My triglycerides are like 500. I have chest pains throughout the day. Haven't told doctor. Taking Tricor/fenofibrate for the cholesterol. Anyone else have high cholesterol? Heard of fenofibrate?

I'm hoping the cholesterol med really works. Have had high triglycerides since age 25. Genetic I think.
Not sure what the chest pains are about but it lasts less than a second. I think it's dislodged plaque or something from the cholesterol med fenofibrate? Also have diabetes in my family...both sides. Don't want to lose a leg or toes. My A1C is okay at like 5.5.
Getting older sucks. To top it off my eye exam doctor said I had cataracts in both eyes that I might have to get surgery on in 20 years. Screw that!
I have to take a shot of Haldol 100mg every month. My mom said it was a miracle drug and "I'm back" and stuff but it makes me 40 lbs overweight. Feel like I'm wearing a fat suit. Dieting/eating healthy doesn't do anything. Even tried horrible wheat bread.

Ordered an auxiliary 4" AC Infinity ex fan from Amazon. They sent me 30 lbs of dog food. Suppose to get it today.

Out of 6 items I have ordered from them on Amazon or eBay stores (same source) they have screwed up two of them. They always make good but they need some new employees somewhere.

Other than that 40-50 mph wind gust today.....

Finalized placing the remainder of cuttings into 3" cube-style pots. Planted a smattering of Space Cake (Bodhi), Kashmiri Azad, and Soul Mate. Decided I needed to move things further along, no matter what the next bend in the road has in store for me.

May decapitate the remaining 2 mothers of satori (2 and 5). They grow easily, beautifully, productively, and with a very pleasant, somewhat unique attractive odor, but I'm limited in space for moms, and I'm even contemplating executing some of my 20+-year-old moms, too. We'll see how they do this next time around and decide at that time.

Younger son is back to not returning phone calls. Shredded his (tendon or ligament) in his knee and didn't think it was worth taking a few minutes to tell us about it the day it happened, instead telling us over 50 hours later. He's obviously oblivious to the significance and hurt these sorts of disconnect convey for us.

Shortly before that he blew up the motor in his SUV. A month or so before that he let a person drive his vehicle in suspect conditions, and she ran it into a head-on with a Subaru on an unplowed road.

After so many years in school, attentive to his grades and attendance, he's now let the one class he actually NEEDS in order to graduate, slip by the wayside. He has nearly 80% of that course to complete in 1 month and 1 week.

I'd say karma is raining down a bit in his world, as it is in mine. I know I've noticed the turn my fortune has taken. I'm wondering if he's noticed the direction his 'luck' is headed in? Karma: some days you have to dig to find evidence of it, as though it's nowhere to be found. Other days it can come down so thick it seems, that an umbrella seems a good idea.

Karma? I have given up faith in karma. I would like to think that there is a rebalancing of sorts, but the older I get, the more I come back to my hammer theory. You know . . . where you are trundling along . . . everything is good . . . you are happy . . . and then BOOM. Out of nowhere, some major shitstorm dumps on you. Watch the classic short vid Bambi Meets Godzilla. That sums up my philosophy of life.

I like the idea of Karma. But having lived for a while now I know it's not true. It's just another painkiller for the masses.

I think that guilt can get to some people though. They die a lousy death ... die rambling ... off their heads ...

So clean your souls boys. Apologise to those you've let down. You'll feel lots better.

And to quote a very wise bard . . .

"Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughin' as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you"

I want to do one of those DNA tests they offer on the web these days...ancestry.com, 23 and me. I have very narrow eyelids, especially when I'm high...but after a while not even when high. I'd like to know why I have eyes like that. Anyone else have "squinty" eyes? Do these DNA tests show native American stuff? My dad's mom was Irish, my dad's father was English. My mom's mother was Czech, and her dad was Swedish. Wonder where most of my DNA is from.

The cheap DNA tests will tell you very, very general info about where you were 10,000 years ago. The more you spend, the closer you can get.

And . . . you can test your Y DNA (paternal side). Or you can test your mtDNA (maternal side). Totally different info. And type of info. And then there's the Autosomal DNA test . . .

etc, etc, etc . . .

Btw I am a Viking.
