more peculiarity i forgot to mention is that she likes to drip sap profusely from her buds in the last few weeks before harvest and if this is not removed regularly the buds will turn brown and harsh during drying

Have you tried earlier harvested buds? Maybe a visual inspection of trichomes isn't the way to get the best result with this clone?

I have, and unfortunately when i harvested a week earlier the buds were lacking in flavor and effect. I feel like this clone is just a good example of the weird crippling peculiarities possible in hybrids. Though between the dysphoric effect and ugly look i'm not too keen on putting too much energy into figuring this one out lol, the puna jam 5 has a much more pleasant high and taste
