There was/is an IC member named Marlo who had a creative method for using vertical bulbs on a light mover for a very narrow (read: like a hallway) grow space. The light mover moved along the length of the grow. Instead of the lights moving along the length with the mover, he had it hooked up so that as it moved in one direction, the light on one end of the mover would move up and the bulb at the other end would move down. This allowed the distribution of light along the heights of the plants instead of the length of the grow. No clue if that's how others do things but it seemed pretty clever to me.
