there is a lot of information that was lost when i lost my thread on OG...most people wouldn't even know that now...then when i posted all that info on planetganja...it all got lost, again...for some reason, gypsy's site has kept on chugging...

i am glad that some info got left...i have it all in my head, but it isn't the same as recording it in print, as i have been checking online about the frost these past couple of days and have been hearing some interesting stuff to say the least.

then, if you see people selling seeds of the frost....you know what the intention was....so now everyone is on the same page.

that said...i will state this here. the Moloka`i Frost was never a strain known to anyone until i put it up on the internet, so anybody selling the Moloka`i Frost strain saying that it is a Hawaiian landrace strain and that they grew up with it are full of shit.

AFOAF gave the strain to me...years ago by now. it was one of his family's strains on moloka`i. his friend is my long time friend. we are still friends. it almost sickens me to think that someone would be selling this strain as their own.

well......i think i am done with the whole giving out seed thing.

i was known as the highhawyn! once...i'm happy that the frost came out.

if anyone has questions i will be here to answer, but as far as Moloka`i Frost seeds are concerned, i am not sure how you will get them. beware of people who try to sell the Frost as something other than what was explained here.

no frost has been fuely or anything other than what we have posted as truth on this site.

also, i started some of my mamma frost crossed with a couple generations of a frost male down the road and i am looking to make more seeds.

i will post pix, as i think i have a good spot this year for the long season.

this is just one of the many strains that area available here.

Damn. I wrote that in 2011 . I'm just on that page right now but plan to read a few more pages before i hiamoe lol.

I hope supposed seed banks that are trying to profit off of a name and strain that belongs to my friend's family know how much it sucks for me to see that happening. I guess the Aloha Spirit is only about making money for this person. Ok mai hanaiho i guess.

Alright, i started some Mamma Frost seeds (Mamma Frost x ~F3 Frost). I figured its about time to let the world see her again after somebody tried to sell her and claim her as his "family's" strain. Plluuuusssss I miss her I haven't had her around in a minute and I want to smoke her out She won't be your greatest commercial strain, as she takes long and does not put out the pounds like other strains, but what she loses in quantity she makes up for in overall quality. The smell after smoking the Frost is like florally incense. She is one of those strains that you can tell what people are smoking just by smelling the smoke. Flavor wise, she ranges from florally, to a slight fruity to almost sandlewood tastes. i've probably grown at least hundreds of Frost females over the years and most of them have these terpene profiles, with exceptions

i always open pollenated the Frost as i didnt want to focus on specific traits but rather have it blown wide open so that all traits are still available at the top, although they would be more widespread than if i had selected specifically and each grower would have to look for what they wanted. I just didn't wan't to possibly lose anything the strain could provide

There I go getting long winded again. Ok, that is from what I remember of her, can't wait to smoke her again. It's been a couple years since I grew her out last.

It's been a minute since I been on this thread I sometimes like to look back on it for nostalgia sake. I grew a bunch of Frosts out this past short season. They were all still the Frosts Same smell, taste. I still love her, but I have so many different flavors it's hard to just grow one. I was just slandered at another site, so I though I would come back here and post again how I feel about the Frost.

The Frost was given to me by a friend so many years ago. I still talk to my friend occasionally. I am thinking of asking him if he wants the strain back so he can sell it if he wants to, as there is someone out there selling the Molokai Frost and claiming all kinds of untruths. My friend is actually online now, over on IG, so I don't think it would be as far as a stretch as in the past

Aloha hawyn, that might be a great thing for him, to start selling his rightful seeds, that are already known by name worldwide... that might be huge for the guy!!
by all means do that and then itll be available and you might get kickbacks for helping develop and preserve it..

do you get all different highs, im going to read some of this older thread now, i had a friend who said he had it, but i wasnt sure what it was...

My friend came back over here fast kine, and I was able to smoke out with him and talk to him about the Frost. I gotta go over where he is living now in a couple of weeks and I told him I was going to take a bunch of what I have of the Frost seeds for him to sell or give away as he chooses. I am happy to have been a small part of keeping this particular strain alive and am even happier that I can give it back to the person who gave it to me all those years ago. My friend and his family are solid growers and are from Moloka`i!! I've been blessed with a few strains from them and have been happy to grow their stuff.

I recently learned and Kauai Electric were collected seed from Afghanistan crossed to Afghani#1 ,

And the Molokai Frost Originates from Kauai , Im sure it go's by other names on other islands i.e. Hawaiian hash plant ect..

I sent my original frost seeds back to original family on Kauai ...

My friend is on Instagram now doing all kine stuffs so i think that he'll figure out what he like do after i give him the seeds

He's the one that gave them to me all those years ago, and I kept the strain pure to itself all this time. Open breeding, along with keeping 1 out of 2 female clones that I got out of the 5 Frost seeds I planted for nearly 15 years, I think I have the closest Frost example you could find. Not to mention that there was no mention of the Frost until it was posted on CannabisWorld for a charity auction about 10-12 years ago. I'm happy to give it back to him, and will gladly endorse him as the person to go to if anyone wants a true representation of the Moloka`i Frost.

May be possible the frost is Electric vs versa , both "hash plants"

Flew over to where my friend lives now (Frickin Beautiful) and gave him pretty much half of the Frost seeds I had. I told him he should be the one making $$ off of this strain rather than let other people make it off the name. He's got all kinds of things going on, and probably doesn't need the $ he would make off of it, but that's up to him

I'll probably just grow a few Frosts now and again for nostalgia's sake. Right now, I have this plant that I made a couple cycles ago using an Archive Lemon Heads male crossed with ?? as I had about 5 different female strains going at the time. Anyways, I sowed a bunch of random seeds and was super super lucky that actually found (and kept) what I believe to be one of the top five best, if not the best tasting plant I have ever grown from seed! At this point, I have grown thousands and thousands of seeds. This one pretty much beats them all. It has a great terpy flavor, sour citrus, lasts through the whole joint, coats the mouth with tasty goodness and you can still taste the flavor on your palate even after the joint is done! I'm calling this one the Hilo Sour Hopefully somebody doesn't go claiming the Sour is theirs, but you know how this world works lol. I only had one plant of it last cycle, but I pretty much culled every plant in the garden and am running heavily with the Sour this cycle, I can't wait, shit is that good. I would say similar to the One Star (Lemon Peel) in flavor and profile, but different It took me a long time, but I think I finally found my Holy Grail
