More current pictures...
I do have some burnt leaf tips...

Or deficient? Either way, it's not enough to worry about. Especially if you treat it the wrong way and make it worse.
I get confused when I see very light new growth. Never sure whether its too much nutes, too little nutes or whether its nothing and the plant will grow out of it. 🤔

If the plant is healthy and growing steady otherwise, it's normal for the first 2 nodes on the tops to be more discoloured. The clorophyl levels are not where they should be yet. Plant is working on it.

I decided to do an experiment and wiped nute solution on a leaf that I intend to remove...

The leaf must have angled hairs on it.
The Q-Tip would catch on the leaf going this way.
I could grab onto the leaf and lift it.

The other way it just rolls right off.

The leaf that I wiped with nute solution...

Nice experiment. Looks quite different compared to the ca def spots, tho. But I think you used too concentrated solution for the test, cause we can see even the path you followed with the qtip on the leaf..

Yeah, and the leaf surface is kinda waxy and waterproof I guess?
It was kinda beading up.

I didn't want to spray it because I didn't want to get anything on the rest of the plant.

So, does calcium deficiency present itself as spots ?

I don't recall having spots, but I have had complete nutrient deficiency where the leaves ended up pale then yellow then necrosis.

I'm used to seeing burnt leaf tips then the serrations from too many nutes.

I generally mix all my nutes together and didn't really know which one was in excess or deficient.

I tried looking at the pictures of excess and deficiency of all the different nutrients, and had a hard time deciphering the differences.

I found another fungas gnat. This one was in the living room.

I'm not going to worry about them.
There's the odd one here and there and I'm sure that they have been around for probably years, but they aren't able to take hold in my planter.

I've just seen the odd one in the closet.

Did you say that you use some kind of bio-control or treatment on the medium in your closet? If you dont already, I would use the same treatment on all of your houseplants (and any bags of medium that are hanging around).

Good idea. I didn't really think about that.
I don't have any other houseplants but I do have a bag of seedling starter mix in the house.

I will at least seal it up good and check for leaks, maybe repackage it in ziplock bags.

This is what I used.

You're supposed to use it as soon as it arrives, so it's in all in the planter.
I did scoop some soil out of my planter and put it in my window plants in the past, but I forgot to do it once and they got infected with gnats.

My planter was almost empty so I checked the PH of what was left and it was at 6.51.
The new solution is reading PH 5.88 and is reading 953 PPM.

She grew another inch...

I'm going to start measuring the distance to the ceiling. It's a bit easier.

I turned up my lights some more.
They're now at 1210 milliamps.

I'm getting around 25,000 LUX all around the plant now.

Those predatory mites sound cool!

Those predatory mites sound cool!

And they last forever if you reuse the soil, or just a few handfuls of old stuff into the new.

You just keep them alive with a few old roots and the occasional bug.

No need to keep buying them.

My contactor seems to have fixed itself for the most part ?
I guess that it just needed more current through it to clear the contacts?

Dotty is still around. Lol

20211206_165042.jpg

The stalk appears to be a bit thicker...

She looks about 1/2" taller...

I checked the temperatures 🌡 and RH to see where it's at, at night.

There is a lot more humidity in the closet than in the house, so the plant must be transpiring quite a bit, even at night.

This is the one hygrometer after less than 2 minutes with the door open.

20211207_053957.jpg

I'm liking the way this is working out.
This is the first time that I've grown with the exhaust fan turned off.
That keeps the RH up and I don't need to worry about starving her of CO2.

It was mentioned earlier that mold is not a problem until later on in flower, and when I thought about it, I realized that was the case for me.

So, I will wait until the buds look big enough to grow mold, then turn on the exhaust fan.
That will bring down the RH to help discourage mold, and the plant will be well established by then and probably quite capable of dealing with the low RH and dealing with the change.

Being as I grew other plants with the exhaust fan on all the time in the winter, this plant should have no problem adjusting.

Not sure if it's from the pics or not, but your plant looks a bit too green in some pics, almost blueish green, so I think you are feeding too much N. And that will hurt your yeld. And may lenghten flowering as well!

OK, I will make the full switch to bloom nutes,.. that should help.

20211207_064432.jpg

I'm also using Sensi-Cal Calmag with pretty high N.
I have new Calmag that I haven't started yet with lower N.

The Sensi-Cal has added iron. Perhaps the iron brings up the N.
(I didn't want to buy a full bottle, so the guy put half the bottle in a 1 liter bottle for me. I don't know the ingredients.)

20211207_064354.jpg

I've also started with KoolBloom.

20211207_064408.jpg

Would increasing the KoolBloom a bit help?

It wouldn't decrease the N, but it would change the ratio of NPK.

I would keep an eye out for nute burn of course, and watch the tips of the new growth.

I've used 1/8th teaspoon for this past two waterings, and have a hard time deciding where I stand between a Drain To Waste setup, and a Recirculating system.

Ofc, I use high PK fertilisers to change ratios as well. You should have switched to flower ferts a while ago, in my opinion.
High N cal mag is also ok to use if you use the PK correcting fertiliser..

OK,
I found this about the Sensi-Cal Calmag...

So, I'll make the full switch to Bloom nutes (I was at 50/50 for the past couple of waterings) and I'll use a smidgen more KoolBloom (rounded 1/8th tsp.) and a level 1/2 tsp. of Maxibloom.

That might be enough to make a difference.

In my experience of messing with all the dials of the different aspects of growing, playing with nutes makes a huge difference, along with the amount of light.
So, I'll just make a small adjustment.

I was ready to switch to bloom nutes anyway, as I always do.

I'll take another picture of one of the fan leaves in the daylight later on today to try to get a more accurate picture of the color.

Daylight always seems to show the colors best.
