Some information about that very good question obtained via the source

How many marker locations does Phylos analyze for the Genotype test?

Modified on: Fri, 5 Nov, 2021 at 11:51 AM

The Phylos Genotype Test analyzes approximately 2,000 SNP/marker locations and benchmarks your genotype samples in comparison to other samples from the Phylos Galaxy.

How do you know which plants are clones?

Modified on: Fri, 5 Nov, 2021 at 11:51 AM

We use genetic similarity to determine if two samples are clones. Genetic similarity tells us how alike two samples are by comparing their DNA and counting the differences between them. Samples must be at least 99% genetically identical to be considered clones.

How do clones differ from siblings in an inbred line?

Modified on: Fri, 5 Nov, 2021 at 2:37 PM

Inbreeding reduces genetic variation and increases trait persistence. If a line is inbred, the siblings will have very low levels of genetic variation. Most cloning is in lines with higher levels of genetic variation. Cloning preserves the genetic variation and therefore clones can have high levels of genetic variation, but will be identical to each other.

I know how fervently everyone one is in defending their OG and as a wise man recently stated as long as you like the one you have that is enough.
The difference between OG in the list is 1%
For what its worth the difference between a chimp and a modern human is what 3% ?

:) so im taking that data with a grain of salt
A guy I know runs 100s of s1 at a time and once he gets them in s1 from a clone he says it a solid backup if you lose the clone
Not sure this answered the question but I hope it helps
@kalopatchkid well stated have to agree totally
I dont think phylos is able to differentiate between s1's and parent plants. Also, the provenance of cuts that were sent to phylos is totally unknown so a lot could just be renamed versions of the same cut.
very valid point

No matter the flavor of the month, I always go with the OGs. Here is a little Loompas Headband. I only hold 3 original cuts, the TK, LHB and PKG which has a bunch of renames. The TK is my favorite as its the most complex but the PKG is no slouch. Edit: Only reason i include the PKG as an original is because lmc on ig said its supposedly also called the so cal pure or puss kush, which if true then yea its old enough to be included imo

Also, that PK looks fire indeed. Is that the HPK or are you being literal when you say "so cal pure kush".

If you are being literal, what is your opinion on the the PKG going around as so cal pure? Looks a little different than yours. Either its environmental or its a different cut. Does your PK get rounded Bubba tops here and there along with the OG?

Edit: ok I see a different pic loaded now or maybe it was something on my end but I see a, full plant shot now thanks. Thats a winner lol. Nice work

That fire bx3 looks gas too. Thx for the link.

What do we know about the clone-only The White?

Krome: “My strain "the white" has no relation to white widow to the best of my knowledge. It's called the white for one reason only. The color of the buds when finished. Looks like they were just rubbed in confectionary sugar or something. The real name of the strain is "Triangle." Got the name from being a 3 way cross. Has nothing to do with location, as I'm far away from Cali and to the best of my knowledge, it was born and raised in my home town. The triangle kush is another local strain that's been around for years. I really don't want to get into its origins as it always seems to start a heated debate.”

Paradise Seeds' Sensi Star Description

Strongest Indica… The strongest indica you will ever encounter, Sensi Star does not lie! This strain takes pride of place in our collection and is the seed that put Paradise Seeds on the map when it completed an epic champions league double - taking the High Life and High Times Cups in the same year.

Since then this strain has continued to win awards around the world, in both bio and hydro categories. Improved in 1997 it is named ‘one of the worlds finest cannabis strains’ by cannabiscupwinners.com. Sensi Star has achieved over 15 cups in major competitions and is as popular now as it was in 1995 when we first released it.

Just what are the prize winning attributes of this old school classic strain? It is smaller than many varieties, fat and stout with bushy branches that carry dense indica buds. It’s a great plant, producing powerful and very compact buds, crowned with legendary amounts of resin.

The smaller size means this plant is good for all grow rooms, allowing the gardener to maximize use of space, performing just as well in soil or hydro (8 - 9 weeks flower time). The variety is bred to work well as a multi branch and is an exceptional performer in Sea Of Green and Screen Of Green (SOG and SCROG) set ups, where the side branches of these short and thick plants contribute to excellent harvest yields.

