4X8 Mars Hydro TSW-3000 5 gallon fabric pots

New round of flowers in my 4X8 grow tent. I am ordering another TSW-3000 soon but will be utilizing my other 200 watt non full spectrum grow light for now. In the past I would only top feed during the process and saw nutrient deficiencies in the early stages of flowering. This round ended up amending the soil before the solo cup cuts were transplanted. I was out of Bone meal and Azemite which I usually add but will do next round for sure. In about a week I am going to be brewing a very simple compost tea that was inspired to be used by Cali Green and Mr. Canucks Grow on Youtube. Since the two of them strictly grow organic it seems like a no brainer to help the microbiology stay on point. Two of the plants are in 3 gallon fabric pots. These were the least strong out of the bunch. One is a Purple Urkle and the other I forgot to mark but it is one of the 4, I will figure it out at some point. I also took it upon myself to add to my love handles and make some cannabis choclolate chip cookies today. On to the photos!

This is what my mix consisted of:
1.5cu/ft of Groundswell (usually has enough feed from the beginning for over 4 weeks about)
8 Quarts of Lobster Compost
5 Quarts Worm Castings
5 Quarts Perlite
1.25 cup Rose Flower 4-8-4

The Strains:
Purple Urkle = Purple pipe cleaner
Kama Kush = Orange pipe cleaner
Blueberry = Blue pipe cleaner
Jack Hearer = Red pipe cleaner

Day 32

The photo from earlier was after top feeding with the VermisTerra worm castings, watering, and the light coming on. This is about 9 hours after the fact, the are all looking pretty happy. Time to drink a beer.

Day 34

Spent over 2 hours this morning defoliating the garden. Also watered them as they seem to droop a little bit after the shock of both. I had no idea how much time had passed I blame the purple kush chemdawg that somehow made it's way packed into my bong and then somehow got lit. I think in the future I am going to do a maximum of 8 plants harvesting in the 4X8, much easier to manage in terms of everything. I am debating if I want to do that this round and put the other 5 outside this weekend or move them over to my 4X4 and keep one of each so I can keep clones of each strain going. I also have a brand new 4X8 tent I need to maybe setup for these potential 5. Lots of decisions coming up.

Day 34

Big difference from this morning! Tent is around 73 degrees with 60% humidity. VPD is in the ideal range and I can start to see that the plants bounce back quite quickly when the environment is right. This morning the plants were a bit sad and this afternoon they are right back to business.

Day 36

Switched the timer over to 12/12 today. Watered the plants and also took 12 clones from this round. Checked up on the wedding cake seeds to see them all happy from last nights watering. Another 2 weeks in the tent and the wedding cake seeds will go outside.

Day 38 (Day 3 of flower)

Took a nice needed 1 day quick vacation to the beaches of Maine. Got back to see the tent is still in one piece. Tent was 77 and 55% humidity. Made sure to connect a hose to the dehumidifier to drain into a bucket. Had to tightened up the connection since when I returned the bucket in the dehumidifier was full and needed to be emptied.

Day 39 (Day 4 of flower)

I have been noticing that after watering the plants them seem to droop for a few hours and bounce right back. I am thinking the watering is to frequent but I also don't want the top soil to go dry and biology go dormant. Always a battle somewhere. Tent is at about 73-75 with anywhere from 55-60% humidity right now on. When the lights out the temps are 69-70 with 59-60% humidity which I need to get dialed in asap. I think I will rearrange the dehumidifier into the tent to alleviate that issue over night. Otherwise the plants are chugging along.

That watering frequency vs. Soil surface drying is exactly the reason to have some kind of mulch layer over your soil.
Looking great mate!

Yeah I am thinking next round white clover to help stop that happening. I will probably use some wood chips. Thanks.

Keep in mind that woodchips sequester lots of N when they start breaking down, then slowly release it over time.

Day 40 (Day 5 of flower)

Overnight temps and humidity were good. Low 70's with 50% humidity. Ended up leaving the humidifier on the outside of the tent and focused on the room getting to 45%, that worked for the overnight. During the day its 77 and 50% with is in the ideal range for the vpd. Plants seemed a little dry, I am gonna hold off watering until maybe end the day today or tomorrow morning. I do keep finding a few leaves that are getting munched on by something. I am thinking of getting some ladybugs since we have entered flower I am going to spray the undersides of the those plants really well today.

Day 41 (Day 6 of flower)

Ended up watering the ladies in the morning and cutting out the affected leaves I found on one plant and sprayed it with the neem oil water mixture. Otherwise the rest of the garden is ok at the moment. Checked on the clones and next round of wedding cake and all is chugging along.
