Paradise Seeds Wappa

Hi everyone,

Well I guess it's better late than never...

So here a some pics from just before the harvest and from the harvest, about 9 weeks into 12/12. A few of the plants could have done with a bit longer to ripen properly, but our landlord was going to start showing people round the house (rented accomodation) which meant a dozen random peeps in the room everyday when Im not there. So not knowing how well a humming budbox in the corner of the room would have gone down with the landord (and not wanting to find out), I decided to chop everything at the same time, apart from the 1st Wappa which was ready nearly a week before all the others...

Anyway, here are a few pics:

Cant speak for his^ but I grew some this year and, no, it doesn't smell of marshmallows. Mine smells of curry.... a fairly strong fenugreek / turmeric smell as bud and more hashy when ground. Sadly it doesn't transition to taste. Fortunately it's really very good weed! Very strong and not too lethargic.

I reckon those descriptions in Big Book Of Buds for Paradise seeds are put in as a joke to flush out people (I don't mean you, mate) who claim to have grown Paradise strains but haven't. The Opium, which I have also grown, smells nothing like the description in the book either! Anyway, give growing this Wappa a go: I rate it.

The Opium, which I have also grown, smells nothing like the description in the book either! Anyway, give growing this Wappa a go: I rate it.

My 4 opium are as follows :D

1 Plant extreme creamy grape and some of the whitest frosty bud I have grown to date. This plant is 100% bein kept for a long time

2 Plants very grape smelling without the creaminess.

1 Plant...fuckin opium all the way. You know it when you have smelled it and if you haven't run some poppies in your back yard and make some opium for yourself...

Check out my thread in flowering pics section will be updated more as harvest comes.

Opium has impressed me so much I even ordered 2 extra ten packs ontop of the original 5 pack.

Dutch dragon smells like watermelons and fruit amazing...seems like a small pheno hunt in the fem pack though so buy a 10 pack and not a 5 guaranteed winner in there.

Swiss bliss has a very fruity pheno pop 2 packs of the non fem. Awesome bud and extremely frosty.

Jacky White also smells intensely of grapefruits. The pheno I kept and cloned is smelling on the magnitude of any kush or chemdog line but of grapefruit dank. (We'll see how it is after the chop but so far wow smells crazy.)

This is a GREAT Grow!

Thanks for posting, I'm looking to grow some Wappa myself and you have been quite encouraging..

I love Wappa, Im about 6 weeks in on my 2nd run of her....The breeder description is spot on, imo... I love her....easy to grow, not alot of stretch, and produces the exact same dense, perfectly formed flowers everytime....a real winner...I like her more than my Sensi Star keeper.... A very pretty plant in flower.... Anyone have any guess as to what Wappa's parents are? I've seen a few different strains that look very similar but it's so hard to say.....Either way, Wappa is a keeper....Highly advise anyone to buy the beans and grow her out.... You will not be disappointed.... Nice yield of some dense and frosty meds.

Hi killerweed31, and thanks for bumping this :D I'm glad you enjoyed the show ! Wappa were some nice plants to work with. I don't really rate the Big Bang as much though, still nice smoke, and a really really nice smell, slightly like pineapple if I can remember right, but more airy buds and fairly less potent. The Wappa on the other hand had some rock solid colas, and a pungent earthy/hashy smell, and quite a potent stone too.

@b8man, Buddle, LiLWaynE and ranneG: Thanks :) The smoke wasn't bad at all. The Wappa was the most potent of the two, and a more "in your face" taste and stone. The Big Bang were nice too however, more of a daytime smoke, which is good as well, not too heavy hitting, and a fruitier smell and taste.

@acidnI_livE: These were grown in soil, using Canna set of nutes (you can find the full list in the first post of this thread). No nute issues whatsoever, I find these were rather easy and tolerant to any meal that I fed them. Then again, I don't usually push nutes too much, I've always prefered to stay on low side of the dosing.

@charlesweedmore: Cheers dude, hope you enjoyed the grow

@irieserver and Green Love: Indeed, I'm not sure where the harvest pics went either, I must have been too stoned at the time and didn't realize I hadn't put them up  I'll have a rummage around in my old pics to see if I can find pics of the harvest. No marshmallow smell as far as I remember.

@limey: Thanks for your input. I don't really recall a particular curry-like smell for the Wappa, but I sure rate it too :)

@40AmpstoFreedom: Cheers for that info. Opium is a strain I'd definitely like to grow someday ! I'll try and find some bud porn of these in my old pics, but I fear they might be hard to come across.

@prophis: The pleasure was all mine ! I'm glad you enjoyed the show !

@VIKINGtrich: Good question, I'm not too sure about Wappa's parents, anyhow definitely a nice and easy strain to grow, and a very rewarding smoke !

Happy growing
