This thread seems very inwards focused. Whose got thoughts on Biden's effect on the international community? Specifically interested in your guys' views on the withdrawal of the US occupation in Afghanistan? My short assessment is it's a positive PR move from the US citizens viewpoint, but will have negative long term effects for the US powers in that region. Yet again another imperialistic failure of a war that makes America look weak.
Or what about how it now looks that the US still supports Israel after the recent report from Human Rights Watch that it is indeed an apartheid state, guilty of human rights abuses and crimes against humanity?

I definitely think a Russia/China alliance will take advantage of the US removing their forces, it's already happened in Syria and with China's silk road initiative, I can't imagine much US control in the area in the next few decades aside from Israel and I'd imagine the Saudis are going to side with whoever will make them the most money. I don't think that's a bad thing at all though, we've been involved in failed wars in the Middle East for much too long, we don't need a presence there. It's just been another long drawn out, overly expensive Vietnam and I'm happy to see it end. Would be nice to see more investment in the home infrastructure of America, less guns, more butter.

Just depends on how we count.
If any of us Americans want it to be otherwise we will have to force the change.
