Be careful dealing with Todd McCormick... not going to comment on the quality of his seeds, but he doxxed an IC mag member by posting their private email correspondence when he had a public disagreement with him. No way I would trust someone like that with my address and private information. Amazingly the one he doxxed is banned and Todd is still around. Interesting how the rules are applied here...

Yeah I saw all that as it went down, ordered before all that happened.
I might be younger than some the guys here, but I'm old school in the fact that I never use my own address, even after Virginia legalized home grow.
like I said on an earlier post, fake name on email account, fake name on anything I order, fake name on the payment processor. Sent to a fake name at address I don't live at.
But really none of that matters now, if they want to track you down they definitely aint gonna have trouble figuring out who anybody really is.

it's always something. Between taking care of my grandparents, and trying to figure out the emergency call buttons situation, and dealing with my plants, I'm getting stressed the fuck out.
And now I came upstairs and checked the 315 tent and the light was very dim.
I just changed the bulb a couple weeks ago because it wouldn't stay lit. I thought it was because of the bulb, but now I'm guessing there's a problem with the prism lighting science ballast. It's not even that old! Maybe a year and a half. I really really like this light and it's remote reflector.
I get the best grams per watt with this light.
I turned it off and waited 10 minutes and turned it back on, but it didn't light.
I turned it off and was going to let it reset and plug back in after 30 minutes,but then my grandparents hit the alarm button and I had to go deal with them. By the time I got back it's the night cycle.
So if the ballast is fucked that sucks. I either gotta buy a new one or say fuck it and hang a LED. I like the fc3000 but I do believe I like the 315 better.

I'm guessing it was just a bad light bulb. I got it going now,I just hope it stays lit.

I went ahead and ordered another fc3000 from mars. I figured it was time. I was having the probs with the cmh, so I ordered it thinking that if I get the cmh fixed I'm going to replace to the 600 w air-cooled hps in a 3x3.
I turned it off 2 weeks ago and I'm temporarily using it as a drying tent right now. After they are dry, I will install the fc3000, install the hydro system and fill with plants. I already hooked up auto drain.

Chopped down the 4x4 of the OHaze x PurpAl Bx1.
3 phenos Green bud that smells like haze, purple bud that smells like haze, and purple bud (that started out green) that smells like a mix of PurpAl and haze.

Well, I got my Mars fc3000 today. Fast shipping like always. But I specifically asked in the Mars hydro thread if any changes have been made to the fc3000, and I was told no changes, it's the exact same fc3000 that I already have.
I notice that the bracket for the driver is alot wider, and I'm thinking great, that's not going to fit on the light rails.. but no it will fit, it's just now there is a big gap between the middle two rails.
I'm sure Mars will say that this is the better version, buy you would think this improvement would be a selling point when I asked 2 separate times in their thread.

Life's been fucked up lately.
I'm caretaker for my grandparents and Grandpa had another stroke. He ended up dying after it looked like he was going to be ok.
On the day that he was to be transported to a rehab facility his blood pressure crashed and I had to come down and make decisions. Thank god he improved just slightly enough to understand what was going on, and to make his own decisions so my mom and I didn't have to.
it took three days for him to pass. About 18 hours of those three days were hell for him. I'll never get the sounds out of my head. Finally on his last day they started giving him enough morphine and Ativan to keep him drugged past feeling the pain of his broken back.
I was a opiate drug addict for 16 years.
I'll never use opiates to get high again, for the rest of my life, but I'm going to do everything in my power to get enough Fentanyl to take out my wife and I when it's our time. There's no way either of us could watch the other in that much agony.
Over the course of the three days they gave him a lot of morphine. Knowing what I know now, I wish they had just given all of it to him at once on the first day.

Now we are taking care of a grieving widow (married 70 years) with dementia.


Overall I was extremely lucky that I was able to have grandparents as an adult, even luckier to have them this far into adulthood.

I haven't been growing all that long and I'm definitely still learning.
so here's my next learning moment..
What the fuck happened here?

I'm guessing some kind of root rot or something.
I didn't check on them for two days and on the third day I found this. 3 gal fabric pots we're still moist, auto watering system was on and working as far as I can tell.

​​​​​first lesson I learned from this is that I need to start logging better notes again. I used to keep an excellent log on an old phone app. I can't get that app any longer and I haven't seen any that come close to comparison in the amount of information you were able to record.
My wife took care of the reservoirs while I was staying in the hospital. She did a good job, I walked her through it on video call. I can't even blame her because this happened on my watch after I already had been home for a week.

I've grown PurpAl for 5 years now. This time I tried something different.
I grew her this time by vegging her under heavy red light under the bestva 4000s with only the bloom switch on.
I've always heard that red light causes an increase in internodal space, and it does seem to do that. PurpAl always is short with branches on top of each other, bit this time it is slightly more stretchy.

What I wasn't expecting was the increase in leaf size.

This is biggest leaf she has put out since I popped her seed in may 2016.
And I can't actually remember,but I think this is first time I've ever seen her with 7 fingered leaves. If I have seen it before it's very rare. She's always tops out at 5.
