All females?. It's a great ratio of fems if no males are found.

This is the front side of p53 project A5hbx x FPoint. This pheno has a nice haze structure.. Still struggling a bit with LED :( Finding info that works has been tough. Using a higher EC in flower doesn't work for me. I get too much tip burn using 1.1-1.3ec. I'm not sure if using a lower ec would be beneficial.

Has anyone ever had plants with only 3 bladed fan leaves on the whole plant?. I don't remember having any plants with just 3 blades fans on the whole plant. I've had plants with some but all ended up growing 5 or more after a good veg. None of these CPA plants have more than 3. A very unique trait.

Great reply Roy :)
I liked the stroopwaffel thing too ;-)

Love the sound of the effects. Sounds like what I love in haze myself.
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with your gear and glad you are sharing here.
Hope all is well,
I just got some free time and I need some help.

So the pedigree for my first cross is Quaze X Durban.

Then the second (Q x D) x Q

Then the third is ( ( Q x D) x Q) x Q

Then the fourth is:
( ( ( Q x D) x Q) x Q) x Q

I made sure it’s female first in all cases.

Is that last one a proper ordered pedigree for my 12.5% Durban / 87.5% Quaze?

Then there’s this one:
1st cross Congo x Kwazulu

2nd (C x K) x Durban

3rd ( (C x K) x D) x Quaze

4th ( ( ( C x K) x D) x Q) x Q

5th ( ( ( (C x K) x D) x Q) x Q) x Q

Is that last one how you’d write it for this 75% Quaze cross. It just seems like too many brackets.

Hey Passenger :)
I feel a bit silly for fixating on the notation for these pedigrees, but I'll take a stab at this one cuz you've got some interesting stuff going on there.

What you are doing with your Quaze x Durban work is referred to in cannabis circles as a back cross, and we use a casual abbreviation for that of BX in the community.

So, if you are seeking to reinforce the Quaze influence in a hybrid, you would take the F1 hybrid you made and in the next breeding, use the pure quaze as one of the parents.
(QxD)xQ could also be described as Quaze BX1.
If someone asked for more detail, you would say that the outcross parent was Durban
((QxD)xQ) x Q = Quaze BX2
(((QxD)xQ)xQ) x Q = Quaze BX3

You re-introduced Quaze to the cross 3 times.

On a personal preference note, you can kill most if not all of those spaces.

At some point, the complexity of a pedigree becomes so long that it really begs for a friendly name, or "strain name"
Maybe you are getting there with the (Congo x Kwazulu) x (Quaze x Durban)?
Using Nevil as an example, he had some pretty famous 4-way crosses like SSH and Mango Haze.
Good names :tiphat:

Did you really do both of those lines parallel? . . . reintroducing Quaze to them both, over and over again?
Man that's a LOT OF QUAZE :)

You never did answer my question about what the effects of Quaze are like/what you like about it.
With the constant Quaze infusion, it must be fire (y)

Hope this is helpful.
PS:
Like the term "BX", a lot of cannabis breeding notion has evolved in the outlaw market and is inconsistent with regular AG.
There seems to be an emphasis by some people to adopt all of the norms of "straight science" in our practices, but I kinda like the flavor of what we built on the fringes of society and personally resist the trend.
Lab coat boys can describe things any way they want :pimp3:
You can describe things any way you like too Passenger.
It's your thing. Do what you wanna do ;-)

Yes, I ran them parallel.

Quaze is a perfect palette because I love the effect, and it’s very stable. I back cross it in until there’s just a hint of the out cross also It’s physically very distinctive so you can watch it morph backward as you add it back in each cross.

I add it to something with a trait I like and It’s usually just flavor (and possibly flowering time) that I’m looking for. The Durban, Zamildelica, Cinderella XX and pamplemousse added some pretty amazing flavors. Malawi was kind of nasty at the F1 and there are other crosses I’ve done with it that I haven’t even gotten the time to grow out a single plant yet.