Outside too, the Sensi Star proves its outstanding heritage with a tendency to grow fat and beautiful bushes that sprout from the ground like new stars exploding in some distant galaxy. With a lot of sun, this plant will produce many, many buds, and is a big favorite down south, in regions of France and Spain. It also has fans in southern regions of the USA.

Expect colas that are rock hard and coated with so much resin they literally glow in the dark with crystals (which explains its ‘White Strain’ nickname)???. The taste is part metal, part mint and all sweetness. However, it is the effect that has put Sensi Star in the history books as one of the most potent strains available in the world. This variety is and almost pure long lasting indica, with THC levels recorded at over 20% in many cases. Although mostly indica, she retains a complex high that warps both body and soul.

Sensi Star packs a champion’s heavyweight punch, hitting the body hard and sending you sprawling on the couch. A sativa kick brings some vigor to the stone, providing an energetic heady edge that is uplifting in nature.

This strain appeals to old school and new schoolers alike and has become well known among medical users in recent years too for its super relaxation powers.

Kosher Kush, also known as "Kosher OG," is a popular indica marijuana strain. Kosher Kush is currently offered in seed form from DNA Genetics, originated in Los Angeles as a clone-only strain. Historically, this strain has neen named a winner of High Times Cannabis Cup’s Best Indica in 2010 and 2011, as well as Best Strain in 2011. The effects of Kosher Kush produces staggering levels of THC. The high experienced is typical of many heavy strains, producing pronounced relaxation and pain relief, with sleep often following close behind.

Reserva Privadas Kosher Kush Description

Logo Reserva Privada
Kosher Kush is an amazing strain out of California. It is stinky, over the top with smell and with an average yield making all who smoke it feel "blessed" if you will that they had a chance to taste her... Instantly any herbalist who tries her wants more.... more information and where to get more or the cut or the seeds!!!

Well, some background on this strain is a group of Jewish kids in LA were running around with this great herb and calling it "Jew Gold"... now in the upper crust LA scene this name was all good and people had embraced it..... Well we just couldn't get ourselves around the name and referred to it as the JG... well after time went on, we acquired a cut from the JG crew, at a price of course, and started to grow the JG in numbers and well... lets just say it lived up to the hype!!! DNA both are non-religious on every level and really don't have the desire to promote or not promote any race, religion, or creed... With that being said, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to turn the Jew Gold into the Kosher Kush!!! Keeping humor alive and trusting the cannabis community can handle a stoner name like Kosher Kush!! And most people would agree if somebody says "its kosher" it generally means its OK, not lets go to the synagogue ... So Kosher Kush was born... People are asking every day when are the Kosher Kush seeds going to be available and the demand is Very High!!!

Flowering time: 9-10 weeks
Yield: 450-550g/ m2

I got a 6 pack of Kosher Kush freebies from attitude when I first started growing 10+ years ago and they were so good. I've heard their seeds arent as good these days but to this day, that Kosher was one of the best OG's I ever found from seed. Super lanky, barely any leaf and killer OG flavor...still wish I had that cut.

Is your SoCal PK also go by the Suge PK or Puss Kush? Does it have super strong stems that don’t require staking?

I just grew a cut by this handle along side the SCMK and posted pics in that thread… It had more skunky og like nugs that are dense as hell. I’m not sure it the real Suge PK though based on old photos here.

No, this cut is typical lanky OG structured plant, stems are weak and need support growing under lights. I was told this cut goes by few different names - socal pk/pkg/ghost1 pk.

Edit: My mind is open, I have no illusion what happens in the scene with OG re-naming. I only passed the information that got to me, but the truth is, I really dont care what is the name of this cut. Its the powerful, up and euphoric, good vibes effect that matters to me. For anyone who is interested, you can get this clone under the name tag, that I mentioned. Unless someone grows the legit Malibu / Topanga (good luck..) side by side to this one, there is no point in speculating.
