Tell me that at least you are using 5 gallon BBQ size bottles of solvent, and not blasting with lighter refill cans.

I use these size 420 mL a piece .. It takes five cans for a typical run

Guess your happy with the whip-it butane. I read an old thread on canned butane impurities recently and whip-it seemed to consistently have some of the better/cleaner gas. Thanks for sharing! Looks like a blast
Use your vacuum pump to create negative pressure in the tube after you fill with herb and before you add butane. You will use about half as butane.
I believe there are other benefits from this technique also. But it has been years since I saw the video explaining it. It was a best value vacs tutorial of some sort.
I’ll have to check that out it seems counterproductive I’m trying to get as much butane in the tube in the highest pressure as possible
It’s roasting hot and this is Cookies preferred activity at the moment dozing under the fan
85...snort...it was 97 when i rode home yesterday!I believe the butane expands under in the vacuum. So it takes less butane to fill. And it prevents any channeling. I went from using 7 bottles to fill my tube to using 3.
Sorry I'm not better with the actual science. Maybe someone will see this and elaborate.

As for the heat, it has given us a slight respite: we have dropped to 40°C (104°F) daytime high in the shade, and 22°C (72°F) nighttime low.
My dogs live outside, and spend the day hiding in the shade of the mulberry trees.
